Food was fabulous, a little over priced though, in my opinion. Entertainment is extremely loud which makes dinner conversation very limited. We brought family vacationing here and they enjoyed the food also.
We had reservations....were greeted rudely.."what can I do for ya?", as if we were there to buy a car! Our server was courteous, but continually apologized for the FACT that other tables were served before us, who had arrived AFTER, with the same order. When I ask for the manager, "JJ", the same rude greeter came to our table, agreed that my steak was NOT how I had ordered it, and asked, "so, whadya want me to to?", instead of offering some adjustment. I replied, "whatever you deem appropriate." My wife and I swapped meals, since she didn't want a confrontation, and "JJ" agreed to throw in desert. Learned later from the valet that "JJ" was only some "assistant" manager, whatever that is, and not the person to talk to if one has a problem. Also, the noise level was very high and definitely NOT as a "fine dining" restaurant; one had to SHOUT to be heard, including ordering dinner.
This is our second unsatisfactory experience with 31...we will NOT recommend this place which is SUPPOSED to be fine dining....and we will not be back.
Steaks were mediocre and expensive. Over marinaded and poorly cooked. Sides were generic. Cocktails are excellent.
Love Love Love
Wait Staff Was Super. Piano Bar was Great. Looking Forward to a Return Trip!
This is one of the best places to eat and be merry in Ormond Beach. Whether a date night or a group occasion it's always a good time.
We went out to celebrate my son''s 27th birthday. He had wanted to go to this restaurant because of the great website. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We came in dressed as it was stated that there was a dress code. People were seated next to us in flip flops, shorts and casual wear. The music playing was 50's and then changed to the Eagles. I love the Eagles, but I don't want to hear it in a speak easy. Our meal was too expensive for the quality. My son sent his soup back and by this time we just wanted to leave. It was a nice thought that they packed up a slice of BD cake for my son, but it wasn't nice they had tried to charge me $6.00 for it. The hostess was very nice and I felt she could tell we were not enjoying ourselves. Too bad, we had hoped this would be a dinner to remember for good reasons.
Great food, great entertainment, great place, great people watching
Great club, old speakeasy atmosphere. Steaks were very good. Service excellent. We'll be back soon
We had our 55 Anniversary at 31.. the service was excellent..i liked the waitsaff in black, very professional, knew the menu and wine. It was like going back in time to the night clubs atmosphere.. love it. THE piano player was very good, the music wasn't to loud. He played our song and we danced.. perfect for the evening.. even free dessert..😁
We had a great time. Waiters were special helpful .and courtesy was shown to all Including my special guest age 96 in wheelchair
Very good food quality. Price above average.Good service
Love this supper club restaurant. Only one comment that I have said before. Believe a super club should have a piano player who sings songs a little softer. Otherwise hard to talk.
This is a place to go and enjoy live music (on certain days), dance and have a good time. Having said, that, the food is hit or miss in quality and taste. We had several appetizers and some were spectacular and others were so so. I had the Porterhouse steak and it was so so as well. It was cooked correctly but I have had much better but not much worse. Go to drink, dance, and people watch, but not for a gourmet meal. There are much better steakhouses, you just have to go further to find them. This is not a place to have a quiet romantic meal, at least not on Saturday night when we went.
We loved it! The Food was amazing as was the atmosphere and live entertainment! Our server and bartender were very attentive, personable and lots of fun.
Just wonderful. Lamb lollipops. ... tomahawk steak... creme brulee.... my absolute go to dishes. Great atmosphere and service is impeccable (JJ is the best server, just ask for him....proud to be name twinsies with him). Live music, love the decor.... kinda like a trendy yet classic speakeasy.
I was in Daytona Beach area while on a trip, and i didn't know where to eat. I searched OpenTable only to come across a place with "Supper club" in the name and then looked it up on line. The reviews were all awesome, and it seemed like a no brainer. The live piano was awesome, the food was delicious, the ambience was super fun, and the decor was very interesting. I ordered the 31oz tomahawk and it was incredible!!! Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals, and we all had a great evening.
Great Food! Excellent service and the entertainment was outstanding. Love this place!
Great as always food was hot and fresh DId not see the entertainment we thought would be their but the substitute was pretty good. JJ our waiter was the best as always
We had been looking forward to trying the restaurant as it is a bit different than the usual, more casual restaurants in the area. The food was good - I had the duck - but we all thought the music was too loud and not really supper club-type dinner music.
Nice meal, good service and entertainment.
Went to 31 Supper Club on the recommendation of a few friends and was extremely pleased. The service, food, cocktails and atmosphere were "all" wonderful. One of the best dinners I've had out in a long time.
Went for Sunday brunch on Mother's Day, and was pleasantly surprised with this local gem. Always wanted to stop in, and finally did, and truly enjoyed the experience...I would recommend 31 to anyone who loves good food and is looking for something just a little outside the norm.
The information brochure provided was a great idea, and allowed us to educate ourselves as to the decor used , and I found it fascinating.
We will be back to give it another try when the full menu is available...
What a fun speak-easy motif combined with outstanding cuisine and imaginative cocktails. Fun for people watching. The 2-person band was just great - wonderful tunes without being overwhelming. A great place for a different kind of dining experience.
A nice evening, a bit overpriced though. Oysters Rockefeller were seemingly poached, with no flavor. Steak was very good. Bread pudding for dessert was mediocre.
Excellent food served in a 1931 speakeasy atmosphere by a staff of skilled servers and a very competent bar server. I will certainly return !
Absolutely a fabulous place. Great food great bartenders and great dancing. Wish it was closer to where I live. Will be back on my next visit to Ormond beach
Fabulous service! Dinner was delicious! We had a great time.
Food was fantastic and the service was excellent. The manager came over and said hello and made sure everything was good
Love that place!!
We have dined there several times now and have never been disappointed in either the quality of the food or the professional waitstaff.
We always enjoy their live music specially the Dana Kamide Band. It is really great to have such high quality performers in our town.
Wonderful atmosphere, great food and attentive, accommodating service from J. J. - thanks for helping make my sister's birthday special! The osso bucco is magnificent.
My fiancé and I went for his 50th birthday. We had a wonderful romantic dinner. We loved the decor and the history and story behind it. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great. We will definitely return.
This is the epitome for the very famous saying, you get what you pay for!
Awesome staff, wonderful management, excellent food, attention to every detail was wonderful. worth every dollar that we spent
Distinct atmosphere, great drinks, we had the Tomahawk ribeye for two and it as perfect. The staff was very attentive. The outdoor patio and bar area is very nice as well.
The food was incredible! We had the ribeye special for two. A lot of food and very well prepared! While it may be a little pricy it was well worth it. Service was great too!
Dinner and service were good, but the noise level was high. The restaurant has an urban feel, beautiful and authentic Art Deco pieces and is very elegant but, unfortunately, there is no dress code enforced; so, next to patrons dressed appropriately there were those in shorts and flip-flops! The bar tenders, Melissa and Santina, are awesome, create fabulous cocktails and are eager to please.
Food was good, drinks were great. It's very noisy. Outside patio bar area is much better
Went there for our anniversary dinner and we were blown away by the quality of the food paired with an ambient atmosphere. The food is a bit pricey, but good jazz and succulent dishes makes one look past that. Go check it out, even once.
Had an amazing night with my wife, service, food and ambiance was perfect. Great spot for drinks as well! Highly recommend this establishment.
Loved the live music piano player !
