SAVE YOUR TIME, DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT.
Not sure how this place stays in business. As a hospitality professional, the service was outright unacceptable.
Our server was incredibly rude. He never introduced himself, he came to the table once to take our order and when we asked for another minute, he never returned. He was literally dodging our table, so there was no way to even get his attention. No one else seemed to be working besides him??? It’s now been an hour and we didn’t even get our drink order.
Finally the manager came over, but never introduced herself as so. She took our drink and food order but never apologized for any delay. At 1.5 hrs we finally got 1 app, then minutes later drinks, then the other app. The mushrooms were over salted and inedible and the cauliflower was under seasoned - it was literally just boiled cauliflower. And the prices they have the audacity to charge?!
I have never wanted to walk out at a restaurant, but I have never been so disgusted with an experience. We met the host at the front and she’s the only one who was polite and understanding, she apologized and said to not worry about the bill. Our initial server, came up running to us screaming at us to “put our masks on when talking to my staff” EXCUSE ME?! you’re kidding right. First you run and then you’re screaming at patrons? I was dumbfounded and that was it for me.
I asked to speak with the manager and was shocked to see it was the lady who came to take our order; clearly she didn’t care about upholding any quality of service. She met me with zero emotion or compassion and an empty apology.
Great food, wonderful experience. Great drinks. Unpretentious atnosphere
The menu seems as if it doesn’t want to confirm to a certain style. In each of the dishes we ate, there was something just unusual about their creation. For example, jerk chicken on a bed of hummus. The chicken was great but a Warm meat on top of hummus was weird. The crispy pork appetizer had a delicious spicy slaw but also included plantain tostones. The tostones made no sense in the dish. The short ribs included pickles, a pickled relish and then...cauliflower. Perhaps others know the vibe they’re trying to accomplish but we did not. Perhaps they should be celebrated for taking risks in their creation of dishes, but they could do much better. The location is great and the ambiance of The space demand something a bit better for the price.
The food was very tasty, the ambiance and service was fantastic. I thought the fish of the day dish was a bit pricey at $36 and a very small glass of rose was $14, I believe. Just a little over priced. Love the hotel and the look of things very much.
Terrible service. No greeting or waiter for 15 mins. Meal served without clearing appetizer plates. Wine with dinner arrived after dinner. Food was mediocre, felafel was burned, pasta with bacon nothing special.
Very nice atmosphere, good food. Only one block from busy Collins Ave !
A really great find. Just what we were looking for.
Food great and service was great except server didn’t check on us during meal to get another drink order. Would have loved to have my white with my delicious fish.
Food, service and drinks all A+. Our server can’t remember his name but he was amazing, you could tell he truly loved the food and drinks and made amazing recommendations. Get the crudo del día ceviche and the pork shoulder dishes to start you won’t regret it.
I loved it .So I charming
Food was great as anticipated. Servers seemed very short staffed so the service was a bit disappointing
Incredible meal, great service, HIGHLY recommend!!!
Great food and amazing service! The staff is here is so great!
I like wines. Wines are yum. I’m my face It went.
Enjoyed everything. A 20% gratuity was automatically included (which was not mentioned) plus they also had a space for a tip.
All staff made us feel welcomed & special, as if we were the only ones dining. Crista was outstanding. She made our anniversary dinner memorable!
I previously came here in 2019 (Pre Covid, obviously) and had a great experience. Food was fantastic and memorable and service was top notch.
Unfortunately, my last visit did not live up to that standard. My husband and I ordered four apps to share and several drinks. One of the items literally tasted like nothing -- I think it was the short rib but i honestly can't even remember because it was so bland. The shrimp dumplings were pretty good but nothing incredible. We did enjoy the mushrooms -- that was the most stand out item we ordered.
We planned to order two entrees but were just feeling 'eh' about the entire experience and decided to skip to dessert. Both of the items we were interested in were not available which was super disappointing.
service was pretty good. My one concern is that the tables in the back were pretty close together given current circumstances.
The food was creative and very tasty. The cocktails were delicious. The dessert was outstanding. The outdoor dining was wonderful. And Hugo and the team were impeccable in their service. Our third time to Miami and no doubt this is our favorite place to eat.
We arrived early and had deinks at Broken Shaker (i didnt realise you had to reserve). We managed to get a table in their lovely garden cocktails are Amazing!! We had dinner at 27 which was delicious so fresh it was great to see their vegetable garden in the grounds. Food is innovative fresh and tasty. Organic wines do not give you a hangover 👏. Loved the place!!
They started out strong but it was a slow steady slide from there on. Incredible setting and music selection. Our cocktails were amazing and our waiter was engaging and enthusiastic.
Our first dish with pork and plantains was out of this world and set up our hopes for more.
The second, cauliflower with curry, labne and pomegranate seeds was interesting but honestly, the flavors were so strong that you could hardly tell you were eating cauliflower.
Last, we opted for the whole fish selection and neglected to ask what the market price was. Well, what came out was a whole snapper which had been cut into chunks and been heavily breaded and deep fried. It was literally fish sticks. And it cost $75. Total let down.
And then our waiter disappeared for 30min. Getting the check was a hassle. Needless to say, we didn't opt for dessert. Might be worth a try, but I’d stick to the drinks and small plates.
We are in the area for the week and decided to give 27 a try after reading mostly positive reviews. We both enjoyed a lemon based cocktail which was delicious, falafel, and mussels for the entree. The cocktails and food were great. Giving 3 stars because our dessert was forgotten and the server neglected to check back after courses to ensure that we had everything we needed. We were disappointed due to the lack of good service we expected to come along with this price point and good reviews.
Amazing service and the food was great. The best part, however, was the overall atmosphere and vibe. 27 is what food is all about.
Disappointing. Made a reservation at 27 for 2 via Open Table, nowhere given the chance/ choice, for selecting an outdoor table. Arrived at 7:30 pm on time, with 4 empty tables outside, we were not allowed to use any, even after repeated request. “The are all reserved”. Two outside tables available at 9 pm when we left.
The whole fried fish we were offered, was not available.
Having a nice conversation with my friend, waiter kept visiting the table in an annoying manner, almost inviting us to leave.
Very warm atmosphere and interesting food. Extremely well furnished!
A very pleasant experience
Once again jimmy and the crew were amazing from the FOH to the waiters . Food is totally on point .
Charming garden and atmosphere with a creative menu and good music
Beautiful place, incredibly fresh/local food. Always where I take ppl from out of town. The Crudo, the Oyster Mushrooms w Malawach, Falafel & Dumplings are amazing! Especially that Malawach!
Love the international, relaxed, bohemian atmosphere with delicious and inventive food that is effortless.
All great! Brittany at the front, Hugo taking care of our table, and AC at the Broken Shaker afterwards..... an excellent evening, great food and drinks and outstanding service!
Amazing food and ambience. Highly recommend. Will return
Awesome to order many dishes and share
We came here two nights in a row, first for food and second for dessert. The food was amazing. The desserts and service weren’t.
The short ribs were so tender and sauce was perfect for the ribs. However, they came with raw cauliflower and slaw (not good). Who eats raw cauliflower? How much raw cauliflower do you throw away at the end of the night???
The kimchi fried rice was delicious and crudo was absolutely amazing. The flavors were complex and went together perfectly. Shrink shumi- just order them!!!
Go somewhere else for dessert- definitely not worth the $30 we spend for two desserts. I was dreaming about the brûlée figs. However, they came with a huge pile of goat cheese and 5 small pieces of figs. The figs were not bruleed at all. The brownie was not anything to write home about.
They force you to pay a 20% service fee and it was obvious that our server expected that fee without caring about the service. HJaubert came to take our order thats the only time we saw him. We had to get up from the table and ask the busser for our check. The bussers did all the work and were attentive in clearing our plates. The second night, the service was essentially non existent (same server).
I would give the food 5 stars and server zero stars.
Amazing the chef as always steps it up every visit.
Love this place. Great energy, really good outdoor space that felt COVID-safe, had great food and wine (esp. the salad), and ambience is cool consistent with rest of the Broken Shaker/Freehand space.
Went twice, the first time everything was good, but the second time the hostess was extremely rude and unwilling to accommodate the previously requested outdoor table while seating other guests outdoors. I understand if there was no availability, but there was and the way she was extremely rude was frankly unacceptable
We had a beautiful experience at the 27 Restaurant! We were warmly greeted by the host who took great care of us and made sure that we were comfortable and safe, following the current time guidelines. Service and ambiance were uplifting and smooth, food was delicious. Very good explanation about the composition of our dishes. Drinks were stellar! Will definitely return and recommend to friends!
What a great restaurant! The food was delicious, the service very very good and the atmosphere is fun. A great way to start any evening. Highly recommended!
The mushroom oyster dish was delicious but too oily. While I enjoyed it a lot it gave me a stomach upset.
The rustic chairs and tables were great to look at but not very comfortable.
bday! great ambiance and food .. also cocktails ❤️📌
All the food was wonderful, but if you’re going there and don’t get the Whole Fried Fish, you’re missing out. It was insanely good!
Delicious food. Great service and nice outdoor seating!
