Oh my gosh, the best meal of 2018 (so far)... can't recommend the beet salad and mushroom velouté enough! Our server Julio was amazing, and we truly appreciated the split on the perfectly prepared ribeye in a perfect Bourdeaulaise sauce. The new pastry chef is a master with chocolate, and my wife loved our belated Valentine's Day date from beginning to end. We're already planning a return trip in the near future, thank you 2941!
We have been for drinks before and were looking forward to having a full dinner for date night. We were seated and sat for a solid 10 minutes before we were offered water or approached in any way. Throughout the night, our server was very absent and I felt like we were an afterthought.Our entrees arrived over an hour after we ordered after we finally flagged our server down to ask about the status to which he responded that the kitchen was backed up because everyone came at once. I found that strange because only 30-40% of tables were full and it was a Friday night. Our wine and ceviche appetizer was decent but the salmon was over cooked and my $38 grouper was bland with undercooked cannelloni beans. The ambience and restaurant is just beautiful and we will return for drinks but to be honest our date night was rather spoiled by the bland and overpriced food and extremely lackluster service. Had either been better, the bill wouldn’t have been as painful to pay. Very disappointed.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years, and I have never had a bad experience. The food is always outstanding and the service impeccable.

An amazing restaurant hidden away in a commercial building easy to overlook. Loved the small separate room with 8 tables-for-two that creates the quiet, intimate atmosphere for a romantic evening out. Food was fabulous, service was prompt and attentive without being clingy.
First thing I have to compliment 2941 on service! Top notched - from the host staff to wait staff I felt completely welcomed and catered to. The food overall was amazingly tasty and creative. The best calamari I've had in my life. We also loved the mushroom soup and I can go on and on and the raspberry chocolate mousse - only the best dessert I've had in my life. I wish the menu wasn't so limited this weekend - and overall it is a pricey place to dine but I have to say it was worth it.

Gorgeous restaurant, delicious food, and excellent service.The swordfish and desserts were especially enjoyable. We had read that Valentine's Day is a bad time to eat at a restaurant, but we always have had a good experience at 2941 and decided they would do Valentine's day well too. The restaurant did not let us down.
Valentine's Day dinner so I figured it wouldn't be all that, I was right. Service was super slow and not that good, the food was so-so and overall for what we paid I could have gotten a much better meal and better service and many other places. Disappointed for sure. Won't be going back and probably wouldn't recommend it to friends.
We had an amazing experience here! For it being Valentine's Day, it didn't feel overly crowded or noisy. We were still able to have a quieter romantic evening. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information both about regions and the wines themselves. We were trying to pick between two wines and he helped us make the right decision. The food we had was flavorful and cooked to perfection - I would have loved to HUG the chef for the passion and attention to detail (flavors, textures, combinations). It was our first time here and we will DEFINITELY be back soon!

Lovely setting for special nights out - good variety of tempting selections on the menu, impressive wine/cocktail offerings, and the food, presentation, service and atmosphere were all excellent. We celebrated a birthday here recently, and the staff ensured it was delightful evening for all of us. We will definitely be returning!
The food was excellent, including the deserts that were not only delicious, but also original which is rarely the case. The service was very poor with food served 5 minutes before wine would come to the table and unnecessary rushed. It is tragic to see the good impression created by the quality of the food being ruined by an unprofessional waiter.
It was a dinner celebrating 5 years of dating, being engaged and getting ready for my first deployment. Food was amazing, it really wasn't as expensive as I thought (still expensive just not as bad) really nice scenery, lighting was beautiful. Overall very much worth it.
2941 is simply an exceptional restaurant. The setting is open and inviting. The wait-staff are seriously professional, both knowledgeable and adept at making their contact helpful but not intrusive. The wine list is accommodating and the food is delicious and beautifully presented. We have not been dining out as often lately, but getting back to 2941 made us realize what we miss in an outstanding fine dining establishment. We had a great meal and look forward to going back.
I want to start by saying all the food at 2941 was delicious! We ordered the sea bass, ribeye, and beef rib special entrees, along with the ceviche appetizer. All of them were delicious!! My only small criticism of the food was that the ceviche portion was quite small, especially given the $17 price tag. All in all, the food was great! However, given the price of the food ($34-$48 entrees), we thought the service and ambiance should have been better. Two of our entrees arrived at our table without the third. The waiter came over a minute later and said he'd look into the problem. He returned and said there had been a "computer problem" so our third entree wasn't ready. It took a good 5-10 min for the third entree to come out. We waited to eat which meant the other two entrees were cold by the time the third arrived. My husband and I ordered sangria cocktails. While my husband liked his, I did not… was expecting something more "authentic." So, in conclusion, the food was very good, but given all the other great restaurant options in the D.C. area, we don't foresee going back to 2941 anytime soon.
Always a lovely dinner at 2941. The winter 2018 menu provides a bit of everything. Per usual, the pasta dishes stand-out. The tasting menu with wines is worth the trip. Who would of thought you could pair wine with device but they did.
Enjoyed the awesome tasting menu and wine flight for our birthday dinner. We love the wine education from the sommelier who is both knowledgeable and entertaining.
