A repeat customer, I enjoy bringing friends to savor a delicious meal in a relaxing atmosphere prior to the symphony or other special event at the Civic Center. The experience at 317, coupled with a delightful entertainment, makes for a special evening. Starters, especially the beet bruschetta and the baked camembert, are
unique and wonderful.
This restaurant has a NYC look, with an intimate atmosphere. I asked for a quiet area for our family occasion, which was held in the downstairs dinning room. Perfect for us as we were able to socialize, while enjoying the appetizers, wine, entrees of salmon, filet mignon and beef tips ... all cooked to perfection! Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu choices.
Great restaurant, 5 stars plus! Looking forward to returning for the outdoor dinning during the summer.
Highly recommend for date night, business, theater (2 blocks from OnCenter - War Memorial) and special occasions.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at 317 at Montgomery! We were a group of 7 and all of us were pleased with our selections. I highly recommend stopping in for dinner when in Syracuse. We will be back soon!
Outstanding meal and service! Definitely coming back! Highly recommend the bruschetta, short ribs, and carrot cake!
Great restaurant, waitress was outstanding. Been there a few times and enjoyed each time.
Food was excellent and superbly prepared. Had to wait 20 minutes after reservation time to be seated. After that, service was excellent and well timed. Seemed like there was a large party resulting in too few servers during busy in main area during busy time. Overall very good experience.
A few friends and I went for dining week. We walked in and there was probably one other table, we were sat in a cute table in the front. I chose the polenta for my first course and it was amazing. Second course I had the shrimp orzo, it was so bland and basically a pound of orzo. It was supposed to come with veggies like butternut squash, mushroom etc. although there were very few vegetables. For the final course I chose the chocolate cake which was delicious. Others that I went with chose meat dishes and were satisfied with their meals but I was so disappointed. I had been looking forward to trying 317 for a while.
Excellent food. Service was attentive. We will be back!
First time there and from the moment we walked in and were seated in our own little alcove, I knew it was going to be a great birthday celebration! Everyone we encountered was very friendly, the wine list was great, and the food was delicious!! The decor and ambience we're both very classy but extremely cozy! We all loved it and we will definitely be going back there soon.
The food was delicious. The service was great
Friends were visiting from the south. We were there within 5 minutes of reservation time. The room was crowded with earlier diners. We waited for our table, waited for a wine to be uncorked (not only A wine, the most expensive red wine). And once seated waited for one hour before appetizers (no bread offered) were served. Dinner came before our appetizers were eaten. Food was impeccable. Service was poor! More wait staff is definitely needed.
Amazing dinner and dining experience ! Will definitely return again. Made a reservation at 317 for dinner before a show that a friend and I were going to see at the OnCenter. Restaurant was extremely full and busy when we arrived but we were nonetheless greeted warmly and promptly sat at our table. Despite being super busy, our waitress was friendly and helpful and attentive to the needs of the table (water, drinks, etc). Food was brought out in a very reasonable time and was absolutely delicious. We both had filet mignon, which was a very good grade and cooked perfectly. Spot on perfectly. Add a side of mashed sweet potatoes which were also cooked perfectly and tasted amazing, and some roasted asparagus drizzled with garlic and you have a remarkable meal and dining experience. Remarkable food. Remarkable service. Compliments to the chef and staff.
We chose this restaurant because they are participating in Downtown Dining Week & they are close to the theatre. We had 5:30pm reservations & were seated promptly. The special menu had a nice variety of selections. Our entrees were delicious! One had the filet mignon & one had the pork tenderloin. I would recommend this restaurant.
Our meal was wonderful! It seemed as though each dish was an elevated version of itself. Simply delicious and completely enjoyable.
The meals were really very good for restaurant week. We had warm Brie with topping and bread and a Caesar salad for an appetizer. Next a filet mignon and my husband had salmon with sauce, which was a little bit dry. Both had sides of potatoes and green beans. We had a chocolate torte which also was delicious. We were seated downstairs, which was quiet and had a good decor but very cold. Turn up the heat. Server was attentive and very pleasant. This restaurant is always consistent and has consistently great food.
Tables very close together..
Thank you for participating in Dining Week! It was the incentive I needed to try your restaurant.
Our evening at 317 was OK. The food we did receive was mediocre and the place was so busy out appetizers were forgotten and we had to hunt our waiter down to get drunk refills. The menu evolved as the night went on due to the kitchen running out of ingredients and miscommunication between the front and back of the house. Disappointed. We were hoping for more.
317 proved to be an absolute gem. The food was some of the best we have ever tasted. The ambiance was amazing, quiet and romantic, rustic and authentic, cozy and warm. The service was wonderful, making us feel comfortably pampered and adequately cared for. Do not miss out on this place. Doing so is a regret your taste buds would prefer not to live with.
We went for the special syracuse dining deal. The food was excellent . The atmosphere was simple but lovely
Food was excellent, but desserts were minimal Service was excellent
We dined at this restaurant during Dining Weeks. We found it charming with a staff that really seemed to care if their diners were having a good experience. The food was very good. The baked brie appetizer was absolutely fantastic. We recommend!
We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. Excellent as always. Feels like dining at a friend's house. Atmosphere is the best. Staff is warm and friendly. Food is delicious and a great value. We cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant.
Very nice experience! Food was slow to come out, but it was Valentines Day. Without us asking or even complaining, they apologized for the slowness of the food and didn’t charge us for the appetizers. I thought that gesture more than made up for the slowness.
Food was very good, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. Would certainly go again and recommend to friends.
Our favorite date night restaurant in syracuse. Owners are amazing. Service is always great. And food is on point!
This place has phenomenal food and the service is great. It’s a little pricey but great for a date night. My wife and I can only go a few times a year. The menu changes every few months but we can always find something amazing.
Our entrees were perfect, and we enjoyed the attentive service. We also appreciated consideration of timing so we could get to the Symphoria concert.
This is a hidden gem in downtown Syracuse. The beef short rib for dinner was excellent. Wine by the glass is a little pricy but has a generous portion - and is very good. Soft jazz music for the background is great. Waitress was very nice and attentive. Atmosphere is wonderful. Would definitely return.
Restaurant is very convenient to the Oncenter. I had the duck for dinner - definitely in my top 3 duck dinners ever. Décor is terrific and wait staff was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend.
Excellent service food and ambiance
My boyfriend and I came here for a nice dinner to celebrate an anniversary and loved it. Romantic atmosphere, delicious food..
The food and service was fine . The only complaint I have is that when I went to book a reservation through open table, the available seating only started at 6:30pm. We arrived early to find the restaurant empty and plenty of seating available at 6pm.? So they were able to seat us early (which we preferred) as we were about to go somewhere else for an earlier reservation. Either 317 or Open table need to correct this.
Natalie was a fantastic server, she took great care of us.
It was truly wonderful. The food was amazing and our server was very attentive. The night we went, the lights were on and it was a little bright in the dining room. Other than that it was perfect.
Menu is different but well worth it. So good!
Our meal was excellent. The waitress very attentive and friendly. We will definitely go back.
Great food great service
We showed up last minute party of 16. They seated us right away, and were beyond accommodating. The service was personable and made our meal so much more enjoyable. The food was fantastic. The duck was perfectly cooked and even their coffee tasted amazing.
Do yourself a favor and get there! My husband and I have enjoyed dinner at the 317 on several occasions and have always been pleased with the service, ambiance, and exceptional cuisine. We recently visited prior to a show at the War Memorial and we could not have been happier. I had the mixed green salad and market fish (halibut), and my husband had the Caesar salad and filet mignon, all of which were delicious. The restaurant is walking distance to several venues in downtown Syracuse, including the War Memorial, Oncenter, Civic Center, and Landmark Theater. We will be back!
What a find! I was seeking a place for a nice date with my wife that i had not tried before in Syracuse. I found this on a search for this date. REally nice people, service and atmosphere. GREAT food! Hands down the best filet I have had in a VERY long time. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Well worth the prices.
