The French onion soup was lack luster at best. Onions were under caramelized and soup itself lack flavor. The chicken salad was garnished with fresh grapes, melon and vegetable strips. The chicken itself was seasoned well and fresh. The first piece of melon I put in my mouth was mushy and my first thought was ; this has been around for a while, i hope I don’t get sick from this. The restaurant itself is a converted older style home and is quaint. It seems to me that this place could be a place “fit for foodies” with a little more creativity and attention to detail.

Nine of us enjoyed a wide selection of foods, drinks and desserts by Chef Ashley. Everyone raved that their dish was the best. I always order the French Onion Soup - divine! And really love the crab cakes, salmon, and hanger steak.

This was a creative menu with locally sourced food. Also, offered grass fed beef which is important to us. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely visit again.

Was a delicious brunch! The employees seem really happy which says a lot to me as a former F&B worker. Some creative options on the menu.

We went for Father's day at 10am, which was the best timing, in my opinion! Got ahead of the rush and was able to snag a cozy booth overlooking the outside seating and East Blvd. The food was absolutely delicious. Couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu!

The host (Anthony I believe) was super sweet and patient. I changed my mind on where to sit a few times and he maintained a pleasant attitude. Our server was friendly and attentive. Had a wonderful experience.

The food was good, but not great. I noticed that my shrimp dish contained asparagus stalks only ( no tips) which seemed to cheapen the meal a bit. The dessert was good but quite expensive. I felt like I was paying for the ambiance more than the food.

Nice ambiance and atmosphere. Outstanding meal- presentation and taste. Good service at the table, but surprisingly aloof greeting at the door. Still, highly recommended... just suggest that the first person customers meet be as friendly and upbeat as the rest of the staff.

My first visit. Very pleasant, service was great and the food was delicious. There was four of us - we sat on the upper level - felt that the seating was very close/tight. In fact, a couple at a table next to us moved to another table to give us more room. 300 East would be great for an intimate dinner. Will definitely go back.

The food was great and a good value. We arrived early for our reservation to a nearly empty first floor and were immediately shown to a table upstairs where there were no diners, and then to a table that was impossible to sit comfortably in because of the angled wall. I don't know why hostesses think they have to fill their worst tables first. But at least they didn't ask us to wait in the bar to be seated while the restaurant was half empty like some others do.

I’ve been coming to 300 East for more than 20 years. It’s always great. I had the half chicken and my friend had the crab cake. Delicious. I would appreciate a better gluten free menu. It’s definitely an after thought.

Our meal came out very quickly and was delicious. Fruit tasted very fresh! However, the restaurant was very cold and when I asked the server if he could turn the air down he said rudely “I have no control over that” and did not offer for us to sit outside even though that is what I specifically requested.

Tried the Kamut Grain Bowl which I'm told has been on the menu about a week. Really enjoyed the dish. Good flavors and the roasted chick peas where spot on. The server indicated it would be a lot of food but I cleaned my bowl! I don't think it was too much food. Highly recommend and a good option.

Have been going here for years. Well one night was really bad. Head chef must have been off as the food was cold and bland. Had to send some items back as it was not worth eating. Went back 4 nights later and was perfect. Suggest asking if head chef is working before going. Out side of that good place to dine

The service and the main dishes were great. The only complaint I have is the male host that greeted us at the door was not very friendly. Fairly rude with no hint of a smile on his face. This started our visit off on the wrong foot but the server and food turned it around.

This was our second time to the restaurant and although my Halibut was delicious, we were totally turned off by the stale bread slices we got with our dinner. Our waiter also was not the best. He seemed to be in a rush when there weren’t all that many people and just wasn’t friendly or attentive. Disappointed overall.

Went for Brunch right at opening. I would definitely recommend having a reservation as it got busy very fast. Food was wonderful. The portions are large especially the breakfast pizza. We recommend sitting outside weather permitting.

Met an old friend and her mom here! First time Charlotte visitors and we were both first time 300 East guests. Food looked amazing from previous posts and tasted even better when it was placed in front of us! Everything was perfectly portioned for the lunch hour. The avocado BLT and the Shrimp BLT panini were put together very nicely and tasted amazing! All fresh, crisp and seasoned items placed on the sandwiches. We will defiantly be back to try more and hopefully be as satisfied each time we visit!
