312 Chicago is centrally located the Loop Theater and Financial District. Every room offers iconic city views including City Hall, the Thompson Center, the Board of Trade and the Cadillac Palace Theater. The ambiance evokes the comfort and sophistication of a 1930’s supper club, but the style is pure, modern elegance with rich walnut wood and dramatic chandeliers.

Tastes is good and the pork is juice. Lot of peoples are celebrating Chicago marathon!
Great place to eat before the Chicago Marathon. They had a special marathon menu and got out the food quickly, which was good for me because I needed to carb load and go to bed early. Will eat here again if I am privileged enough to get an entry into the Chicago Marathon again.
The waiter didn’t listen and brought me a Caesar salad with chicken, rather than with shrimp as I had ordered. Then is took 10 minutes for the replacement salad to arrive. In the meantime, my guest’s pasta got cold
Wonderful meal with interesting menu. Bloody Mary's were very spicy! Salmon and dessert were excellent!
Great service and food just a little loud but I would definitely go back!
Excellent service & delicious Walleye Pike. A bit noisy.
Seems like it has lost its luster, I had not been in a while and was disappointed. The waiter was pleasant but he did not get my order correct and I was done with my main by the time he got around to correct it. Also it was pricey.
Restaurant was a bit loud at first but it is in the theater district and everyone pretty much comes and goes at the same time. We were there when everyone left and the restaurant noise level was definitely lower. My husband had the steak and I had the lasagna. Both were outstanding. Our server was wonderful, being attentive without being overly intrusive. The wines, which we always order by the bottle, were pricey but excellent. Would definitely go back on another trip to Chicago.
We ate before seeing a show. They took great care of us! First great thing- they asked if we were seeing a show to make sure they got us out the door in time. The food was all delicious! 2 of our party had a gnocchi and lamb dish that they loved. The lamb was tender and delicious. Another had gluten free pasta with sausage and mushrooms that was great. The fourth had a risotto special with crab. Clean plates all around. Service was excellent. I would definitely recommend !
We dined in 312 for the first time last week and would recommend as a very good Italian restaurant. It was quiet when we were there but the restaurant is comfortable, the food and service good.
They do a very good value set menu which we chose and it was excellent.
I would recommend if you are in Chicago.
Very good food, promptly served by attentive staff!
I've held several business lunches at 312 but will not be going back, at least during the day. The noise level on the first floor is simply too loud and distracting. We had a party of four and literally had to shout to hear each other.
Food was very well prepared and had enough diversity to please most people; service quick and efficient for the business crowd it seems to cater to, and the clubby type atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. I would not consider it a date night place but is ideal if dining alone or with your work colleagues. My husband and I were traveling through Chicago and it was a perfect Monday night spot for us; definitely worth a return visit!
Nice place a little $ but nothing exorbitant compared to rest of Chicago. Would go back again.
Always a pleasure! ….great food, service and ambiance....It was great to see Marko ( I hope I'm remembering that right) again and lovely to chat with Zhanna….Thanks for accommodating us so late.
Looking for a reasonably priced meal as a visitor in Chicago. Had the 3 course menu including the wine pairing and it was very good. Overall very good value.
Had a couple of the appetizers, can't remember their names but one had big scallops, sausage and pasta in the other, both very good. Also we recommend the vegetarian lasagna and the halibut. Those two entrees were excellent.
We've eaten here a few times and the staff is always attentive and friendly. A nice touch, Jose the sous chef came by and introduced himself and asked about the food.
Wonderful anniversary dinner before our night at the opera. The waiter knew we had a curtain call so he was extremely attentive and fast! Can’t wait to come back to savor the amazing food and ambience.
My only complaint would be the seating - we were in a booth in the middle of the place and it was so tight. We couldn’t move it either.
My Caesar Salad with grilled salmon and my guests’ walleye specials were delicious.
Great business lunch spot. Great food and service is always wonderful.
Excellent food. Great service. A little louder than I prefer.
Perfect location for business lunch - especially treating clients - they all love it!!
Nice place to celebrate a birthday, good for large parties. Food was delicious, great choice of drinks. Would recommend!
Food and service were excellent
Great place and convenient location for business meetings and entertainment.
Too many gnats in dining room.
Service was very slow and plates were not cleared before main dish. Good food but service inattentive
We sat outside which was really pleasant. The ricotta appetizer was delicious. The bread basket was very fresh. I loved the bucatini! Will definitely go back. A nice place to eat before a show.
We've here many times pre-theater. Always excellent. Staff is always nice and attentive. AND the bartenders know how to make really nice classic cocktails.
My waiter was fantastic! I ordered a salad with chicken with a side of spinach. Exactly what I waned! It was del.
The tagliatelle Bolognese was outstanding. Servizio e cibo sono multo eccellente!
A lovely brunch, food and service were outstanding
We came directly to 312 Chicago after attending the play "The bands visit". Even though we were early, they seated us immediately. It was our 27th wedding anniversary and we were seated at table 27. Not that it was planned that way, but it was a nice way to start off the dinner. Food was great, limited menu, but we didn't need many more choices. If I went there often, I might want more options. For a special occassion, it was perfect.
Dinner after play. One of the most delicious salmon dinners I have ever had. Great service.
Good. Server was okay
Pre theater. Restaurant had event upstairs. Food was very slow as kitchen was backed up servicing the event. 1 hour between courses. No time to eat the entree
Unfortunately, my dining companion and I started our experience by being seated in the worst possible table in the restaurant—right next to a post, in direct line of all the waitstaff coming in and out of the kitchen. It was very cramped, to say the least. We ordered a couple dishes, both of which we split. The plates were put down in the middle of the table for us to divide ourselves, which would have been fine, but there really wasn’t space on the table for the bread plates, meal plate, and larger sharing plates, plus two glasses on wine. The food was fine, but nothing special. Service was generally lackluster, with empty plates sitting on the aforementioned very crowded table much longer than they should have. All in all, it was not the best dining experience. I will be choosing other restaurants in the Loop going forward.
Great restaurant! We went before a play next door and the server was right on time, the salmon was great, and my friend liked the halibut.
Would definitely recommend.
