Furnishings are worn. Food was good but not great. Medium well filet was redder than medium. Other restaurants get it right.
Staff was great we were going to a play next door at the Cadillac theater and we were in a hurry. They accommodated us with great service and great food. And we didn’t feel rushed. We will be back next time we go to the Cadillac thanks
This was a pre-show dinner. We were taken on time of our reservation, seated in a nice not too loud area, had great service, good food and were out in time for our play. Our friends had not been there and were quite impressed with all.
Excellent customer service from the entire staff. Great food too.
Hostess was a female pooch. The waitress continuously forgot about me. Food was amazing.
Service was fast and the waitress and support staff were outstanding. Food was tasty and prepared as requested. The room was a bit noisy especially after a large party was seated in the adjoining room, but not so noisy that my wife and I could not carry on a conversation. It is definitely not a cheap place to eat and the Chicago sales tax (12%) did not help them. All said, it was nice dining experience.
312 is THE perfect spot for a pre-Broadway in Chicago show especially a show at the Cadillac Theater next door. Traffic from the suburbs was awful the last night we were there (Valentines Day) but calling to let them know we were running late, not only holding our table on a big night, they really took care of us as we came in with less than the full 90 minutes prior to show time we had planned. Valet parking at the Kimpton Hotel next door, they took our car quickly and had it ready at the curb following the show. Great friendly service and the food and drinks were outstanding. A regular spot for a business lunch for me, this was my first time for dinner. We will be back.
Great atmosphere and good pre show dinner. I was a little disappointed in the food I ordered. I wasn't feeling the lasagna it had no taste to me and the $15 special desert platter for Valentine's Day was very weak in my opinion.
Admittedly, it was Valentine’s Day, but service was only adequate. The room was only 2/3 full but still not great service. Food was adequate to fine. Good Brussels sprouts and octopus apps. Scallops prepared nicely but the vanilla sauce was way too sweet. Not to mention, 8 made it clear i didn’t want any dairy. Tasted like melted ice cream. Clearly made with dairy. Terrible special dessert. Waiter obviously knew nothing about it but still pushed it on us. We sent it back. Awful flavors and weird textures. Fine for pre theatre but there are many better options.
Nice atmosphere, great service and great food.
Was a fun and tasty restaurant to celebrate birthdays
My boyfriend and I celebrated Valentine’s Day early because he had to work on it and everything was perfect. Our server was amazing and super attentive.
Great service and tasty brunch, but wine is pricey.
This is one of our favorite spots, and we are now on their list for our favorite table when we make our reservation. Traffic from home is always iffy, but this time we were just under a half hour early, but the table was ready and the smiles were genuine. We lingered over our wine and studied the menu (including the three course prix fixe di cena menu). I chose the specials, a wonderful red pepper soup and a shrimp and scallop dish over lentils and mushrooms, both of which were excellent. My wife had a beautiful and perfectly cooked piece of salmon which she praised. The choices were well-described and well presented.
