We call it the “collective kitchen.” For the menus of 3800 Ocean are inspired not only by the local abundance of South Florida’s renowned crops that thrive under a hospitable climate, but by the regional flavors that stir the souls of our collaborative team of chefs. Each chef brings a new insight to the table: the comfort food favorites of New England; the fire and spice of Mexico; the Caribbean traditions of Jamaica; and the ageless classics of Long Island. Our own local abundance of fresh produce and seafood allows us to take the collective kitchen dining concept quite literally. Everything is made from scratch. Every taste evokes an emotional connection to a past culinary memory, or perhaps a future craving.

Practically ignored in the outdoor seating section. Very long cycles between attention from the waiter/waitress. Multiple request for same items (condiments). Had to physically go inside and request simple things like menus, etc. Hardly worth going all that way to have lunch on the beach.
Mother’s Day Grand Buffet was not very Grand!!! Little choice and poor quality food. I have had better quality buffets at my own home. What a waste of $85 per person. But the staff were lovely. Never again.
Place was beautiful. Was not aware it was a buffet but at that point, we stayed anyway. Service was great, first cocktail was made wrong and did not ask for grey goose, but was charged for it. Appetizers and dessert were very good. Main dishes were good, but were room temperature at best, very disappointing.
Overpriced drinks, had to wait a half hour longer for food, because it wasn’t set up yet. The menu said salmon, there was no salmon. Need more waiter staff, had to wait for water.
Mother's Day Brunch. Food and service were fine, nothing exceptional. Nice location on the Ocean.
Friends from nY and I took them there for breakfast it was fantastic
I can't begin to express how upset I was when I arrived at this establishment. The photos for this restaurant are false, and the address eludes to something that the pictures reflect. The photos show an elevated restaurant with an ocean view...could not be further from the truth.
It's located within a hotel...but on the first floor as soon as you walk in...and is nothing more than a higher-priced Denny's with slightly better plating skills. For my last night in Florida with my daughter, I really wanted a special venue and was more than let down.
I simply just don't appreciate false advertising. I hope OpenTable will do a better job of vetting in the future.
Meals were meh, but service was very slow. Sadly it was not the fault of the server, but the lack of kitchen staff and servers to accommodate a full restaurant. Prices were extremely high for everything from a glass of wine to mac and cheese. I do not feel like the food was worth the money.
We dined in on Easter and no one told us at all that it was buffet only. The sandwiches and mini burgers were burnt. The “truffle” Mac and cheese was mush. Extremely overpriced for what you got.
The most expensive dinner buffet. $85 per adult and $40 children. That one stung with a family of 5...love that my 3 year old had 3 carrots for $40
$85 per person for Easter brunch and food was obviously sitting under a heat lamp all day. Not worth it. Atmosphere great, nice hotel, staff friendly and pleasant. Food not so much. Dried out lobster Mac and cheese and prime rib (more like well done roast beef). Ham dried out. Should have also been more food options in general.
Beautiful views , good food and Service !
Easter Brunch was extremely overpriced for the service, food selection and experience. $85 a person not including coffee or juice with a waiter that checked on us once and hockey puck burgers, no kid options, minimal buffet selection, and poor quality over all. No room to get around other people and couldn’t even hear the live pianist. Should have been one of the best tasting meals and a very special celebration but didn’t even come close!
The food was cold and not warm and it was my niece birthday and I was not impressed
Literally the worst Over priced food for the lack of quality. We ordered rock shrimp, it was regular shrimp. They didn’t even let us know that it wasn’t rock shrimp , it was like Publix Shrimp. Never ever again 🤮
Doesn’t have the great views advertised. Outdoor seating is ina concrete patio and no real view
Very Enjoyable dinner experience at 3800 Ocean. Wonderful choices on the menu .All servers and host very professional and courteous. Beautiful ambience and location. Strongly recommend for a special dinner .
We arrived early and the Dining Room Host suggested we enjoy a cocktail in the Bar and he suggested that if we were Bourbon drinkers that the Bartender's speciality was a Smoked Makers Old Fashion....well it was truly amazing and memorable!
Dinner was delicious, I had a deconstructed Lobster Pot Pie and my husband had the Short Ribs. The only disappointment was that his Brussel sprouts were mushy.
We enjoyed the outdoor patio very much. Our entrees of grouper and short ribs were delicious. Lauren provided great service.
The most amazing food so incredibly tasty. Amazing service. And the view is stunning.
This is our favorite restaurant by far in Miramar! It would be hard-pressed to find a restaurant with this quality. Service and price!
Worst experience ever at a Marriott restaurant! Took 4 different people to get us seated despite reservations. The lobster bisque was cold. Both the steak and grouper were also cold. Sat for 18 minutes as the waitresses decided who would service us. Every action within the restaurant seemed disorganized. I will not return. Oh, by the way, I have nearly 2,000,000 Bonvoy points so I have been to more than a few Marriott restaurants.
As a local, I go here occasionally and bring friends/family when they visit because of the views and ambiance. I went with family and was very unimpressed with the experience. Firstly they were understaffed, our waitress had ~7/8 tables (she was working hard too), so service was slower but she was still attentive when she visited our table. My father ordered the lobster bisque, it was very watery. I ordered the "Lobster Pot Pie" which was atrocious. It was the lobster bisque just poured into a larger plate with some frozen peas, carrots, and potatoes thrown in. It was not the consistency you expect a pot pie to be (like a gravy, almost). For the price I was astounded at the quality, but I honestly felt sick after taking 3 bites so we hurried up and left ASAP. Felt like their quality/options have gone down immensely. Hopefully once COVID is over it goes back up or I will not be returning.
For Valentine's Day, I think it was the best they could do. Perhaps we will have better luck in the future elsewhere.
Entrees were luke warm at best, but the food was delicious and well-presented. Huge disappointment about the temperature, but we also waited a very long time for our entrees so they were just left out and not delivered to us. We went for Valentine's Day with a Price fixed menu of $85 per person which included a glass of pink chanpagne but they forgot to give it to us. We received our check before we ever saw the chanpagne so we just decided to leave. I don't want to spend a Valentine's Day dinner complaining about service. Check about $240. Should have been perfect for that price.
Special v day menu with our. Fix $85 and no choice of other option NEVER INFORMED told we could have tacos at the pool REALLY cxxxxxxxc ccxxxcxxcxcxxxxxxcccxccccccccccccccccccccccccccvvvvvvvvvvvvvgvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
We went on Valentine’s Day with our children . Was not aware that there was a price fixe menu with limited selections. They did allow my children to order off the children’s menu.
I highly do not recommend you go to this place on Valentine’s Day. They have a prefix menu with only has four options to choose from horrible place!
Food and service was excellent. I would definitely go again.
Didn't even stay, I thought it would be a sophisticated restaurant, only to be surprised by how bad the service was.
Nice bar but the inside was lacking ambience
Went to ocean front restaurant to find no ocean view at my table but a wall with an extremely limited food menu .
It looked like a lunch cafe not a beautiful ocean front restaurant
Gorgeous ocean view and delicious meal, limited menu but enough to choose from, valet parking was validated by waitress which was great - beautiful hotel.
It's the only oceanfront restaurant north of the Breakers. Food's okay. It's the Marriott hotel restaurant so basically what you'd expect.
We ate on the patio. Outstanding ocean views. Server acted like we were in convincing her. Dodd was good but not memorable. Go for the views!
excellent food and service with a beautiful ocean view.
Outstanding short ribs and filet medallion entrees!
Empty restaurant but the food was fresh, cooked to order and very good. The chichi cocktail was great and the service was excellent. The fish was a little pricey, but very good. We would recommend this restaurant.
The menu was limited due to Covid however the food was amazing! The chocolate creme brûlée was excellent! As were the apps. The salmon dish and wild mushrooms.
Plenty of space indoors for distancing. The service was also great.
Huge Christmas tree in the foyer was beautiful! Thank you!
