I was excited to try 3rd & Ferry and enjoyed it but it was not special enough to re-visit.
At 1st our server seemed annoyed by us, almost like he didnt have the patience for us or our questions. He warmed up as he meal progressed. The beer flights are fantastic and reasonably priced but the beer was warm. Beer should be servced COLD.
They had a large selction of appetizers and we ordered 4. The calamari was fresh and delicious...but the waiter never asked us if we wanted classic or traditional ... We wanted Rhode Island calamari with banana peppers...ended up with plain old calamari thanks to the waiter who couldnt be bothered to take the time for us. The other apps were average but nothing special. The dessert was the best part of the meal. They have delicious pie and ice cream. But even the ice cream wasn't cold! It felt like they had an air conditioning and refrigeration problem. It was a nice place but nothing special, in my opinion.
We arrived and were taken to our table for a five o'clock reservation. When we arrived at our table the hostess says sorry the table isn't ready. There were at minimum ten other empty tables and she made us return out front to wait for our table to be cleaned. We were then brought back and seated directly next to another couple...with all of the empty tables around! This was our first time at the restaurant...and our last.
Took a while for the waitress to initially come to the table but then things went smoother. The manager came and spent time with our little girl and made her day. They got my order wrong but then comped is a dessert to make up for it. We frequent this place and generally really like it and have always had really good experiences.
Enjoyed everything about it. Brought a friend who felt the same way. Will definitely come back again.
I booked our reservation for Sunday Brunch I put with the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. Not once during our whole time there was a birthday mentioned. Why have a place to add details like this if you're not even going to acknowledge them? I enjoyed the overall ambience of the restaurant and our food was great. The service wasn't that great. The oysters were delicious! I am a server myself so I try not to be over critical of other servers, but our server didn't check up on us much. I actually had another server get our check and check us out since our meter was expiring soon and we didn't see our server for awhile. Despite this I will be back again to enjoy the Sunday Brunch specials, but I don't think I'll bring anyone here again for a birthday.
Disappointing - noise level was high, service was poor, and the food mediocre. Cost vs quality made it one to pass on in the future. I've had better fish at a chain.
On the positive side, it has a very nice vibe and and a nice atmosphere. Appears to be a great place to grab a drink and appetizer or a beer and burger. Seems like a local hot spot for that reason. But don't expect anything finer than that. This is a beginner level "seafood" restaurant at best. Review - Again, don't call this place a fish market just because you have clams and oysters. May want to actually have a couple of unique fish specials. And crab stuffed tilapia is just a generic dish. Only "fish" special was scallops. First, we were seated upstairs in a corner that had very little light and was hot. Thankfully people kept walking by so we got a little breeze. Drinks were fine but not much of a wine list. Ordered our meal and received the appetizers. Calamari was OK, but the crab cake sliders were mediocre. More pasty than crab cake and on a very crappy bun. As we were eating our appetizers they delivered the meal. So we had to quickly finish appetizers and start the main meal. This is the sign of a very disorganized kitchen or a restaurant that just wants to push through the patrons. It killed the whole meal. Most ordered the pan seared scallops which were downright disappointing. You can judge a good to great restaurant by the way they cook scallops, you get that nice brown sear. Not here! One or two had it but the rest had that unappetizing white scallop top. Very inconsistent. The sauce was also overpowering and drowned out the flavor of the scallops. Had to scrape it off to reduce the potency. The combination plate looked even worse. My mom told me it was one of the worst meals she ever had. We finished the dinner and got out of there. No coffee or desert. Again, it appears to be a great meeting spot for a burger and beer or oysters. But don't go here for any type of dining experience or a decent meal.
Fantastic restaurant. Cool atmosphere and great food.
Awesome - food, service and prices! Would definitely go back!
Always love this place great staff. Every time...Tabitha..Jorge.Sean.stepped up for father in law dinner
My wife and I go there often, love the Sunday Brunch oysters are $1.00 each and bloody marys are $5.00. the food is great especially the market fries.
Fresh seafood to die for. I had the crab legs and they were so yummy. They came with potatoes and green beans. My husband had the special of the day which was braised short ribs. We both couldn't stop raving about it. We love coming here and look forward to our return trip.
As a local we eat here at least once a month. The food is consistently excellent, and the specials are phenomenal. Great drink menu, too.
Quaint happy location in Easton. The inside reminded me a bit of New Orleans. Service was fast and our server was friendly. An overall great dinning experience and we will be putting it in our rotation of places to go.
Nice setting and ambiance. Good liquor and beer selection. Wine is not well conserved.Food not that great: overcooked fish (this is a seafood restaurant), dishes too salty.
Very nice. Only issue I had was I do not put my purse on the floor the chairs we sat on had round backs so I had to hold it!! Nice place to eat at before going to state Theater nice walk to there! Not long at all
One of our favorite restaurants in the Lehigh Valley. The food is consistently delicious.
The oysters were good and they held our table when we were late.
We really enjoyed our dinner. The food was outstanding, the service was very good and the restaurant and bar was very lively. This was our first time eating here and we will definitely be back.
Good food and service. Will definitely be returning.
Great atmosphere and staff. Server was very attentive to our needs. Market Fries are awesome! Also recommend crab cakes.
Our experience from beginning to end was fantastic. Oysters, ceviche, calamari...all of the Staples perfect. Christa was a great server, attentive but not overbearing. Everyone worked well together and staff was always smiling. Shows me they are all happy working for this establishment. That makes a guests experience 100 times better!
We had a fabulous meal my wife had the lobster and my college friend and I had the Swordfish.
This is his first visit, I have dined at the restaurant for lunch several times and have never been disappointed.
Following several great experiences at Third and Ferry our latest visit was somewhat spoiled by excessive heat in the 90's, due to a failed AC unit in our area, and excessive noise, most likely due to the mezzanine level table. One would think that older people would not be seated in the hottest noisiest and most difficult to access area!!!
WE LOVE EATING AT THIS PLACE. WE NORMALLY SIT AT THE BAR AND EAT.
THE SERVICE IS GENERALLY GOOD BUT ON SUNDAY, MOTHERS DAY LEFT A LOT
TO BE DESIRED. ALTHOUGH MY DAUGHTER & I MADE A 3PM RESERVATION, WE
ONCE AGAIN OPTED TO SIT AT THE BAR. THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT CROWDED AT ALL.
SERVICE WAS POOR....APPETIZERS WERE SERVED WITH NO PLATE, UTENSILS OR NAPKIN.'
IT TOOK A BIT BEFORE WE COULD GET SOMEONES ATTENTION. APPETIZERS PLATES WERE NOT REMOVED WHEN DINNER PLATES CAME. NO SALT AND NO ONE LOOKING OUT FOR US.
IT TOOK 9 MINS JUST TO GET THE ATTENTION OF THE BAR SERVER TO GET THE BILL.
THEN IT TOOK 10-15MINS FOR THEM TO GET THE PAYMENT.
STILL NO CROWD IN THE RESTAURANT
FOOD IS SOOOO GOOD BUT SERVICE IS LACKING. I
Fabulous meal as usual. The scallops were scrumptious, and the bernaise sauce on the Mahi was delicious. The apple pie milkshake dessert was very tasty, but could have been slightly thicker. Overall a great experience to celebrate Mother's Day!
Service, food, atmosphere, wait staff was extremely accomodating fantastic in every way important
Family in from Chicago....they loved 3rd and Ferry fish market. the sword fish was fish and cooked perfectly....the service was outstanding....I love the team effort towards quality service . The waitress got very busy and hostess came over and took our drink order ....wow....you do not see that very often. Everything was out standing ...take you.
I have dined at this restaurant several times and have always had a fine meal. On this occasion the mahi mahi was very dry. That said, the shrimp cocktail was excellent and so was my wife's tuna entree'. The service was very good and the ambiance is always pleasing. I will continue to have this restaurant on my list of regulars.
Great food, amazing service, nice atmosphere. It's really hard to find all 3. This is our favorite restaurant.
Shrimp appetizer was at best average, oysters were the worst I've ever had and were served after our entrees were served. Entrees were good ( salmon and steak).
We love this place. Have been here many times. It was our anniversary this time, complimentary bubbly was a nice touch. Great for friends night out too! Food and cocktails are always great!
Great service, chowder a little runny but the bacon cheese burgers are excellent!
Enjoyed a wide variety of dishes, sitting up on the mezzanine overlooking the bar. Good service, creative menu, pleasant atmosphere.
Great food and service. Went early on a Friday night. By the time we finished our meal around 6:30, the restaurant was already pretty loud. I'd go back, though.
Loved it. My new favorite restaurant.
Fun venue that was full of happy people! The service & the food was excellent! Great bar, nice selection of draft beers & drinks. A large crowd made for a noisy start but settled after a short while. Though it's a 40 minute drive for us, we go there often. I highly recommend 3rd & Ferry Fish Market!
We ate upstairs to stay away from the crowd. There were many people crowded inside and out.- to the point that those eating outside were surrounded. This is good for the restsurant but it was extremely loud. Food was good as usual.
It was some of the best seafood I've had!!! The scallops were so good. Very nice service for our 10th Anniversary. I would always choose to eat downstairs b/c upstairs seemed like MAYHEM!!!! So noisy! And the dessert was delicious as well. Getting the ice cream fresh from the local creamery is a smart choice. Thanks again for the awesome service and food!
