They had a fire& were closed for repairs
Lamb chops were good, generous portion.
Excellent as always. The dessert tray cannot be beat!!!! Awesome pumpkin cheesecake!!!!!
Outstanding food and wine. Lovely atmosphere. Very good service. Unique entrees and presentations. Will definitely return.
Perfect service. The "hostess" is the owner's mom, who also makes the appetizers and bakes all of the desserts.
Great service, great bar tender
The food was excellent. Our waiter was outstanding. He was patient, pleasant and funny.
Dinner was amazing. The desert was just as good. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and how the food is prepared. Will definitely return.
3 Point is always excellent.
What a true gem for down town Akron. From the moment you walk in its a pleasure. Food is fantastic. Excellent service. The friendliest family runs this restaurant HANDS ON !!!
We like this restaurant before going to the symphony or other cultural event in Akron. It is very convenient to many activities downtown. Good service and small plates are what we like.
Bad piece of 36.99 sea bass
Ammonia smell and taste
Not good for a 47th wedding anniversary
Our favorite dining establishment just became our worst
Should have been removed from the bill
We love Gma F. Very welcoming and sweet and a great cook
Food was flavored well. About half of my potatoes were under cooked but that is my only complaint.
Everything was awesome! Great food! Would definitely go back!
The airline chicken was tasty but the sauce and the rissotto were extemely salty. This is the second time we havw eaten there and the food has been very salty. It over powers the taste
My favorite new place! Tacos the best around. Their desserts are amazing. My husband thinks
The Ahi tuna appetizer is the best of any place he's had it.Great atmosphere and decor. I can't
Wait to go back!
my husband and i love 3 Point. We took friends there Friday evening and they loved it as well.Love the food, atmosphere and our waiter John was excellent. This was our 2nd time with him and he is was as great as the 1st time. Our son and his wife love 3 Point also. Cant wait to go again!
It helped having a Groupon!
Very enjoyable. Have been there before.
Unfortunately our food was not very good. I had shrimp and scallops and they were ok but they were in with some potatoes and corn, and the potatoes were raw. I couldn't eat them. Our waiter was very nice though.
3 Point is a great place for just about anything- date, family, celebration, friends. One of my favorite places, perfect mix of casual yet upscale, classic yet trendy. Menu has so many options it's always hard to choose. Service is always friendly on top of everything else.
The food, ambience and service at 3 Point is always excellent and the desserts are heavenly. They just recently changed the menu and I had the BBQ Blackberry Duck with smoked gouda risotto and it was extraordinary as was the éclair I had for dessert. I like just about everything about 3 Point, but I do think it's a little pricey.
Always a wonderful meal and good service!
Our first visit was not up to par, but they were short of servers. This last visit on Friday was awesome. Our server was fun and the food was delish! The desserts are out of this world!
Great food; we unfortunately filled up on appetizers-but that's not all bad !!
We were extremely pleased with our server, the atmosphere, and the food. The service was prompt, our server made us feel welcomed she did not rush us. We felt at home and comfortable. My husband stated that the duck was the best he had ever had. My pork chops were so tender and tasty we enjoyed our meals very much. We will definitely return to 3 points the next time we are in this city and we have already recommended it to our friends and family because it is well worth the trip and the money.
Our food was delicious as usual, however the service was pretty slow considering how empty the restaurant was on a Tuesday evening.
Excellent food, great service, very friendly atmosphere. Can't wait to get back.
My family in Akron took me to 3 Point when I was visiting them from out of town. They raved about the food and they were right - everything I sampled was excellent. I wish the service had matched the food; it wasn't terrible but was very slow, especially on an evening when the restaurant wasn't very busy. However I'm anxious to return again for dinner on my next visit to Akron.
We have always had superb entrees. The shrimp and scallop over linguine is excellent. Service on this Saturday night was lacking compared to the many times we dined at 3 Point on prior occasions. It was a busy night and the server had two large parties to cover. Calamari appetizer was very good as were the wedge and house salads. White French dressing is homemade. Bread is also homemade and baked fresh.
Food was terrific! This is a ala carte, which I find a bit annoying, but it was very good. Server did a fine job of pairing wine with dinner.
We arrived for our pre ASO reservation at 5:45 on Saturday. The greeter asked if we wanted a table or booth. BF said booth. The hostess came up and the greeter let her know he was seating us at a booth. She began to argue with him and told him the booths had been requested on some upcoming reservations and were not available. She then started chastising us telling us that booths were not guaranteed in a reservation which made no sense since she was holding them based on reservations... We should have taken the hint and left then and there.
We sat at a table and ordered a nice bottle of red blend. The waitress opened and poured it and I was shocked when I took a sip and found it was COLD. I asked the waitress if it was in the cooler and she said yes. She also seemed surprised when I told her red wine is supposed to be served at room temperature. We declined her offer to search for a warmer bottle and let our wine warm up.
We ordered salads and entrees. Our salads came out and we had taken a few bites when someone brought our entrees to the table. I refused them saying that we had barely started our salads. About 15 minutes after that our waitress said they were pushing her to bring us the entrees. I told her we did not want those entrees that had been sitting under the warmer waiting but wanted fresh food.
My sea bass though small was cooked well and flavorful. It did not come with the rice listed in the menu description. My side of asparagus was overcooked and uninspired. My BF ordered the special which was surf and turf. He said the shrimp was good but the medallions were just ok.
Overall the experience was very disappointing especially considering the other options in the area in that price range. We will not return.
Loved the restaurant it was our first time and I just did a random pick on open table it was a great pick. John our waiter was very attentive and answered all of our questions he also had great recommendations. We went from appetizers to dessert. We will defiantly be back.
Good downtown location. Well laid out. Menu was diverse and our meals were enjoyable. Reservations highly recommended for the weekends as it does tend to fill up.
It was great! Everything we ate was awesome!!!
We love to go to 3-Point...we are never disappointed. We took some friends for their first time at 3-Point and they loved it. We had the Shrimp Bruschetta and Ahi Tuna for appetizers...yummy on both! We had the Mahi and Scallop dinner; the lamb; and the crab cakes.....great portion size and flavor. And to finish we had desserts....homemade and yummy...the pistachio cake is light and tasty!
3-Point has great happy hours too!!
The appetizers were creative, delicious and substantial. Service was exceptional. The Manager checked on us to insure satisfaction. The drinks, especially the Martinis, were really good...and full sized!
While the food is fantastic here, we honestly go for the desserts. The desserts are homemade from the kitchen recipes of the owner's mother (I believe that is the correct relation). They are to die for delicious. We split meals, skip appetizers (although the calamari is great) and do whatever it takes to make sure dessert is going to fit in the meal plan at 3 Point. If our "what do you want to eat tonight" conversation drifts to a good dessert, 3 Point is the first place we go!
My meal which was lamb, was so over cooked I could barely cut it with a stake knife. I did send it back and the waiter said to try the lamb chops. They would be less tough. Due to a diet I did not want the carbs on the plate that came with this dish ( why I did not order it in the first place) . The waiter actually told me I would have to pay an up charge on this $38 meal for two orders of veggies instead of potatoes. Wow after you brought me an unbeatable meal. I asked to speak with the manager. Who did apologize and make everything right. But over all I do have to say... We won't be back.. They have a lot of competition so they better step it up!
This place at first looking at the outside I thought nothing much of it. When me and my wife got in it looked interesting inside. It has a modern feel. Our server was wonderful . We had a martini and a porter beer. The food was amazing. I hand mahi and scallop and my wife had a blue cheese steak. Both dishes were amazing.
