We call it the “collective kitchen.” For the menus of 3800 Ocean are inspired not only by the local abundance of South Florida’s renowned crops that thrive under a hospitable climate, but by the regional flavors that stir the souls of our collaborative team of chefs. Each chef brings a new insight to the table: the comfort food favorites of New England; the fire and spice of Mexico; the Caribbean traditions of Jamaica; and the ageless classics of Long Island. Our own local abundance of fresh produce and seafood allows us to take the collective kitchen dining concept quite literally. Everything is made from scratch. Every taste evokes an emotional connection to a past culinary memory, or perhaps a future craving.
Amazing food. Every item we ordered was unique and simply perfect. Not a bad meal since we began eating here. It’s like a hidden gem that not many people know about but should.
We were first guests for an evening meal. We were seated by the window but in the corner although there were 3 other tables with no reservation sign. Waited 5 minutes before a waiter came and literately dropped off menus. Waited 10 minutes before returned to take wine order. ($100). He brought & opened bottle then gone. Another couple came who must be staying at hotel. They ordered drinks immediately and then we, and them, were brought bread by support man. Finally he became for our order. We ordered Starters, Steak tips with Foie gras ($18) and Corn/lobster chowder ($12) and Salmon ($25) and Monk in the Trunk ($40) as entrees. By then all four tables were filled. After another 15 minutes the 2nd couple got their starters and the restaurant greeter saw me looking and asked if she could help. I said we were the first to arrive and others we’re already being served. She went to check and came back with our entrees. I said we hadn’t had our starters but, as we were hungry, we’d start. The waiter came running over with one starter and I said to forget it. The Chowder would have been prepared and cooking steak tips would be quick but we’re never delivered and our entrees were already done too. They took off the starters but for a dinner costing $196 for two people it was disaster. The salmon was not cooked through so half was left and the Monk was as bad as the service. The couple at the next table were also not impressed with the service and said they too wouldn’t be returning. Worst meal of our week in Palm Beach area. Save money and get better food and service at other restaurants.
Very nice. We enjoyed our breakfast very much. Food was well prepared and service was spectacular. Presentation was also top drawer -- extra touches that make a person feel special. Very nice. Valet parking was complimentary with validation. Prices were a bit high -- I guess that's to be expected at a resort hotel. Bloody Mary was $14. Omelette $14 Sandwich $18. It was all quite good though.
Entries are expensive. Getting an app would be plenty of enough food if you weren't famished.
Fish special like rubber. Uneventful but waiter was wonderful. Could here chefs yelling which was annoying . Wasn’t busy . Needs linen on tables & windows cleaned
Elegant, lovely dining room. Expert attentive service and world class food at a reasonable price.
Are here a year ago same time but not as impressive this time
Seems like they were under staffed and under stocked for transitional period with “snow birds” arriving in a few weeks. Out of wines listed on menu, salad did not have pecans in it as described in menu, no salt/pepper on table.
Honestly we expected great things after reading the great reviews. Our dinner was good, service was just ok. View was beautiful. The best part was the bread basket. Although it was not what we hoped for, we will give them another chance for sure. We did enjoy the breakfast the next morning with a very attentive and friendly waiter.
Beautiful view, good food and great staff. Enjoyed the start to our day .
The staff are lovely and my turkey burger was super delicious
The view out the restaurant window is gorgeous at sunset. You sit looking out at the ocean with the waves lapping the sand. However, because it is a large open room, the sound is very loud for an intimate dinner . The service was very good and our waitress was knowledgable and very pleasant. The food is ok. Its a very unique menu, but we felt that several things just didn't go together. One of our entrees was a scallop dish. But they served chunks of pork belly with scallops?? The two just don;t mix and the pork belly was tough. you only got 3 large scallops and the meal was $36. Over priced for what we received. the lobster corn chowder was not good. It didn't have a creamy buttery flavor and it was too watery. The flavor was off. We sent it back. Our second entree was a grouper topped with crab meat that was also just ok. Needed a bit more flavor. There was a lot of crabmeat on it but felt it needed something like more butter?? It was a $40 entree and again over priced for what you get. The salad was very good (the green salad) and the dessert good (chocolate creme brulee). Overall it is just ok. Nothing great beyond the view.
Terrible atmosphere. Weird, huge, open area middle of restaurant. Loud echoes. No steak on menu. Waiter screwed up the one drink order we had.
Over $100 for one drink and 2 appetizers. Had dinner here because we were staying at the hotel. Next time we will Uber somewhere.
Great experience right on the ocean. Grouper and Swordfish were delicious. Wedge salad huge, enough for 2 or 3!
Would recommend and will go again when we are in the area.
Watching the waters of the Atlantic, is a perfect place for date night.
Upon arrival we found out that there is complimentary Valet with Dinner, very Nice!
The place was beautiful, the Staff was very courteous and friendly. The food was pretty good, the Dessert was Amazing!
Would definitely recommend, we brought the kids, everybody was accommodated.
Made a reservation for dinner but when we arrived the dinning room was closed for a wedding so we had to sit outside on the patio on a warm night. Food was very good with my wife having a fish stew with lots of fish, clams and shrimp. I had the Osso Bucco which was fall off the bone tender.
I made reservations through open table based on the good reviews while on vacation. Looking forward to a enjoyable dinner and request window table hoping for a wonder view of the ocean. I received a text confirming my reservations the day before. Great!
When I got there with my family I was informed the restaurant was closed for a wedding and we could sit outside or in the lounge by the bar. Well... it would have been good if i was informed of this when i made the reservations or when they confirmed the day before..... so since we were already there I was optimistic and choose outside. Which was on the side of the building.
Long story short. service was slow and inattentive. My Osso buco was dry and inedible, my daughter's filet mignon that was supposed to be medium rare, came out medium well, my son's burger that was supposed to be medium, came out well done. The my husband's caesar salad came out good. Lol!
To top it off the waiter argued that he saw pink in the medium well done steak that was supposed to be medium rare. Anyhow... I would not recommend this restaurant!
Another great meal at 3800 Ocean! Thanks for making our anniversary a special night!
Excellent setting, food, and wonderful service. Our waitress Jen was phenomenal. Food was excellent, accessible menu with some surprises. Can find multiple options for everyone including an adventurous diner. Would come back again in a heartbeat.
The food was fabulous and we were made comfortable and welcomed by the staff. The noise level was slightly more then we expected but I would recommend 3800 anytime.
Beautiful view of the beach if you get a table near the windows. Make sure they validate your valet ticket for parking.
Located on the ground floor of the Marriott Palm Beach, Singer Island, is the 3800 Ocean restaurant. The restaurant features an "open kitchen" and either table or booth seating. We were seated at our request next to the floor to ceiling windows the looked out to the Atlantic across the beachfront of the hotel. The wine list is among the very best in all of West Palm Beach featuring hundreds of options! The selection we chose for seafood dishes was "Karia" from Stags Leap of Napa Valley, California. Our meal started with a shrimp cocktail with four very large shrimp on a tray that additionally featured a fabulous mini-salad of Arugula and heart of palm. The main courses were excellently prepared. Any of the fish selections make good choices. Our meal was followed by a sorbet of Blueberries and Grapefruit that was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal. The service was excellent and the cost was appropriate for the quality received. All-in-all, a good value and a great choice for dinner.
The restaurant was very nice and inviting. We were sent to a table by the window to view the ocean which was really nice. I had the scallops dinner and it was very worth the flavor of wait. The other two had the crusted grouper. The deserts were awesome. Kudos to the chef. The waiter was very attentive to our needs. Thank you for a great evening out.
Overpriced and poor service. Will not go back.
I thought we were going to be sitting at a beautiful restaurant on the beach but we instead were looking through a dirty window at the ocean in a restaurant with very poor ambiance. Food is terrible and ridiculously expensive. My son ordered a Caesar salad and it had no dressing on it... I had the burrata to start and it was mostly tomatoes with the smallest piece of burrata with regular mozzarella... we had tenderloin which was average at best. Don’t waste your money.
There are many other restaurants in the area that in the future i would go. Do yourself a favor grab an Uber and go elsewhere. We ate here 2 nights. First night my pasta dish came out with chicken I ordered shrimp. By the time it came back my wife was finished with her scallops (which she said was very good). 2nd time wife had Prime Rib special....first time i have seen Prime Rib prepared on a flat top grill. Certainly not what was expecting. Btw fish tacos for lunch were good. Sorry folks just being honest.
The food was AMAZING!!! I had the grouper topped with crab and it was delicious...almost as delicious as the cookie dough bread pudding. And the view could not have been better!
Not happy with our meal. Ordered grilled filet mignon. Meat and entire entree Luke warm. Meat not grilled on both sides. Very disappointed. Was looking forward to an excellent meal as this was a return visit to this restaurant
We had a great time, our server, Fran, was outstanding.
Excellent service, beautiful views of the beach and gorgeous decor. Fine dining at its best!
Poor service. Waiting for server
Great food and awesome ambiance. We sat on the outdoor patio and enjoyed the waves.
Great food! Very well done! I found the portions a little small for the price. Cocktails again were a little pricey, but again, very well done. Absolutely no complaints with quality!!! My only reservation for recommending 3800, was the fact that, their online menu wasn't even remotely close to the same at the time we were there. Waiter said the online wasn't just wasn't updated yet. That unfortunately gave us the feeling of being dupped. Especially since it was mother's day.
Nice valet parking welcome. Special Mothers Day rose gift to my wife with seating. Nice buffet lunch special including desserts. Too much to list. Nice job.
Unfortunately, restaurant did not plan ahead for our reservation and sat walk ins which broke up the amount of tables they needed for our large party. We waited over 20minutes to be ushered to a table where seats were crammed in between columns. Didn’t even fit. The whole point of making a reservation, especially for a large party is to avoid this. There were many items missing from their usual breakfast selections. Restaurant was more focused on their upcoming brunch than on
Great spaghetti and meatballs! This restaurant always has delicious entrees and the view of the ocean from the restaurant is beautiful. Singer Island is awesome.
Food was phenomenal! Had the grouper. It was one of the best fish meals I ever had! Yumola!
We stayed at the Marriott and while the morning breakfasts here were great, we joined for dinner and had a bad experience. We went for my wife’s birthday dinner and the service was very disappointing. I would definitely recommend for breakfast if staying at the hotel, but would not come for dinner again on our next visit.
3800 was a great spot for our anniversary. Staff was very accommodating. Food was excellent. For starters we had the PEI mussels. I had the Osso Buco , my wife , the Bronzini. My wife is very picky about restaurant food quality and she was very satisfied, as was I. Alcoholic beverages are pricey. Next time I’m on Singer Isle I’ll definitely return to 3800.
