    This time when I went, the food was not terribly good and the offerings were a strange mix that were not appetizing. The wine list is not as good as it should be. The first time I ate at this restaurant, it was outstanding in all ways and I have been dying to come back. I will not give up on them but do think that their offerings need work and less salt. The owners are talented restaurateurs and foodies so perhaps it was just an evening that did not appeal to my tastes.

    We always enjoy this restaurant! We love the seasonal change of menu. The food combinations, regardless of appetizer, entree, or dessert are unique and palate pleasing combinations. The menu has recently been updated to include sandwich options as well as the ability to order half portions for smaller appetites or to combine two different plates if you can't decide between them! The ambiance encourages good conversation (you can actually hear your table mates!), and is elegant but relaxing. They try hard to accommodate different diets when possible. Service is excellent.

    We had an absolutely exceptional dinner at 317 Montgomery Street! The ambience is lovely, with the brick walls and perfect accents and decor, linen tablecloths! The starters/appetizers were the perfect portion size and delicious, I had the scallops which I loved! My daughter had the house salad as her starter which she thoroughly enjoyed and we also ordered and shared half of a flat bread which was perfect! My daughter had the Pesto Gnocchi as her main and it was the best ever! Definitely agree with our server's description that they are like eating pillow-puffs with pesto! It was perfect! I had the fish special of the day which was Branzino- which was just amazing and prepared to perfection as well! Then we shared the delicious salted caramel Lava cake ! Spectacular finish to one of the best meals! Will definitely come back here again when we come to visit in Syracuse! What a special place and priced fairly for such a wonderful meal and experinece! Hope to see you again soon!

    Both appetizers and entrees were amazing. Service was great and we were served at a great pace. Price was under what you've expect for a restaurant of this high level. Highly recommend!

    Our first visit to 317 was a good one. This small restaurant had only a few patrons on a Tuesday night, making service excellent and noise low. The ambiance is very pleasant with a handsome bar - but no mixed drinks due to the proximity to two churches. Given all that, the food was very good. My filet was cooked just right, juicy and tender. The stuffed peppers for my vegetarian wife was one of several choices even in the limited menu. For dessert, the vanilla caramel lava cake was outstanding! We plan to make this a regular stop when going out for dinner.

    Found this wonderful restaurant tucked away just a few blocks from the Landmark Theater, a few weeks ago. We have been here twice since. It's everything I love. Beautiful, charming ambience. Great Service and Most importantly delicious food. Thank you to Donna and Roy for a Perfect start to a Great Evening !!!

    Very nice place for a date night. Had the house Cabernet which was not dry and easy to drink. Had the bibimbop and stuffed pork chops, both we delicious.

    Excellent service and very good food. They had scallops as an appetizer in the menu, but we requested if they could prepare them as an entree and cook them with butter and garlic. They gladly obliged and served is a delicious large portion. The Caesar salad was well made with hint of lemon. The chocolate cake topper s great meal. Highly recommend.

    Unfortunately had very poor service, took 20 min after being seated to have our drink order taken, food order taken shortly after, app and salad came out timely but then waited for over 30 minutes for our entrees and the server did not check in with us during that time period or apologize for the delay (there was a big party downstairs so we were initially understanding of the delay). Bao buns were very good, Caesar salad was fine, and our entrees were both adequate but for the price I do not think we will be back.

    This is a favorite of ours. We were there celebrating my wife's birthday with friends. The atmosphere is inviting, the food excellent and Donna's personality make this an irresistible choice. Highly recommended.

    The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were offering new mocktails and allowed us to try one for free. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned and well-priced for the portions. The space is intimate and fancy without being intimidating.

    What made our recent pre-theater dinner at 317 wonderful was the friendly service, nice ambiance with the restaurant's warm and historic interior, the soft jazz track playing that didn't overpower our conversation, our server's prompt response to a request, and the delicious food, including a vegan entrée option.

    tHERE WAS a parking space very close on the same street, less than fifty feed away, the staff was compassionate about their job. I remember seeing the same waitress when i wanted to go there in August, but they were closing for the day, so she gave me a menu to take home and she explained what was on the menu. She was very, very nice at that time and remains very nice. The lighting was just right. Not to dark and not to bright. The food was supurb. Then i found out that the menu changes with the season. That's smart. I am going to make reservations again now.

    We enjoyed our evening at 317 for dining week. The Bao Buns were delicious as well as the entrees. The wait staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We will be back!

    The menu is fairly limited. Only one vegetarian option—spaghetti squash with mushroom Bolognese—and it was mediocre at best. Luke warm when brought to the table. The flatbread with shrimp and sun dried tomatoes was decent, but the sun dried tomatoes were tough and should’ve been soaked in hot water for a couple of minutes.some of the meaty dishes looked The Caesar salad was very good, with a great homemade dressing.

    A hidden gem. Found it last minute here on Open Table and we’re pleased. Great locally owned spot where husband and wife are you hosts and make sure you have a great experience. Food was excellent and service top notch.

    Wife and I checked into the Syracuse Marriot and wanted a nice local option that was within walking distance. Checked the menu and 317 at Montgomery and it looked great. The owners are great people and hands on serving patrons. Food was fresh, delicious and well prepared. Highly recommend.

    Very small menu, out of a few things made the menu even smaller. asked for a medium well steak as I was okay with it being a little under done but it came out rare.. most likely will not consider this place again.

    My second visit to 317 Montgomery in a week. First was with three friends and the food was outstanding (butternut squash ravioli, a wonderful piri piri chicken dish, signature filet, and pork shank). We also enjoyed dessert. Joel, one of the owners, waited on us and the service was superb. Last night was simply me and a good book. I ordered a Caesar salad and a glass of Medoc. Donna waited on me and seeing my book, asked if I’d like her to hold putting in my special fish entree until I had finished the salad and some reading. Very thoughtful. The market fish was ahi tuna seared perfectly. I finished with cheesecake with a caramel drizzle. This place is definitely my new “go to” in downtown Syracuse. Great food, ambience and service.

    Dinner was excellent even on a very busy New Year's Eve. I had the short ribs risotto, my husband had the Ahi tuna special. Both were cooked perfectly and delicious. I love the ambiance and charm of this cozy restaurant.

    Let’s start with it’s a nice ambience and the service was great. However, the menu is very limited and there is no alcohol (only beer & wine). The spare rib risotto was amazing, but the Caesar salad was just so so. Lion Tamer Cabernet (best wine on the list) was awesome and everyone liked their dessert. 4 out of 5 stars and I would go again.
