Met a friends there for Sunday brunch I suggest making a reservation. Was very crowded. I ordered the crab cake benedict it was packed full of fresh crab not loaded with breading. I was impressed with the asparagus since I'm not fan but because they grilled it I enjoyed it very much. The potato pancake was delicious too. Beignets were ok. First time there but definitely won't be my last.

It was good, as usual, but when we were finished at 10 pm, they shut down the restaurant and packed up - basically kicking us out.

The service was slow. Even though we had a reservation we had to wait a long time for our table, and then another hour for our food. The food itself was undercooked and we couldn’t even find a server to get us silverware and napkins.

I hadn't dined at 300 East for a long, long time. No particular reason, just wasn't on my radar. It's back on my radar. Lovely lunch - good service, tasty food, reasonably priced. Definitely recommended.

A neighborhood haunt. Always good food, great service, lovely setting. 1/2 priced wines on Sunday don’t hurt!!

We were excited to try out this cozy place that we read about and made it a special night for our family. While the restaurant coziness lived up to what we heard about it, We were not overly impressed with the greeting from the host at the door or the dress code of the staff ( all very informal, which is fine but some sloppy. Not what you want to see when you are spending that much on a meal or when you want a nice night out. The customers definitely dressed nicer).
While our waiter was nice enough, Our food was rushed to us. We were still
Eating our appetizers when he put our entrees down on the table. There was no warning, we were in mid conversation. Timing issue there. We ordered more drinks, one was not brought to us.
Our meals were okay. Not overly impressed.
But, what made our visit so uncomfortable was the temperature in the dining room. At first we thought it was because of the table we were seated at: every time the door, in back near bar, was opened a very cold draft came past it. Not sure if this was the kitchen or not, but clearly a work room as staff went in and out, sometimes holding the door open.
We asked to be moved, but that didn’t solve the problem. It was a cold night for sure, but I don’t think there was any heat on at all! None of us really wanted to take our coats off! (We lived in a 100 year old house in New England so we understand the challenges of heating an older home but this was ridiculous)
Did not make for the the cozy, holiday meal we were hoping to have as a family.

Not sure we will be back nor can recommend. We will have to think about giving it another try as this may have been an off night?

Menu isn’t large but it has a nice selection. Wednesday nights are half off bottles of wine. They have a nice selection. Sit upstairs when it’s cold outside.

Took my mom here while she was visiting & couldn't have been more impressed! It may have just been a busy time (we had dinner the day after Christmas), but I'd recommend making reservations just in case. We were seated immediately at a nice table for 2 upstairs. Very cozy atmosphere! I'd say the noise level was pretty moderate considering how packed it was (we were also seated right next to a large family), but we didn't have to shout across the table at one another - conversation was still easy.

The food was incredible as well! My mom got the sesame-soy glazed salmon & absolutely raved about it. I got the farro vegetables with chicken - so delicious! We ordered the brownie for dessert - can't go wrong with that dish.

I will definitely be back to 300 East! The patio looked like it would be a neat spot in [much] warmer weather!

300 East is pretty much always good. Tasty food, cool ambience and a generally upbeat mood. Only complaint would be the rude people “FaceTiming” next to us and being extremely rude. I thought one of the wait staff would have said something but never happened. Not the restaurants fault and wouldn’t prevent me from coming back.

Been to 300 East many times as we love it there. Went with friends for my birthday last Sunday. We sat at a four top main floor near the bar. Our waiter was short with us and rude. Sour face the entire time and did not accurately describe my dish. We had starters, entrees and desserts and sides. The special side risotto was delivered cold and so did not eat. My shrimp entree was lukewarm but I ate the shrimp. I asked waiter what shrimp was served with on plate and he said kale. Forgot to manage the large portion of polenta which why I ordered the risotto. He was argumentative with one of my guests who had put one of the wine buckets on the two top next to us when the guest apologized and said he would just put it on the floor. The waiter kept making sarcastic remarks and wouldn't give it up. Never refilled the sodas, or asked us how the food was. He really ruined the night and my birthday. Struggled to explain the ice cream of the night which I had and was very good. The bartender on the other hand was pleasant helpful and so nice. Wish he would have been our waiter. My guests are regulars at 300 East too and we are all hoping this experience was an anomaly.

It was a little more casual than expected so I felt overdressed, but that did not detract from my dining experience. My husband and I tried several of the menu items and all were delicious. My favorite part was dessert though! I had the white chocolate brioche pudding and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had. Kudos to the pastry chef :)

Our waiter Logan was extremely personable and attentive. He answered all of our questions and gave us good suggestions and recommendations on what to order. It was a girls night get-together and we rarely see each other so it was nice not to feel rushed. We’ve been dining here for years but the service this time was truly exceptional. We even joked about how we wanted to request to be seated in his section from now on. Food was on point and delicious as always!

300 East has an amazing entree and dessert menu. The staff is always nice and willing to go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable. My favorite thing to order is the bacon-wrapped filet that is stuffed with gorgonzola. Can't beat the price for what you get! I highly recommend.

We come here every time we happen to be in Charlotte and it never disappoints. Food, service and value are always spot on. Location and ambiance are also positive points. It is located in what looks like a residential house and it is also very near a large Charlotte shopping mall and the airport.
