First class experience all the way.

Prices were reasonable, ambience was superb.

Portions were a bit small, but I’m on a diet anyway.

Exquisite dinning and lovely atmosphere for my first time experience here. My date could not have chosen a better place. It made our first date UNFORGETTABLE!

Love the food. The service was a bit under par but not far from perfect!. Loved how they wrote happy birthday for my friend on the menu; and the complimentary birthday dessert was delicious. I was less impressed by the most basic burger they had on the menu. I used to think that everything on the menu was good, but that burger changed my mind. Everything BUT that burger is good.

Outstanding Food!
This restaurant continues to deliver a very high quality service with dishes that are not only creative but delicious and with a very artistic presentation. The sea bass dish is amazing because the mushroom reduction sauce is amazing. The bread, the view, the service and the dishes continue to be outstanding. This restaurant has been and continues to be one of our very favorites. The tuna tartare is legendary.

My husband and I enjoyed our New Year’s Eve dinner at 2941 The good and service were excellent However, we were disappointed with our table which was next to a serving station because we had requested a table by the fireplace The reservation was made a month ago

We went for New Yeat’s Eve. We expected the menu to be limited It was the price of the cocktails and added gratuity that were surprising. We always pay 20% Our bill was was $130 over the meal, one cocktail and 2 glasses of 10 Cava. Surprise

I may have been a bit stern and even harsh with my 3 stars overall rating. However, being a world traveler and having dined in most of the best restaurants in NYC, I recently moved to this area.
For the sake of other “foodies” local or just visiting, I decided to leave this review...

The atmosphere and warm greetings were delightful, especially from the coat check girl Karol, who also brought us to our table.
I had read-up on this restaurant and staff as much as I could before booking our reservation.

In a nutshell; I was expecting far better than what my experience was. My appetizer and dessert were very good. However, my main entree was a shocking disappointment as was the entree served at the table next to ours. It was hard to ignore their vocalizing displeasure as well.

The service was also a little frustrating at times. What one might expect at a 3 or 4 star restaurant, but quite lacking for a 5 star experience. Our hand needed to be raised for our waiter 4 or 5 Times.

I was charged $5.00 for my glass of water, which I may have taken two sips out of, and $5.00 for a regular cup of coffee I ordered with my desert.

I hope this summary may be helpful to others.

We arrived to complementary valet parking, although tips on the way out is expected. The entire staff was professional, kind, and very helpful. Our reservation in place, we were quickly escorted to our table. Our waitress had a fantastic smile and wonderful demeanor. The calamari was the best I've ever had, the hamachi delectable, the vegan mushroom entree delicious, and my favorite: Black Truffle Risotto, was a trip to heaven and back. I merely informed the host who seated us of my date's birthday and they brought a complimentary dessert at the end with a candle and the expected phrase written in chocolate. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food, ambiance, and service. I fully plan of coming here again. Bon Appetit!

Bar- staff were friendly BUT almost too casual like we were interrupting them for our drinks. When we sat down the bartender kept his back to us until he was ready to greet us. He had an edge of attitude the entire night.
Food- The appetizer potato chips were greasy and unimpressive. The calamari was a deep fried disaster. The mushroom truffle appetizer was average at best. The scallops were decent. The ravioli was nothing to write home about. Our server was annoying. If you aren’t eating the food you are ordering, wouldn’t you ask if everything was okay?

The restaurant is a little expensive, but I have to say it is reflected in the food. Every part of the meal was delicious, from the complementary bread to the main steak main course. The service was excellent as with waiter knowledgeable and polite and the other servers attentive and cordial.

We return several times s year to celebrate special occasions for the delicious food, good service and lovely setting. (But we missed the outside holiday lights this year.). The appetizers, especially mushrooms and octopus, are excellent. While the entrees are also delicious, the portion size is small.

Christmas Eve dinner for six friends. We were seated next to a cozy fireplace and were well taken care of by Julio and the other staff. The food was excellent and delicious. The wine was perfect. And the dessert, coffee and after dinner drink a lovely way to bring our dinner to a conclusion. We were never rushed and we never seemed to wait for our service which was prompt and unobtrusive. Wonderful.

While the food and service was good, and I was shown to my table promptly when I checked in 15 minutes before the time of my reservation, something strange happened. When I returned home, I discovered that the restaurant had called, approximately a half hour after I'd been seated, to ask me whether I was running late or wanted to cancel the reservation. In addition, I found an email from Open Table suggesting that next time I decide not to show up, it'd be better if I cancel the reservation. I assume the person who showed me to my table neglected to notate the computer or something. This did mar the experience to some degree. I've dined at 2941 many times over a number of years and wonder whether it is as well managed as in the past.

We went to 2941 to celebrate a birthday. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the hostess and shown our table. Our server arrived with our menus. He was very engaging and friendly. On the top of our menus it said, “Happy Birthday!”

Our server gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted and took our order when we were ready. Our food arrived and was delicious. Again, we felt no pressure to finish up so the next reservation could be seated.

We ordered a dessert to share. In addition, our server brought a small red velvet cake with happy birthday written on the plate.

The young man who cleared our table was very mannerly.

Overall, it was a delightful evening.

Greeted and sat for our dinner, friendly and timely service. All the food was great and vegetarian options got a "just OK" from diners. Duck was moist and tasty and sea bass was given positive remarks. I enjoy this place since they opened, although it is a little different place now, a notch more casual, which makes it more accessible, I think.
Great cocktails, total pros behind the bar.

It was my birthday celebration, and every minute of the evening from beginning to end could not have been better. We were treated royally. The food was stupendous (as always) and Barcoe (spelling?) was attentive and helpful. The menu had my name and occasion, and the plate of my dessert again had Birthday wishes. It couldn't have been a more special evening.

Thank you 2941! We'll be back. I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone.

The service is excellent as it should be in honor of first-class food expertly prepared. The butternut squash soup is smooth, rich and full of flavor. The black truffle risotto is creamy, with generous sprinkling of truffles and infused with the right touch of truffle flavor. The wine list is one of the best you will find anywhere in Washington.
