2941 is one of my favorite restaurants, always the food is fabulous. I've been going for 6 years.
Food was great. Cocktails were disgustinggggg
Great service and food paired with fabulous wines makes for a wonderful dining experience. Delicious food is beautifully presented by personable and professional staff.
We had another fabulous dinner at 2941 this week when we dined to celebrate our anniversary. The beautiful presentation mirrored the delicious quality of the food we ate - from a creamy goat cheese mousse opener, to seafoood risotto and perfectly prepared beef, to a delicious ”l’exotique” for dessert, and finally to our espresso. This is one of our “go to” spots for both special occasions and a “let’s go out” evening. 2941 is always a lovely and delicious experience for us- plus it has an excellent wine list.
The food at 2941 is exceptional and usually good for Restaurant Week, but this year the food was excellent for Restaurant Week!! Nice job chef👍
Restaurant week lunch
Food and service very good - somewhat pricey.
Noise was very loud.
The food was great, and the ambiance was very nice as well. The only drawback was that we had a long wait between the time our dishes from our entrees were collected and we received our desserts. But it was restaurant week, so it was probably much busier than usual, so I would not hold it against them.
3 courses. Nothing less than excellent. Service, ambiance and food all superior.
The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful.
Outstanding! Have been here before and always good, but this may have been the best. Food, service and ambiance were all A+.
2941 is one of my favorite restaurants,, not only for the cuisine and service, but also because of its setting. This visit proved again how attentive the staff is, how sumptuous the food is, and how beautiful the setting, even in the snow. We had the Restaurant Week menu, and there were quite a few options for each course. Hurry to 2941 and have a leisurely, well-designed and implemented menu, and lovely view!
The staff was very accommodating of a family’s special occasion, celebration of a 60th Birthday, that included a 2 year old. While he was a peach through the whole night, we could not have done it without a great service staff, and a well thought out menu for the small one. The food was spectacular! Tasting menu made for flavorful experience with every course, very well done!
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Great for business dinner or special occasion.
Another outstanding meal at 2941, which is the most underrated restaurants in the area, and one of the best. We each had a four course tasting menu, so we tried 8 dishes. Every one of them was a standout -- the chestnut soup, the trout sashimi, the beef duo, the veal milanese, the sea bass, both desserts. It was simply an outstanding meal, as it always is here.
Hugely overpriced, portions are a joke, server with French accent trying to make it looks like a prestigious place..
Was excited about trying this restaurant out. Was impressed when I walked in. Large, but nice ambiance. Cozy fireplaces add warmth to the venue. Wine list ridiculous... majority of wines were over the $200-500 mark. Very sparse selection under $100. I know there are some really nice wines on the market that are under $100. Went with an unfamiliar wine for $50 that was carbonated and sweet, reminiscent of my days in college drinking Lambrusco. It never should have been in the wine list. Disappointing. The food was beautifully presented, but extremely expensive. My husband I opted to share a porterhouse steak which was $130. It was good, but Morton’s is better and less expensive with a much nicer wine selection. Won’t be going back!!!
Burgers were pretty disappointing
Delicious lunch and great service. Only thing is it was cold in the restaurant.
New Year's Eve dinner with friends. Complimentary valet, great ambience and service. This dinner was a 3 course menu with many choices for each course. Signature drinks were available and wine by the glass. We all ordered difference choices and every choice was beautifully presented and tasted great. There was no disappointment. We ordered a special bottle of wine off the extensive wine menu and the selection was a very good one. Grand evening to ring in the New Year. Definitely recommend 2941 restaurant.
It seemed the restaurant was challenged with the crowd for New Year's Eve. They couldn't get the specialty drinks right. Dinner was above average but not amazing. Very good but not spectacular which is what you would expect for the money. We had a lovely table and easy in and out with the valet. Will enjoy going on not as busy a night. Loved the atmosphere!
Great place for a special celebration —- or just because...
The six of us had a New Years Eve dinner here and enjoyed every minute. Great service. Special drinks. The wine was fabulous. Love the bar...so beautiful and the bar tenders (wonderful, smart, efficient women) made sure everyone’s beverage was perfect...even our very picky guests. 2941 never disappoints...and it’s such a beautiful setting. The NYE menu was great — something for everyone. I loved the sea bass, but my husband claimed that the squash raviolini was the best.
We had a wonderful meal on New Year's eve. 2941 will continue to be our traditional celebration restaurant each new years eve, and will bring us back throughout the year. The service from the front door thru dinner was impeccable. Mark our waitstaff was attentive, but giving us space for a wonderful time. As always, Jonathan, the sommelier, provided the perfect wine for pairing for the different entrees my wife and I choose.
I was there with with a party of 5 for NYE 2018, and quite frankly, it was pretty bad. While everyone was very friendly the overall service was mediocre, and the food was sub par. The fixed-price menu was extremely overpriced for 3 courses.
Since I have dairy issues my only option that night was fish which is not a problem since I love fish. Everything else on the menu was cream-based, and it was easier to leave the sauce off the fish. I was told they could pile a bunch of veg with the fish, but sadly, all that was on the plate was oily mushrooms. Randomly enough, there was a vegan dessert which was good (but no vegan/vegetarian options).
What I noticed the most, however, was the vastly different plating sizes. The fish was approx 3-4 oz while others at the table had lamb which was 2 pieces at 6-8 oz each. I get it. Fixed-price menus mean limited options, but the menu wasn't really well-rounded. On top of it all, we have a mystery $200 on the bill we are still trying to sort out.
Shocking amount of money for food that was just meh. Friends have said this place was good, but I will not go back again.
Great as always. Our choice for New Years Eve, it was
surely the right one!
Excellent food and service in a nice atmosphere !!!!
I chose 2941 to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We usually go to 2941 only on special occasions because it is expensive. It is worth the expense to us because the total experience there is superb. Valet parking, gracious welcome and seating, terrific service, lovely ambience including low noise level, and outstanding food keep us coming back.
Very nice place for a special occasion. Expensive so not your local hangout. Service and food was excellent.
Wide open area with only two other couples there and they placed us in a back corner near a window where it was cold. The server brought out the incorrect order and we had to wait on another meal to be prepared. The food itself was salty, tasteless and unsatisfying. I am not sure how this restaurant is still in business.
The seafood risotto special was excellent!
The restaurant was okay, did not get the initial lunch service our reservation was made for. Restaurant did call but did not explain why we could not have lunch. Arrived and they showed us to a table in the middle, we wanted a table by the window and the lady refused rudely, they did not have any kids menu. the actual menu was not easy to understand what exactly you were getting. The waiter was good, food took longer than expected. The food was tasty but in French style small portions not like most American restaurants.
Sadly our much looked forward to Christmas eve dinner was disappointing. My crab starter was grey in color and tasteless, the seafood entree very good, but the dessert mediocre. The on and off Christmas music was far too loud and invasive. This used to be a very up market venue with a very good private and quiet ambiance but sadly things seem to have slipped.
Unfortunately, I failed to notice (if it was advertised) that this was a fixed-price situation, involving three courses, with no option to order less. We thus had to order more food than we needed or wanted. It was good, but too much, and rather expensive.
Delicious and elegantly presented and served.
Inasmuch as we're not wealthy, this place will always be a once-in-a-while place, but it's tempting to go as often as possible because each visit seems so special. We went on Christmas Eve, but there was absolutely no trace among the staff of any resentment for having to work on that special night. To the contrary the mood was festive, as though we were among friends.
Although wine pairings weren't advertised with the three-course Christmas Dinner, our waiter Marc was able to effortlessly choose three wines for each of our three courses (six glasses total). To see someone at the top of his game like that, was so impressive. There was no calling over the sommelier or anything like that. The whole meal was conducted like a symphony. There's no better place for a special night than 2941.
Dinner on Christmas Eve. Fabulous. Delicious. Just right
The Christmas Eve prix fixe menu was excellent, interesting combinations, beautifully presented and just the right size portions.
Went for the Christmas Eve’s dinner for four. Food was expectedly great but service was a tad rushed. Understandable, given people had to work on this day. But that shouldn’t be an excuse. Been there repeatedly. Expect the same standard Christmas Eve or not. Still, a good experience overall.
It was very good. My only complaint was that the mussels were not well cleaned and were very sandy with some large gritty chunks. Stopped eating them. Mentioned to the wait staff, but no response.
