32 East Ratings and Reviews
Our water person was VERY attentive -kept our glasses full and remembered we only like the whole grain bread.
We had to wait several times before and during and after our meal for our waitress to appear. The first time, she apologized - it appears the glasses being dried were more important than the customers at her second table - not the 1st table to whom a chef was speaking.
The food is really good - we would opt for a different waitress.
Excellent dinner although it was difficult finding the front door. The wood fired oven bacon wrapped figs were disappointing...they were dry and didn't have any fig sweetness. Pork porterhouse with its side of baked beans were a hit. the accompanying slae was just too vinegary.
Just ok...........was excited about this restaurant.........didn't start well as we had an 830 reservation and did not get seated until 850.....had a couple of drinks at bar while waiting.....drinks are very expensive........after being seated service was really good.......started with apps......buffalo shrimp.......very good.......mushroom risotto........just ok.......the goat cheese took over the whole dish........could not taste mushrooms at all.....I had spaghetti and meatballs......just average.....meatballs very herby........my date had filet which was amazing.....had warm cookies as desert........very good.........all in all just ok but no enough to make me come back in light of all the restaurants in the area..........
We had a reservation but we had to wait at the bar for a bit, which we didn't mind at all. Our drinks were great and we were having a great time. However, when we sat down to eat, we couldn't help but notice the manager and servers were being kind and attentive to every other table except for ours. This is not to say our server didn't do his job, he was good! But in comparison to the tables near us, it was a different experience. It was our first time there, I couldn't imagine a reason why. We also couldn't help but notice the manager personally approached each table to introduce himself and ask how everything was, but failed to come to ours. My date also pointed out that the interior looks like a diner. The food was pretty good but there are so many other places on Atlantic, I wouldn't return.
I have been to many local "foodie" places and most of them fade away after a fer bites. But 32 East did not fade at all. Even though the entrees were a bit in th e pricey sude by local standards, in the $30-40 range, my wife and I sent back "clean" plates! We had the Yellowfin and the Skirt Steak, and totally loved ever morsel on each plate!
I took a friend there for dinner. It was her first time. I made the reservation on Open Table and mentioned my friend's bday and name. On the the of the menus for all 3 of us, it say Happy Birthday, Barbara. This immediately put a smile on her face. It was a very thoughtful and nice first impression.
We have been really disappointed with 32 East the past 4 times we dined there. We decided to give it one more try, and Saturday night was our last visit! First, we sat at the bar for a cocktail before dinner and did not get served or even approached for 10 minutes. I had to ask for a cocktail menu to get the bartender's attention. In the dining room- the service is poor, and the waiters look at you like you have 4 eyes if you want a dish modified. I will not be returning.
32 East is my favorite S Florida restaurant. Yes, it's noisy, and the ambiance isn't the best. But...when you take your first bite of food, all you know is that this restaurant is special. The presentation is beautiful, and the food is simply extraordinary. I think it's impossible to have a bad meal at 32 East. It's just that good! And I would be remiss not to mention the service, which is stellar. If you dine at 32 East, you will have a memorable experience.
The food was fantastic and we will be back.
However, we had a reservation for 5:30, it appeared the restaurant did not open until 6, as it was empty; but we had to wait for a table - and no bartender (we found him though)....please don't accept a res for 5:30 if you don't open til 6.
A lovely place right on Atlantic Avenue. The service, was almost great. It took quite a long time for them to take our order (close to 20 minutes), but once they did, service was impeccable. Good pacing of courses and a very helpful sommelier
The entrees were priced as expected for the area, but the side dishes were not a good value. We ordered the "all of the side dishes on one plate" for our table of 4. It cost $24 and was pretty skimpy for the price
We are long term followers of 32 East. Food is always outstanding, as is the wine list. Menu is changed daily and ingredients are fresh and unusual. Chef is exceptional. Matt, was our server this time, and he was excellent. Outgoing and engaging. I would highly recommend requesting him as your server.
Second time here and food was excellent. All four enjoyed our fish dinners (snapper and swordfish). However our waiter had an attitude and treated us like tourists (in that he probably thought he wouldn't see us again). But we live near Atlantic and go often for dinner. When I inquired about a menu item he seemed put out he had to answer and while not blatantly rude we felt as though he wasn't really interested in providing good service. I think the management needs to observe their waiters more closely and get rid of those not wanting to provide excellent service. This is a pricey place and there are way too many other restaurants to choose from that are happy to have us.
Wahoo was unusual and very good. Peach Soup was very tasty.
Service was not good.
The waiter seemed visibly disappointed when we said we would be sharing the main course even though we were also having drinks and dessert.
When I mentioned that the Mojito was not a traditional one because it had only specs of mint and no mint leaves, he argued with me.
He did finally agree to take it back but seemed begrudging about it.
Throughout the rest of our time there it seemed that he was ignoring us as much as possible.
This use to be one of my favorite restaurant on Atlantic Ave but this visit was just fair. Our waiter was ok but not attentive, I ordered the Grouper and tomato soup which I have had there before but for some reason it was not that tasty like it use to be, I guess it was an off night. I will definitely return though.
This is a popular spot. The menu is different and interesting. The best dishes the night we were there, were the seafood and fish entrees. Also had some pork, and great wines. Good size dining room, plus bar, right on Atlantic Avenue, filled with shops etc.
