3800 Ocean
We call it the “collective kitchen.” For the menus of 3800 Ocean are inspired not only by the local abundance of South Florida’s renowned crops that thrive under a hospitable climate, but by the regional flavors that stir the souls of our collaborative team of chefs. Each chef brings a new insight to the table: the comfort food favorites of New England; the fire and spice of Mexico; the Caribbean traditions of Jamaica; and the ageless classics of Long Island. Our own local abundance of fresh produce and seafood allows us to take the collective kitchen dining concept quite literally. Everything is made from scratch. Every taste evokes an emotional connection to a past culinary memory, or perhaps a future craving.

The most amazing food so incredibly tasty. Amazing service. And the view is stunning.
Worst experience ever at a Marriott restaurant! Took 4 different people to get us seated despite reservations. The lobster bisque was cold. Both the steak and grouper were also cold. Sat for 18 minutes as the waitresses decided who would service us. Every action within the restaurant seemed disorganized. I will not return. Oh, by the way, I have nearly 2,000,000 Bonvoy points so I have been to more than a few Marriott restaurants.

As a local, I go here occasionally and bring friends/family when they visit because of the views and ambiance. I went with family and was very unimpressed with the experience. Firstly they were understaffed, our waitress had ~7/8 tables (she was working hard too), so service was slower but she was still attentive when she visited our table. My father ordered the lobster bisque, it was very watery. I ordered the "Lobster Pot Pie" which was atrocious. It was the lobster bisque just poured into a larger plate with some frozen peas, carrots, and potatoes thrown in. It was not the consistency you expect a pot pie to be (like a gravy, almost). For the price I was astounded at the quality, but I honestly felt sick after taking 3 bites so we hurried up and left ASAP. Felt like their quality/options have gone down immensely. Hopefully once COVID is over it goes back up or I will not be returning.
For Valentine's Day, I think it was the best they could do. Perhaps we will have better luck in the future elsewhere.
Anniversary
Entrees were luke warm at best, but the food was delicious and well-presented. Huge disappointment about the temperature, but we also waited a very long time for our entrees so they were just left out and not delivered to us. We went for Valentine's Day with a Price fixed menu of $85 per person which included a glass of pink chanpagne but they forgot to give it to us. We received our check before we ever saw the chanpagne so we just decided to leave. I don't want to spend a Valentine's Day dinner complaining about service. Check about $240. Should have been perfect for that price.
Special v day menu with our. Fix $85 and no choice of other option NEVER INFORMED told we could have tacos at the pool REALLY cxxxxxxxc ccxxxcxxcxcxxxxxxcccxccccccccccccccccccccccccccvvvvvvvvvvvvvgvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
We went on Valentine’s Day with our children . Was not aware that there was a price fixe menu with limited selections. They did allow my children to order off the children’s menu.
I highly do not recommend you go to this place on Valentine’s Day. They have a prefix menu with only has four options to choose from horrible place!
Food and service was excellent. I would definitely go again.
Didn't even stay, I thought it would be a sophisticated restaurant, only to be surprised by how bad the service was.
Limited menu
Nice bar but the inside was lacking ambience
Went to ocean front restaurant to find no ocean view at my table but a wall with an extremely limited food menu .
It looked like a lunch cafe not a beautiful ocean front restaurant
Gorgeous ocean view and delicious meal, limited menu but enough to choose from, valet parking was validated by waitress which was great - beautiful hotel.
It's the only oceanfront restaurant north of the Breakers. Food's okay. It's the Marriott hotel restaurant so basically what you'd expect.
We ate on the patio. Outstanding ocean views. Server acted like we were in convincing her. Dodd was good but not memorable. Go for the views!
excellent food and service with a beautiful ocean view.
Outstanding short ribs and filet medallion entrees!
Empty restaurant but the food was fresh, cooked to order and very good. The chichi cocktail was great and the service was excellent. The fish was a little pricey, but very good. We would recommend this restaurant.
The menu was limited due to Covid however the food was amazing! The chocolate creme brûlée was excellent! As were the apps. The salmon dish and wild mushrooms.
Plenty of space indoors for distancing. The service was also great.
Huge Christmas tree in the foyer was beautiful! Thank you!
Sunday Menu was very limited
My date and I arrived at the restaurant and had valet for the car. Then the hostess checked us in and asked if we wanted inside or outside dining. I chose outside initially but went back inside as it got very windy and chilly. The menu was very limited. Maybe 5 or less items per appetizer, entree and desert section. But the food was fantastic. I had the crab cake covered grouper. It was sooooo good! No leftovers. My date had Ribeye steak and he loved it as well. We wanted wine but they didn’t have that many selections because they were changing the menu. There was plenty of room to social distance. The ambiance was great and the views were as well. I would give it a 5 star but I think most things have changed due to Covid. But I definitely would go back and recommend it to others
We had breakfast three times here and is was delightful. Inside FAR better than outside. Gracious servers. Food was very tasty, good portions.
Bar is terrific.
The menu on open table was not the menu we received. The app needs to be updated. Unacceptable!!!!
The menu was limited but the food was excellent (Caesar salad, scallops and fruit and goat cheese flatbread) and wine selection was fine. We were one of the few people in the restaurant so we had a great beach view table by the window and it was very quiet. Enjoyable evening.
The food and the is spectacular. Our waiter happened to be less than ideal. There were only 3 tables with a couple at each in the whole restaurant. He seemed preoccupied and wasn’t attentive at all. Over the course of a 90 mi Ute meal he came to our table once to take our order, once to fill up our water glasses when I hailed him from across the room and once to being the bill while serving the desert. 3 times in 90 minutes is unusual for a very nice place.
Wonderful Ocean view
What happen wasn't acceptable and manager could have handled it better. Will not be returning.
The manager and staff were super friendly and very eager to make sure you felt comfortable and enjoyed your diner experience! Food was also exceptional!
We were at a Marriott Vacation Club property in Palm Beach Shores, FL. The resort was fabulous. I had to use some Vacation Club Points by the end of the year, and I was told I could use them to pay for dinner at the Palm Beach Marriott Hotel on Singer Island. We had always had good success at Marriott propertied and It was our anniversary so we thought going to 3800 Ocean would be a great way to celebrate. We could not have been more wrong. A reservation was made in our name and they told them to "take good care of them since it was their anniversary". We should have been tipped off when we arrived and saw 3 tables in use. I thought it was Covid related. It was food related! They had no record of a reservation and we were told to sit anywhere outside. The "Outdoor waterfront dining" was round picnic tables without umbrellas. We were told not to sit closet to the water because the wind might blow our salad away.
Because of Covid, I suspect, the menu was small. 5 items small, then some burgers. My wife and I ordered entries. The Grouper I had was actually pretty good, but it was covered with "crab" that was like a crab flavored stove top stuffing. It had yellow mashed potatoes that tasted like instant, and a green pile of stuff they called spinach but it was little green strings. My wife had Filet Mignon. We had never seen it served covered in gravy before! She also had the plastic yellow potatoes.
The kids got a turkey burger and a chicken sandwich. The kids are 28 and 27 and there was nothing they would eat on the menu. We ordered the least costly bottle of wine at $68 and it was a screw top and was not that good. All told it was a $220 meal that I rated one star because they did not have a half star. If you ever have to use your points like we did, just eat lunch at the resort. It will be much better and not leave you totally disappointed. I tried to be understanding due to Covid, but it could have been much better than it was.
For a pricey restaurant as 3800 Ocean is, this was one of the worst dining experiences ever! The service was mediocre but the food was horrible. We both ordered $40 filet mignons and both were overcooked. And I ordered asparagus as my side but it came out with broccolini. The worst part was the broccolini was cold to the point that it seemed to be taken out of the cooler and put on my plate. I will never be back! And shame on Marriott for having such a horrible restaurant on their beautiful property!
Andrew the manager was awesome. Food and service was great. View of ocean was wonderful. Great experience
I understand that the Wuh is a serious issue. It may be difficult to find employees that want to sign on for a promise of 50% lower tips based on the county limits on seating compared to pre Wuh. On this night there was one server for two very large parties (10plus) and about a dozen tables of 2 or four. The man who seated us immediately brought us water. After that it was 20 minutes of NO ONE making eye contact with us. The ONLY waitress finally approached us and said sarcastically that she would be right back. We left.
It is a hotel captive restaurant. This one doesn’t have enough crew to serve the natives.
Explore before eating here.... so many better places... head north!!!!!
Very nice server, limited menu, but good.
Had dinner to celebrate us getting married and it was a fantastic meal! Staff was great. Thank you
Food tasted horrible, restaurant floor was dirty, paid almost 300 for burgers and salads.
Staycation honeymoon since my wife and I are first responders. We thought this was going to be nice and the food was terrible and the server was not personable at all.
The restaurant is nice but obviously on limited menu service due to CoVid. The food selection was just ok but overpriced in my opinion. The view would have been nice but a huge rainstorm came and spoiled it (not the restaurant’s fault). However, the screaming noisy kid was something that was definitely an ambiance spoiler. Overall, It wasn’t with the $110 check.
W3e went for my husbands birthday dinner. that was the first thing I said to our waitress as she introduced herself. We didn't see her much after we placed our order, she was much too busy for us. I tipped just 20% but felt like dropping a penny on the table:-(. No birthday trinket at the end of the meal, no, "Happy Birthday" sir, NOTHING. We had to take our bill to the register like she sort of pancake house, because she was nowhere to be found. Then, "Salt in the wound" came when the table next to us had everyone singing happy birthday for someone at their table...and YES, he got a birthday dessert!
Thoroughly enjoyed the food - scallop dish was wonderful as was the burrata and heirloom tomatoes.
Really great staff! So friendly and really spot on with the safety protocols, we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Menu was a bit abridged but had everything to offer you would want. I had the grouper and my wife a burger, both were great and quickly served. The Pina Colada was amazing and our server went out of her way to make it special.
If in the area I highly recommend 3800
