312 Chicago Ratings and Reviews
312 Chicago was excellent! We took our kids who are 9 and 6, and although the kids menu is $15 per child, it was worth it. It includes a drink and dessert (and large portions). And we found the regular menu to be reasonably priced for a nice Italian restaurant. Our waitress was lovely and attentive. Overall, we loved it!
Time for breakfast we ate the following items :
1. salmon which was smoked or a bagel with cream cheese
2. vegetarian omelette with feta cheese and spinach.
I also had an English muffin on the side
We had tea with honey. It was green tea or maybe it was a minty tea.
The restaurant itself seemed warm and cozy. The food was tasty but not extremely big in size but just enough for a normal appetite! The options were many. The staff was warm and friendly! Wine was a bit more on the expensive end. Overall, it was a very nice and well rounded experience. Nice place to celebrate a special day or just enjoy a great night out!
In town for a conference. Needed large table and wanted Italian food. Easy to reserve with OT. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Good crowd of people but easy to hear conversations at the table up to 3 or 4 people away. Food got rave reviews from all! Warm, cozy, elegant "Library". A home run for all!
We had reservations for after our show next door at the Cadillac Palace Theatre. It was super close and convenient. We had reservations for 5:45 and the manager was able to seat us 30 minutes early. It was a wonderful experience and the risotto was divine. And don’t forget to get a glass of Chianti with dinner.
My friend and I went here on Sunday before seeing Les Mis. The food was EXCELLANT and Roberto our waiter was very awesome. Everyone was very nice . 312 has a deal with the Allegro hotel for valet parking which we did. That was wonderful. When we got out of the theater our car was waiting for us . WOW. Next time I see a play at the Cadillac theater, I will definately dine at 312.
We had brunch here before a matinee at the Cadillac Palace Theater. All four of us enjoyed our meals. I had the short rib hash which was absolutely delicious! I want to go back for dinner sometime and try one of their pasta dishes, although a few pasta dishes are also on the brunch menu too.
We had a lovely dinner here. Partook in one of every course and really enjoyed them all ( the Cacciucco, which was a seafood stew secondo, was spectacular!). Didn't do dessert, but that's not what we go to restaurants for in the first place.
Definitely great for the theater crowd (we had a show at 8 and discovered that by 7:30 pm the entire floor had cleared out). Also feels very much like a hotel restaurant in terms of atmosphere, which is a shame from the standpoint that the food is much better than the atmosphere initially implies.
All in all a great experience! Don't know if we'all rush back, but it will go into our pre-theater dinner option list!
We arrived early for our reservation but were seated immediately. Our waiter was very attentive when I know he had many tables to take care of. The food was excellent. I had the butternut squash tortellini and my friends at the white fish which was one of the specials for the night. Tasted it and it was also excellent. Great place for excellent food before or after a show. Would definitely visit again
I ordered the buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer. The mozzarella was definitely not buffala and the prosciutto was domestic, not imported and not sliced thin enough. So over priced, for not the real deal. The waiter was friendly and service prompt. No issues w him. I took his advice on the special of black squid risotto w calamari and what a major fail and disappointment. This was not risotto at all. Rice w liquid and no flavor. Calamari rings not edible. The only thing I enjoyed was the fresh bread and olive oil. This is an expensive place and I left annoyed and hungry.
So my wife and I were celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary and I decided (after much research) to try this new (for us) place. It was terrific! I noted on the Open Table reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, my wife is vegan, I’m vegetarian, and that we needed to be finished by 7:00. Reservation was for 5:30. The ladies at the hostess stand were very polite, the young man showing us to our table wound his way through the dining room to a quiet booth with a small “Happy Anniversary” sign on the table. I was happy so far. Frankie, our server, was great. I mean over the top terrific. After greeting us with Happy Anniversary and nice small talk, he discussed (without prompting) our custom vegan and vegetarian options which were delicious. Great evening and will definitely visit again. Note: When I was away to wash up before the meal, my wife conspired with Frankie to hide a well protected very small gift in the sorbet I ordered for desert. I’m very difficult to surprise, yet I was blown away by the reveal which I discovered after two spoons into the perfectly scooped sorbet. It was really creative and well done. After the meal, I surprised her with front row center mez Hamilton tickets. Terrific evening overall! One for the books :)
