Pros:
-Their pork schnitzel is a MUST HAVE! Paired with the Isabella beer... SOOo GOOD!
-They have GREAT menus for food and vast beverage options!
-Comfortable setting.
-Plenty of viewing options for sporting events.
-Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their menus

Cons:
-For a place with such creative food and beverage options. Their dessert menu is the only thing really lacking here. Their bread pudding is NOT good. It's way too dense and sadly not a traditional bread pudding. Just way too heavy of a dessert to pair with most of their very tasty comfort food options.

*Luckily, there are plenty of bakeries, shaved iced and ice cream shops within walking distance for your dessert needs.

I was surprised we could get in with our party of 8 on graduation night. We will be back without the group too. Liked that they took reservations so we could sit down when we walked in the door.

I've never had a problem with the food at 38 Degrees. The menu is varied, the preparations creative, quality ingredients are used, and everything tastes delicious. My only problem with this restaurant is that it's way too noisy in the evening. Lunchtime is fine, but the combination of multiple TVs plus loud music plus people speaking way too loud just to be heard (and not always successful) means that I will only enjoy 38 Degrees on rare occasions. Usually at lunchtime. If only the seating area that's almost in a separate room from the bar could be kept quiet, that would enhance the experience immeasurably.

Service was fast and friendly. Somehow all the mixed drinks with fresh lime were bitter. When we told the drink runner she asked if we wanted it sweeter, that's really not going to fix the bitterness. Had a yelp check in for 50% off an appetizer but the server that gave our original server a break forgot to give us the discount. Asked our server for a beer recommendation and told him that I normally drink 805, he suggested a pilsener and told me that that's what a 805 is....I know it's a ale but went with it anyway. All the food was delicious!!!!

Great food and wonderful staff! We were meeting our family and they were late AND brought a baby in a stroller plus a 5 year old! They staff kindly let grandma and grandpa wait at our table. We always get this kind of friendly service and return with our group every time we are in town.
The food is delicious, beer interesting, and the gin cocktail...Wow!

Great food! I always try to order something new. I've tried the grilled salmon, boar burger, corn beef flautas, tempura fish and chips and are all gourmet delicious!:) They have a wonderful beer selection and even offer beer flights that are fun to try! One of my favorite restaurants!!! The service is on point!!!

We were not familiar with the area but needed a special spot for our college daughter - celebrating the end of her competitive swim career. She's vegan but the rest of the group is not so we needed quality options for both. 38 Degrees met and exceeded the expectation! Everyone loved the atomosphere, the food and service. So happy we found them!!

Tasty, reliable and clean. These are priorities for me in a restaurant. I found them and more at 38 Degrees. Brian knows his business.

My wife and I enjoyed our time at 38 Degree Ale House and Grill. We sat in the dinning area and although we could hear the excitement from the bar area, the noise level did not interfere with the conversation my wife and I were having. The food was well prepared and the portions offered a good value, drinks were well mixed and the ombiance was pleasant. The only area of concern was the lighting, which made it difficult to read the menu but other then that, the lighting was perfect for us.

I have been such a fan of the Alhambra location - and I still am but I didn't realize how they had pared back the menu. Was at the newer one in Monrovia recently and their menu was smaller but thought it was just for that one. So many of the interesting and innovative things have gone missing. That said, our food was very good. Menu is now more like what you would expect for a sports bar with a few interesting items thrown in. It was always amazing to me that a place that looks like a sports bar could support what was on the old menu.

The ambience was great, wasn't expecting it to be intimate. The food was mediocre. I got the Philly via Argentina and it was quite salty. I also order the BBQ pork sliders and they were quite oily. The service was good.

Went here for lunch on Friday when it first opened. We were able to have a conversation
since the music was on low. Thank goodness! The waiter was attentive and came by often
to refill water and if we needed anything. I was surprised with the quality of food. We split a salad and the ratatouille sandwich. Both excellent.
I understand it gets louder at night. Did not have beer.

Our waiter saw us maybe 3-4 times throughout our 4 hour dining experience. The beers he recommended were not available. So we had to choose other beers which took about 25 mins to receive. Not sure why he took so long with the drinks.
After our dinner was served, we only saw the waiter toward the end of our meal to give us our bill. He didn't ask us if we wanted water or anything else. We had really terrible service at 38 Degrees Ale House in Alhambra, CA

The staff was super accommodating. We brought our own cake and two little brats and the staff was super helpful with everything. The food here is delicious and the beer selection has something for everyone.

Definitely one of the best places to have fun and celebrate.

Only been there twice. Both times I have been blown away by the food. It's a bit generic as a space (a bit of a Buffalo Wild Wings vibe), by the beer collection and the food are absolutely world class.

38 degrees ale house not only has a wide array of vibrant craft beer on tap and in bottles but the menu is something out of diners drive ins and dives yup its that good it is a bit pricier but like the golden rule says you get what you pay for not to mention a very kind very attentive staff.

38 Degrees Ale House & Grill is our neighborhood gem. Great draft beers & food. Clay always puts together great events inviting craft brewers and reps. You can try a flight hand picked by Clay or choose from a long list of draft craft beers. The burgers are great too. My favorites are the Menage 'O Pork or the Backyard Burger. The service is great too.
