312 Chicago is centrally located the Loop Theater and Financial District. Every room offers iconic city views including City Hall, the Thompson Center, the Board of Trade and the Cadillac Palace Theater. The ambiance evokes the comfort and sophistication of a 1930’s supper club, but the style is pure, modern elegance with rich walnut wood and dramatic chandeliers.

The food tasted great! Great options on the menu. I recommend Filetto or Branzino
Excellent food choices and very well done. I recommend it highly, especially if you are going to the theater.
312 was dinner choice following matinee at Cadillac Theatre next door. Subdued dining atmosphere with flavorful appetizers and entrees. Our group sampled the pork chop and the halibut, both incredible. Flourless chocolate tortes for dessert, quite decadent. Consider 312 for your pre- or post-show dining, you’ll love it!
The food was excellent with a brunch menu that featured sweet and savory items / The waiter was excellent and gave us good suggestions and fabulous service
Highly recommend this restaurant. Food was superb, outstanding service. Noise level was moderate. Fabulous lasagna, best I have ever eaten.
The waitstaff could not do enough for us. Example: they served us coffee at the end of the meal and decided on their own it was too light and brought us new coffee. Great wait staff!
Overall excellent food and service. Perfect venue to entertain an important customer for a business lunch.
The service and ambience were excellent. We enjoyed the food although it could have been better with more spices. The main disadvantage of this restaurant is that the restroom is on the second floor. The wine list was excellent and would draw me back.
I have been to 312 many times for lunch, and it never disappoints! I have sat at different tables, and had different waiters, and they are all outstanding.
Amazing bread with seasoned olive oil appears immediately, as does water, and it keeps coming. The manager walked around the room checking each table, and it looked as if everything was perfect.
I usually split a bottle of wine with a friend, but this time I had a margarita...well, 2 margaritas because it was so good! Refreshing, and not too sweet.
The specials are always a good choice, but so are the regular items, such as the cauliflower mix appetizer.
The food is amazing, the service is great, the ambience is perfect, and it's close to the theatre district. What more could anyone want from a restaurant?
Perfect for before theater lunch! Food was delicious service good would definitely return
Place is starting to show wear and tear, it’s time for some sprucing up! But food and service were fantastic as ever! Thank you for a relaxing and delicious dining experience.
Great location for dinner before the show at Goodman or the theaters on Randolph. Slight discount for valet parking. The food was excellent. The fresh pasta was just right. Not a heavy dish. Shared buffalo mozzarella and heirloom tomato with pesto for appetizer. Give it a try.
Sat at a table outside and it was great. Food was good and reasonably priced for downtown area.
Great place for pre-theater. Valet parking for $29.00 for six hours at Hotel Allegro when you dine at 312, an added plus to a nice restaurant. It was our servers first week, but he was very attentive and doing his best to master his job. Great attitude.
Excellent food. Pleasant atmosphere.
Great food - waiter was very familiar with the the food specials. We will be back.
I went with a group to 312 Chicago for dinner. It was a wonderful meal. We informed our waiter that we had to catch a train and had to be out by a specific time. He was very accomodating and kept the dinner moving to meet our time frame. Of course, you may have a leisurely meal at 312 but on this occasion we needed an accelerated pace. The food was delicious as always. If you go, save room for a slice of their homemade flourless chocolate cake!
I ordered the 312 Burger well done with a side salad with lemon vinaigrette. The burger was rare. There were rotting pieces of salad in the mix and no dressing. The waiter took it back to the kitchen where I assumed they nuked it and brought dressing for the salad. The burger was still not well done. Our waiter was very attentive but the cooking staff needs some direction. I have dined here at least 6 times when I visit Chicago. Not sure I can recommend this place at this time.
Wonderful food...Salmon fabulous; scallops perfectly prepared. Thank you!
Great place for dinner before the show as it is right in the theatre district.
My family loves 312 Chicago. They have amazing Gluten free options. We took the kids and they loved it too.
One of my favorite pre-theater spots. Great drinks, even better service (Janna is a fantastic server who I ask for every time since we met), and unfailingly delicious food. One of the best restaurants in the loop! Thanks for asking.....
We barely sat down and our server wanted our drink order. She seemed aggravated we weren't prepared to give it, despite having just received the menu. She stood table side and waited after being told we wanted to get an idea of the entree direction before choosing a beverage. She must have used up all her customer-care time then because after taking our order she was MIA, although she passed by several times without so much as a glance. We resorted to asking the bus staff for butter, soft drink refills and getting the server so we could order dessert. The Pappardelle Bolognese was uninspired, bland, could have come from a can, and showed a scarcity of meat in the sauce. 312 is steps away from the theater, but does that override the overall experience? We didn't think do.
Had dinner with my son before the theater, which is right next door! First time here, loved the decor, our meal was fantastic and the service was great! I had the tortellini and my son had the pork chop, again, both excellent!
Server was rude and disrespectful. The other staff was great!
The Carpaccio di Manzo (beef tenderloin tartare) and the Ippoglosso (halibut) dishes were delightfully palate pleasing! Strongly recommend having dinner at 312.....you’ll be so glad you did! We’ll definitely return!
Everything was fabulous...the food, ambiance, service. Could not ask for a better place to eat after a show.
A special trip to Chicago. My beautiful wife loves Itilian so we choose 312 over Spagias
This was the second time we were here before the Theater. We went to a 2:00 pm Matinee show and wanted lunch when we got into the city. They were quick, with amazing service and great food. We will be back when we are in the neighborhood. THANKS
The waiter was great!!!! Food was amazing
The staff were very attentive and friendly, and the flourless chocolate cake is delicious!
The gnocchi were just okay, but I have a hard time finding ones I really love. Everything else was fantastic, though.
The Sea Bass was awesome and my date loved the Lasagna. we will be back next time in Chicago
Wait staff was excellent as was manager
We will be back
This was a great neighborhood find. We attended the theater and stopped in for dinner.
Food was excellent. We are Italian and have high expectations on quality, texture and flavor. They scored a ten on all of it! The service was excellent and the Manager, Joe, was walking throughout the restaurant talking with patrons assuring a good experience.
This is a must when you are in the Theater district . Fabulous food!
We had a delicious meal! Service was excellent - waitress extremely helpful in selecting entrees. Joey was a fabulous host making sure all our needs were taken care of. We will definitely be back soon.
It was delicious.
We had dinner at 312 Chicago before the theatre and the food was terrific. I have eaten there before and never have been disappointed. The staff was wonderful about catering to our needs.
Food was fantastic. The atmosphere felt very formal and kind of cold, which is why it would be good for a business dinner. Prosciutto wrapped mozzarella and the carpaccio is what we had for apps and both were delicious! We then moved straight to the pasta: Orecchiette with Italian sausage and the squid ink fettuccine. Pasta was homemade and everything was executed perfectly. There was nothing wrong with the service but nothing magical either. I would certainly go back for the food!
