312 Chicago is centrally located the Loop Theater and Financial District. Every room offers iconic city views including City Hall, the Thompson Center, the Board of Trade and the Cadillac Palace Theater. The ambiance evokes the comfort and sophistication of a 1930’s supper club, but the style is pure, modern elegance with rich walnut wood and dramatic chandeliers.

We ordered the 3 course special. We told our waiter we had a 730 Goodman show. He said no problem we had plenty of time.well we didn't. We had to take dessert to go and run to the theater
The special ( fish and chips) was innovative and very well prepared with great flavors. The service was flawless.
Excellent food, service & quiet easy to hear!
We needed a quick meal before a 7:30 theater performance and we were out in plenty of time. We have been there before and the food is always delicious. The service was excellent.
I've been a regular, often as someone's guest (on my recommendation), and hosting too. The visit this week was most disappointing. The field greens salad was topped with lovely greens, underneath was not only wilted & slimy leaves. First time for me, so I'm now leery.
We love going here the food is delicious service is excellent and the ambiance is perfect. All our meals are always so good and they always leave us wanting more or to try a new dish next time.
PRE-theatre visit before Hamilton. Food was good but a few service hiccups.
Pre oriental theatre experience. It was perfect
The Road Lawyer eats there. Highly recommended.
Staff is great. The salmon is very tasty.
Elegant surroundings and delicious food with excellent service. A little pricey for me.
Overall I enjoyed the restaurant and its menu. Unfortunately for me however our waitress did not take down my order correctly. After ordering a Caeser Salad with Chicken, I ended up with a side Caeser plus the Chicken entrée which doubled my portion of the bill.
Our first time at 312! We had the prix fixe lunch before catching a matinee at the Oriental Theatre down the street. A special shout-out to the butternut squash tortellini - yum! We chose the Buffala, Barbabietole, Tortelloni, Pappardelle Bolognese, Torta di Cioccolato, and Tiramisu. The food was absolutely delicious and the servers were attentive. We had a comfortable booth by the window, facing LaSalle St. We highly recommend this restaurant.
The bread and dipping sauce was unexpected and welcome. I started with the burrata and it was smokey and very good with a balsamic reduction and artichoke heart. I then had the lobster bisque. It was good but needed something, maybe a piece of lobster on top or some herbs. I then had the squid ink risotto and it was very good but way to large a portion. Service was beyond great. I will be back.
From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was perfect. Temperatures were perfect, the food was amazing, the textures were lovely, really had a great server - we always eat here when we go downtown for a show. Consistently high quality.
great pre-theater dinner spot - upscale place but great with kids too
Delicious food, great service, an exceptional hostess.
The service was beyond anything I've ever experienced. Luis was the most amazing person there! We will be back for sure!
We had a fun time, with lots of delicious food and fantastic service!!
Everyone was friendly and helpful!
Service is so-so, as they almost made us miss the curtain at a show next door even though we allowed 90 minutes for the meal.
Nothing special here, but very convenient for a pre-theatre dinner. We found that the seafood was overcooked in the Linguine Nere dish, and the pasta dishes in general were just basically ok. Not bad, just ok.
Our server was friendly enough, but very rushed. He would throw the flatware on the table and run off. The carrot cake was a disappointment - more like a quick bread than a carrot cake. The meals were relatively expensive for the quality.
Our table was on the 2nd floor right near the door out to the elevator. The push handle on the door was falling off and waiters had to keep putting it back on.
Food was fairly good. nothing to write home about. what stood out very quickly was the sort of dated/old/ratty décor and furniture. Nice staff, great location if going to a show at adjacent theatres. otherwise, I would skip it.
Absolutely delicious! Loved the creative beverages too
Perfect spot for NYE dinner. Food was delicious, and ambiance was perfect. Definitely would recommend to friends and family!
Nice place for the new year's eve - menu was a kind of - ready-to-go and was afraid - but it turns out very good with the choices I had for starter(4) 2 main courses (4 choices each) and desert (4 as well)
Had a great experience!
I had always wanted to try this place, but doubt if I will return. The food was good, but each course came on the heels of the last. It felt like they could not get rid of us fast enough. I intentionally scheduled this dinner for after the theater, so we would not have to rush. Did not like the server's attitude when two out of 3 of the people at our table did not recognize what they had ordered. They were not complaining or asking for something else - just questioning. The server became very defensive. For the money, I'll go somewhere with better service.
Such a good and food place!!!! We do really enjoy it...wine was so good and the food really tasty
We were seated quickly even though we came on the wrong night. Extremely friendly staff. Dinner was incredibly good. I will go back whenever I can.
The food was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. The service was fine, just nothing special. Server could have been a little more attentive. Never asked if we needed anything else. Had to ask for drink refills.
The food was good. We had steak and eggs and the steak was perfect, tender and tasty. The eggs, poached, were perfectly done and the Parmesan potatoes were good. One in our group needed some help since she was using a walker and the hostess helped her to the elevator so she could make her way to the theater while I went back to the garage. 312 is a great place before the theater and we’ve enjoyed it every time we’ve dined there.
Service was wonderful but food was nothing special for the price. Overpriced for the loop like everywhere else in the neighborhood though. It was quite noisy close to the kitchen I think very nice ambiance if we were at a quieter table. Manager very accomodating
Authentic Italian foods!
Great service and loves the dessert and seafoods!
Went to a play , had a bite to eat before.
I did not expect much when I got there but I have to admit everything was excellent food service everything!
Nice place for dinner before the theater
Delicious lobster bisque! The tuna was cooked perfectly and the dressing on the arugula was amazing.
It was great! We loved our entire experience and we will definitely be back!
Had a table for a party of 8. I could talk to the person at the other end without issue.
Great food and service.
Always wanted to try and would definitely go back.
Service as always was excellent, our server was amazing, knew out needs and everything recommended was amazing and came quickly. We were going the theater and had no worries about timing. Staff was very helpful with guests with special mobility needs and took care to get us to accessible elevators and restrooms so everyone was comfortable.
Our normal “go to breakfast spot” in downtown Chicago
Eggs today: feast and dry. Potatoes almost inedible. Today was sadly a “miss” among many “hits”
