Great overall some food seemed heavy on olive oil to tune our plates were covered in oil. Not a bad thing just too generous

Great all the way! Server was fun and involved even though the resturant was extremely busy. Food was really good! A real mixed fry! Salmon was beautiful. Will come back and recommend to others.

Food and service were great, but it was just too loud to be able to converse at a table for four.

Was happy for location-close to theatre. Was unhappy with table-which was by staircase. Felt crowded. Too close to all the guests
that had to use bathroom
Wouldn’t sit there again.
May return, service & food good!

Great restaurant locale for dinner before the theatre (next door, Cadillac Palace). It's a bustling place, especially before show time, so make a reservation. Waitstaff was great and knowledgeable about the menu. My companion and I ordered an appetizer, which was great; their soup of the day, lobster bisque; and main entrees. The soup was so salty we couldn't finish it. The waiter reported our complaint to the manager who said he would take it off the bill. The main entrees were fantastic (although they could have been hotter). When the check came, the manager only took 1 of the soups off the bill. Why, I don't know...???

The restaurant is right next door to the Cadillac Theater, making it a convenient pre-theater or after-matinee choice. It is also quite near the Christkindlmarket. Service was quick and friendly, and it was a cozy spot on a winter day, especially watching downtown workers hurrying home through the snow flurries. However, the booths are rather upright and uncomfortable. We found the food and wine choices to be a bit pricey for what we got. I had the tortelloni filled with butternut squash and amaretto, and was disappointed that it was served in an oil rather than with a cream sauce. Perhaps this was the "brown butter sage" listed as an ingredient, but it made the dish oily rather than smooth. My friend had the Strangolapreti; he said the lamb was quite good and the gnocchi just "meh." We also shared the antipasto, which was a bit meager for $15. Wine, at $15/glass, also seemed pricey. I guess this is to be expected downtown, and it's a great location, but no raves from me.

I chose this location because it was convenient to the theater but we were pleasantly surprised at how great it was. My friends were so impressed with this choice, they thought I'd been there before. We agreed we will definitely go back. Service was great and two of the four entrees were rated as best ever! The other two were specials and they were very good just not the best we'd ever had. The roasted Brussels sprout appetizer was delicious and a must have. The cocktail list was impressive too and we tried a few different ones and they also were great! Overall you can't go wrong eating at this restaurant, try it.

Wonderful service, and good food. Tiramisu was divine! Perfect for a relaxing lunch before matinee at Cadillac theater. Was disappointed that when reservation was made on Open Table, it was booked for a birthday, there was no mention or special offering.

Food was good. Everyone seemed pleased with selections. A bit pricey for apps and salads for the portion. Only saw our server 3 times!! Once at ordering, then we didn't see her again until we were more than half way through our entrees. She never delivered food or refill drinks. Her check back on whether things were prepared well was not timely at all had their been issues. Then our last sighting of her was whiten she presented the bill. We certainly hope the support staff & bussers are well compensated as they were seen far more than our actual server. That was disappointing. Atmosphere was nice and reservation was timely once we arrived.

Our family of 4 has eaten here a couple of times before the theater. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed the wine pairings as well. It is right in the heart of the theater district so very close to multiple theaters. Would definitely recommend it.

I food was mediocre. The décor needs an update. Very disappointing. I expected more based on the reviews and star ratings checked prior to reservation. It was a last minute choice on a Friday evening so, based on my experience, I know why we had no problem getting confirmed.

Went here for wife's birthday before seeing "Beautiful" at the Cadillac Palace Theater. The location is literally steps away from the Theater. The food was very good. We both chose the 3 course price fix menu. My wife loved the beet salad, the salmon and the pumpkin cheesecake. I had salad, gnocchi and gelato. Price was $42/ pp. We added the wine pairing for $22 / pp. Highly recommend if you are heading to the Theater. Definitely an Italian restaurant.

We have eaten here before, and it's always a good choice before a theater date. The staff is very attentive (but not overly so), and the food was excellent. They split our shared salads without our asking, and they were very good about offering coffee refills. A wonderful spot-- we will return!

We ate here before seeing Beautiful at the Cadillac Palace Theater. Perfect location for a cold night - around the corner! Food was good and I would go back to try other things that caught my eye on the menu. The server tried to rush us. I get that he wanted to turn the table, but he knew we were leaving before the show. Food came out within minutes of ordering. We had no desire to stand in the theater lobby rather than sit and enjoy our meal. The only real complaint is that it is really noisy. Very hard to have a conversation.

We were disappointed in the quality of the food based on the pricing. The quality was not worth the price. My peach dessert was mostly a thick pastry puff with little filling.
The waiter was nice, and the busboys were attentive with water. It was a bit too loud to be able to talk to each other at our table.

312 is an an excellent choice for pre or post theater dining. We have established a Christmas tradition of an afternoon performance of A Christmas Carol at the Goodman theater followed by a review of the Macy's Christmas windows and then dinner at 312. The food, service, and ambience are all first rate and we recommend this restaurant without reservations.

This is a sophisticated city restaurant and the 3rd time we have dined there. I was a little dismayed that we were early for our reservation and there was available seating on the main floor, but we had to be seated upstairs. This would have been fine except, while all booths seemed to be available, we were seated in one next to a wall, rather than one with a city view. Did we not look worthy? Anyway, I felt insulted.
