333 Pacific - Steaks & Seafood Ratings and Reviews
From the minute I walked through the door every person I encountered was friendly & accommodating. I arrived early for my reservation & was told that they could seat me at the table & send the others in as they arrived. What a great booth they had waiting for us! All the way in the back corner, it was comfortable & somewhat private. The server Jason introduced himself and we spoke about cocktails. They have a HUGE assortment of vodkas and martinis. My co diners were late so I ordered a sushi roll to have while I waited. We eventually ordered the lobster and rib eye for two and I only say eventually because my friend was late. OMG, this meat was cooked to perfection and so amazingly tender and flavorful. the lobster tail was equally great.
This was our first time to the restaurant. It was our anniversary. Dinner was good. I ordered a Ceaser salad but the waitress recommended I get the squash salad.. It said it was spicy on the menu but she said it wasn't too spicy.. It ended up being extremely spicy for me where I couldn't eat it. She Offered to bring me a different salad. She was sorry about it. We had desert martinis ; the toasted macaroon and key lime pie.. Both delicious! Overall our experience was good.
Dining at 333 has fantastic ambiance however the food did not give us that "experience" we were looking for at that price level. My husband had the lamb and said it had no flavor. The sides that came with it were overpowered with spices. I found my dish very salty and average.
We experienced 333 Pacific for the first time on Friday, January 6th for the 20.12 specials offered. We decided we will not judge 333 on this one experience as the specials offered were not very impressive (each one chose a different entree). In addition, our waiter was less than enthusiastic while serving us. I don't often take the time to reply to these invitations for feed back but our party of 4 all felt the same way and left a bit disappointed, We promise to experience 333 at another time and expect our first impression to be trumped with a better experience.
Great location with an ocean view, much-improved service and food but still not up to other Cohen restaurants in San Diego such as Deborah Scott's C-Level or Indigo Grill. The best place in Oceanside if you want to impress your guests with the overall experience. Certainly the best up-scale bar scene.
Terrific dinner here. We both had the specials, and they were spot on perfect. Maybe a bit too much salt on one - otherwise fantastic. The wine list is very creative and priced competitively - loved that too. Went on half-priced bottle Wednesday - great choices on that list that didn't disappoint!
We were there for their price fixe 3 course meal and were very pleased with most everything. The severs attentive and pleasant, our reservations were honored promptly and the foods was good value for the price. The only drawback in the whole experience is the acoustics in the place are terrible. Especially with a very popular bar, the noise level is very high. I heard ever every word of the political rants of the people at the table next to us. All in all, though, it's worth repeat visits just to check out the weekly vodka flights which are always fun and tasty.
Had the $20.12 special prix fixe menu on 1/3/12. Salads and soups were great. The two Fisherman stews we had were close to tasteless, the salmonCooked past the point of recognition and one of the shell fish ingredients was missing.(unless the clams were out of theShell.). Our server told us she forgot to place our dessert orders aand comped our coffees. Service otherwise very good. Restaurant appeared slammed by the promo and the kitchen seemed a little behind..Will obviously come back, had too many wonderful experiences there.
Three of us dined Monday 1/3/12 taking advantage of the 2012 anniversary special. Price fixed three-course meal for $20.12. Seemed too good to pass up. We all enjoyed our meal that night (chicken roulade and meatloaf entrees). Very good value. Salad was very good and fresh. Chicken on the dry side, but not enough to send back to the kitchen. The dessert (apple tart) had a nice, flaky pastry crust. As usual, the bar area was very noisy but dining room wasnt too bad. Ambient music is a waste, though, since you can't hear it properly. Also, it's hard to pass in and out of the dining room through the bar staff and patrons. It's an obstacle course. This was our second time dining at 333 Pacific and we will defintely go back again.
We enjoyed the entire experience. Our table had a great view of the pier. Unfortunately the fog had just rolled in. The soup was a little too cold for me but tasty. The filet was perfect as was the lobster tails. The choices for dessert were limited. Too much chocolate for non chocolate lovers.
Wonderful experience on New Years Eve at 333. Excellent service and dinner. All choices they had for their special menu that night would have been a great choice. We had the filet for one and the crab cakes for the other. Appetizers outstanding, as were the desserts! Geat evening and we thought very reasonably priced!!
Food fantastic. Server exceptional. Serious problem we have never had here before. We have been to this restautant many times. We always make reservation very early. We always make reservtion right for 5pm as this is when dinner seating first begins. We always request patio, on window closest to ocean. We were only the 2nd party to be seated on patio. We were on time. Hostess tried to seat us in back side corner of patio at two chair table, which was insulting! Every table along the window facing the ocean was open but for 1. We refused and demanded table on window. We then watched as they tried to do same to couple celebrating their anniversary. They refused as well. Priority should be given to people there on time.
We had been trying to get to 333 Pacific for a few weeks and finally had the chance. What a lively place, with a great staff. Maggie was personable, attentive, and knowledgeable. The menu and dishes were well created and the resulting meal was delicious. We will return.
I have lived here a long time and am glad we finally have a place to take out-of town guests who enjoy fine dining. At 333 it is possible to enjoy quality food in a comfortable restaurant with a very impressive view. The menu offered an interesting variety, was well-prepared, and served nicely without hovering. All of this and an impressive view as well!
Our evening was perfect. My husband and I shared a bone-in ribeye steak which was cooked perfect and so tender. The wine list was extensive. All of the employees were very accomodating. The noise level was very loud because we were with another customer and could hardly hear one another speak. The service was a little slow, but we were in no hurry and if you are going out for an evening of fine dining you should not be on a time schedule anyway. Overall I would go here over and over. Excellent.
The beet salad had a flavor profile that dreams are made of. The beets were delicious but what really did me in were the fried capers and the vinaigrette. I could have eaten it as my main course! The steak was delicious and as always the mashed potatoes are the best I've ever had (and I've made and eaten a lot of mashed potatoes). Get the Grand Marnier Cheesecake and you won't be sorry! However, when I left all I could think about was that beet salad and if I could replicate it at home...
The food was good. The service was poor. We were seated promptly. Our waiter addressed us promptly. Our wine was served promptly and our salads arrived promptly. Then the wheels came off. We were seated at 6:00 PM, but our entre didn't arrive until 7:00 PM. So we sat and waited for our entre about thirty minutes after we finished our salads. The waiter never said a word about the wait. I had to stop the waiter and ask for more bread. The busboy came back and said they didn't have any. They were waiting for more to come out of the oven. Dessert was served without forks. When I asked for forks, the busboy came back with one fork and one spoon and explained they were out of clean forks. Wow!
