310 Nona Ratings and Reviews
We went for their Sunday Brunch, the french toast was delicious, 2 of us had that and the other 2 had eggs benedict and they enjoyed their meal as well. I had been there one other time on Saturday during brunch and had the frittata and that was also good and have had lunch there one other time and sat out on the patio. Would go again.
This was our first time at 310 Nona, though we have been to 310 Park numerous times. The food and service were excellent. Outside dining is available and looked very desirable. We ate inside because of the summer heat, and it was crowded and a little loud. All in all it was a pleasant experience.
wasn't sure at first when we walked in but were pleasantly surprised by the menu, service and food...think the lighting threw us off as it could have been a bit darker for the evening and given a bit more ambiance to the place but the salmon was excellent...no complaints...looking forward to going back again...great specials on menu as well!...i don't like that you have 4 or 5 stars to choose but i give this a solid 4 +++!
The location is great and it all seems to center around the bar or maybe the out door dining. I can see coming and having a drink but not for a good meal. The food was bland and our waitress was miserable. No smiles, no banter and no reading of the specials.
The 310 franchise doesn't travel well in my opinion. Winter park is great and the other two are far cry from its big sister. A good chef and good bar tender would make all the difference.
We started with the Salmon Bites. They were delicious, and came with a sauce that was spicy, but not overpowering. I had the Roast Duck. It was a nice portion of two legs and thighs. The skin was crispy. My friend had the roast pork.
Hector, our server, was warm and professional. I want to return, soon.
The service was extremely slow. The table that was seated ahead of us finally asked to take their food with them because it took so long. Part of the burger one of us had was raw. The grouper special was disappointing. The seafood appetizer which the waiter pushed on us turned out to be $38 -- more expensive than the filet mignon special entree or the grouper special entree. We sat outside because we were told there were no bugs but as soon as the sun went down, the bugs were biting and annoying. The only reason we chose this out of the way spot was because on open table it was suppose to be close to the airport and good. It was neither.
Food was plentiful, one of the fish sandwiches were good, the other fish sandwich we tried was wet and dripping. Overall a good value for the money. The service was a little strange, the second waiter thought we had another dish twice, finally we looked at the dish and it was correct. Might go back but probably not.
I went with a friend I had seen in about a year to catch up. It wasn't busy at all. We had a great brunch, the food was delicious, our server was efficient and pleasant, and we didn't feel rushed at all. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll be going back!
While the food was very tasty, it was not remarkable. Several aspects of the restaurant seem run down/tattered (stained & torn menus, lint-covered linens). The service was very good; our server was attentive and knowledgeable; she handled everything from drinks, to orders, to the check efficiently and with warmth.
The smoked salmon appetizer came as a solid piece of salmon sitting on very hard, unsavory crackers. It was not "easy" to eat, but the flavors were good. The deep fried portobello sandwich was delicious, although the bread was much too thick and obliterated the wonderful flavor inside the sandwich. The fries were....odd; they seemed to be mashed potatoes shaped through an extruder. The flavor was good, with a crispy outside, but the texture was off-putting. The pistachio ice cream was phenomenal--worth every penny and calorie. My dining companions said the chocolate trifle was also very, very good.
We live very close by and this is only our third time to visit this restaurant and first time to review it. I prefer not to review new restaurants as they sometimes take a while to get their act together. I think in many ways they have achieved most of their goals. The first thing I don't like is the reservation system. I prefer talking to a person, but then again I would have preferred a robot for the hostess. She was out of her element. Instead of asking us where we wanted to sit she just led us to the out of the way room with no character. Then we asked her for a booth and she declined saying they were all reserved. We asked for a table near the outside dining and she put us in the middle of the walk way. The amazing part was it was New Year's Eve and we arrive (with reservations) at 5:45 pm. When we left an hour later there were still open booths and plenty of space to sit where we wanted.
We did have outstanding table service and excellent food so that more than made up for the hostess. Servers always seem to be well trained and host staff seem to receive no training. And the host staff is the first person you meet.
I am sure we will visit this restaurant again, but not often as there are still some quirks to work out, like the host staff.
