Beautiful upscale fine dining restaurant- our only complaint was that we felt we weren’t given that much attention ( waited for what seems like 10 minutes before our waitress came and introduced herself) it was a busy night however not even the busboy was in a hurry to attend to us( even though we were staring right at him, he was very close to our table) but otherwise we enjoyed the food and ambiance.
Very attentive service. The food were great, very creative. The desserts were excellent and piece of art
The view is gorgeous, the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and most of all, the restaurant staff coordinate with me to stage the best proposal night I can think of! They generously prepared the "Will You Marry Me?" cherry bloom dessert, and two glasses of champagne to helps us celebrate, both on the house! Overall, it's a magnificent night at a supreme restaurant.
Our waiter Julio i believed his name was, seem to be in a hurry every time he came to our table
We were celebrating my daughter's PhD with her husband. She got a menu with Congratulations printed at the top. Cocktails were delicious, as were the appetizers and entrees. We had a very nice French viognier. Desserts were all knockouts. In all, a most enjoyable experience.
We enjoyed a very tasty and beautifully plated lunch. Excellent service and perfect
choice of wines. looking forward returning soon. We have recommended to many of
our friends that live in DC that are used to special restaurants that are similar to 2941 in service
and fine dining.
The food was very good, and the service was excellent. The high ceilings make for an unexpectedly loud environment. The entree servings are not large which may or not be a bad thing. Overall, very nice in a pleasant setting.
Food was great, Wine list was excellent, Service great
2941 has excellent food and ambience. Convenient valet parking is a plus. We invited friends and all of us very much enjoyed the chef's menu ... (choice of 4,5 or 6 small plates), and we selected our own wine from an interesting and very nice wine list. The portions were perfect for us (we prefer smaller portions). We each had 4 courses, and all were terrific, especially the scallops, the filet mignon, and the seared fois gras (along with a fairly nice Sauternes by the glass). We were not rushed, and enjoyed a great evening.
Great mother's day menu. Our waiter was as professional as they come. Thanks and see you soon.
The food had very little flavor...salad was supposed to have truffle dressing, but did not.
The halibut was over cooked and had no flavor. And the dessert was old which was sent back. But the replacement certainly wasn’t worth the calories.
Food and service were very good. The only problem was the price. Too much money for what we got
This was my first time at 2941 and I must say I was truly impressed. My best friend moved away and my mother passed away some years ago, so I decided to treat her mother (who is like a mother to me) to an early dinner. This is one of her favorite restaurants. We had so much fun and the food was amazing!
We arrived for a Mother's Day Brunch and had a fantastic meal with great service. We all had something different and came away raiving about each dish.
Thank you for a wonderful memory.
Our go-to spot for fine dining/special occasions since our arrival in NoVA five years ago. Consistently amazing and as good or better than any of the more high profile restaurants in downtown DC.
Excellent service, our waiter knew he menu and offered several suggestions whcih were very good. WE have enough time to have our appetizer prior to lunch showing up. I will come back again and bring more staff.
We were celebrating a director occasion, the hostess called ahead and printed special menus for us (which the chef signed for the first of honour). We all thought the food was excellent. The desserts were spectacular. Service was friendly, attentive.
It was my birthday I went with my husband, very friendly staff great food and beautiful landscapes I will go again and again.
We were a group of 7 and every one of us were happy with our appetizer, lunch and dessert. Food is excellent and I always recommend this restaurant to all my friends. Service is outstanding and the view is breathtaking.
5 Star food, wine and coktails and one of the most professional staffs in the business, they set a bar few in the northern virginia area can touch. Bertrand's creativity is way over the top and first class. Go weekly if you can!
Beautiful setting, great table near the tall windows. Food is excellent. No one rushed us between courses. Good service. All in all, very nice evening. We think it was a home run.
2941 is on top of their game. New menu is creative. Seafood pasta is truly memorable. Bread and strawberry shortcake inspired dessert left us wanting more.
Everything was spectacular! Julio took very good care of us as well. Excellent.
If you want the best food, served beautifully and professionally, in a lovely, interesting restaurant, you dine at 2941. I celebrated my 80th birthday with 32 of my favorite friends in a private dining room in October 2016. To a person they expressed the same thing: excellent food, well served in a great setting...N. Hart Nibbrig
Great location. The view is very nice. Food is very good with the French Onion soup being excellent.
Food was exquisite!!
We love 2941, always have! Never had a bad meal or experience there!
Everything was fantastic! Our waiter was wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to return.
Great time. Fabulous food.
It was great. Our friend loved our choice for dinner. Highly recommend 2941. The service was excellent.
The Sommelier was very knowledgeable and so helpful. He introduced us to a nice Spanish wine that went beautifully with pasta AND seafood. The noise level in the restaurant was just right. It was easily half full on a Monday night and it is a sizeable space. My husband has hearing issues and it is such a pleasure to be in a place that is not SO LOUD. The food was outstanding (as usual) and the desserts are always whimsical and delicious.
Chef created an AMAZING dessert comprised of coconut sorbet, pineapple compote, rum gelée, gluten free coconut crumble, pineapple foam. Never had anything like it, and was it good!
Great menu choices.
Disappointed with 2941. I had high expectations but the portions were so small it was laughable and the service was fine, but not great.
Wonderful experience to celebrate a birthday. Tasting menu was great. Special menu and dessert for the birthday girl.
We recently visited 2941 for the first time, part of a professional group that gathered there. Overall, our evening was quite lovely and the food was - again, overall - quite good. Many of us had the sea bass over shiitakes (tender, moist, delicious) as our entree; there were also smiles of satisfaction over the beet salad, the tuna tartar and the fried calamari appetizers. The wine list had some excellent options, albeit hugely marked up (no surprise - it's just a bit gross to pay $95 for a bottle I can find for $40). And the ambiance is lovely; the view even more so. This is a fabulous location for a special occasion.
The only reason not to give more stars in some categories were certain "cheap" notes:
(1) the bread basket. Seriously - that bread could easily have come from Giant Food's bakery. And it was a little dry/stale. And the butter? For this level of dining, do something fun with it! A few grains of sea salt, even...
(2) the desserts. While delicious, they were ridiculously insubstantial. We ordered a few so that each pair could enjoy one dessert between them, and I'm not even sure we could quantify what we ate as "spoonfuls." More like tiny nibbles.
Small tweaks could turn a lovely evening into a completely memorable one, even when paying a pretty hefty check at the end.
Thanks for making my mother's birthday so special, the menu acknowledgement and dessert were very appreciated!
The service was wonderful and the food was perfect. Medium rare beef was actually served medium rare, which unfortunately has become difficult to find at restaurants. Ambiance was quiet and reserved which made for a nice, relaxing dinner.
