What Insiders Are Saying
25 Degrees is a solid, dimly-lit burger and beer kind of spot in River North. We approve.
There weals no heat and cold air was blowing throughout the restaurant. Although, it was not really busy, service was very slow.
Very accommodating for large groups. Fun atmosphere with great food!
I always love 25 Degrees, their brunch environment energetic! The menu is unique (with the breakfast quesadilla being my favorite) and the service is fast! Great option for mimosas and bellini's with fresh fruit juice.
Great place with the best burger I have ever eaten. Love the boilermakers and $12 Champagne. Would eat here again and again
Great food and drink! I love this restaurant. I have gone for dinner and brunch and I will absolutely go back for both.
always a good time - staff are friendly and responsive, hamburgers are delicious, comfortable place with great sunday-funday specials
The place was very loud, fun for a boozy brunch. They had tons of food options but the burgers were definitely the star of the menu.
Love the $12 champagne bottles. & the breakfast burger was on point! 😊
Absolutely horrible experience. Booked a reservation for a large group. Half of the food came out and the other have came out 30 MINUTES LATER. It was awful. Then we asked for a refund on the food that was late since the other people were already done eating by the time it came out and all they took off was a $5 beer. THEN they added an automatic 20% tip which she did NOT deserve. Maybe 10 percent max. This was a terrible experience and we will not be coming back here.
I used to like 25 Degrees but did not have a good experience this time. My husband and I arrived at 5:30pm on a Sunday and were the only table ordering food in the entire restaurant. Typically that means that the service is extremely attentive however they messed up the toppings and cook temperature of my burger. When we asked about it, they told us we didn't order that topping. Rather than fight with us, why not bring out the topping so we could add it ourselves? The burger was supposed to be medium, but came out dry and overcooked at a solid "well done". I will not be returning to 25 Degrees. There are too many good burger places in Chicago.
Went to meet my daughter and have a great burger and a good draft. Was a perfect place for that goal.
Probably one of the best burgers I've had in Chicago! The fries could have been better, but I'd stack the burger against Au Cheval.
Definitely not a place for Afternoon Tea although a great place for a beer anytime. The atmosphere is "authentic" for sure...an authentic Chicago bar experience with great burgers. Definitely not a California fern bar. The burgers are simply the best, the fries great, the homemade milkshakes actually homemade. The crowd are nice people and the service very friendly even though sometimes harried at times. You will not be disappointed.
VERY loud but great food.
Great food but some issues with service (errors in orders, issue splitting the bill). Music was too loud for conversation across the table.
Despite our long wait with a reservation the burgers were great. The manage, or who we believed to be the manager, was accommodating and apologized for our wait and thanked us for our patience with a complimentary bottle of champagne for our mimosas. The burgers were the perfect size and cooked exactly as requested. The half sweet potatoes and half traditional fries were also delicious. Although the setting is low lighting it gives a great mysterious diner vibe. Large half circle booths provide privacy and the large center bar also provides pleanty of seating.
Great service, great champagne special for brunch and great food!!
Menu is largely comprised of giant burgers, so you better be ready for them
This place was really awesome I have been here a couple times now and I always leave stuffed and happy.
Made a special trip to try this restaurant for brunch and it did not disappoint! It had a very cool and unexpected old Hollywood but hip vibe, the staff was very energetic and genuinely seemed happy to be there. The food was very good. The place was packed which made it a bit noisy but not terrible as we were still able to hold a conversation. Would definitely return!
We were celebrating a birthday and decided to come for their Sunday mimosa special! The food and drinks were wonderful and the atmosphere was energetic & fun. My only complaint was they had very “attentive” busboys who’d continuously take plates we weren’t really done with or would pick up the champagne bottles that weren’t quite empty without asking. I am all for an uncluttered table, but checking to make sure we want our plates removed or we actually want more champagne poured never hurts!
So much fun at this restaurant. Great to go with a group of friends.
The Hamburger and the fries were outstanding. Great atmosphere and service. Good beer choice. Highly recommended.
Awesome vibe, menu that exceeds expectations, service is spot on.
Dare I say this is as good, if not better, of a burger joint in Chicago as the fabled au cheval.....YES, I will enthusiastically.
The burger I enjoyed was as perfect as I’ve had, anywhere. Can’t wait to go back and try more soon.
Make a reservation and go.
Good service !
We had an early afternoon Saturday reservation. The location itself is great and for the area, you cannot beat the value. Unfortunately, the service was not great. We had to get our own silverware after asking the waitress three times. Additionally, we had to go to the bar to get a water glass.
Brunch with the girls. Full bottles of champagne and get to pour your own. Amazing!
great food, great service, great ambiance
We were most certainly the oldest people there... by a lot...
Nevertheless, the very youthful staff could not have been nicer, more thoughtful or more efficient. The place was rocking and while we generally do not seek out such a lively venue we honestly feel that this particular spot went above and beyond the call of duty to see that we had a nice time, at which point the noise level became a non-issue. We will surely go back, taking friends, kids, etc. We very much enjoyed our food, the mimosas and the energy.
Thank you for a lovely time!
Our waitress (her name has escaped me) was amazing. I went there with a group of friends last Sunday. The number in the group kept fluctuating from the time I made the reservation but they were so helpful and accommodating. My burger (the number 6) was great and our waitress was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed.
The brunch deal is great too! For $10 per bottle and a variety of mixers you really can't beat it. I do wish their menu was a bit more expansive but everyone seemed happy with their orders so no complaints here!
25 Degrees was okay. I think the burger lacked flavor despite toppings. It was extremely loud as well. The music was good. The bathrooms are clean.
This place was fabulous. We are stoked that we discovered it and it was a perfect spot to meet up with some of our friends. The food was delicious, the decor is fun, and the service was great. Can't wait to go back.
Overall great experience and good food.
Terrible service, hostess flat out rude. Had to wait 45 mins despite having a reservation. Was served a RAW chicken wing. Told waitress who brushed it off and left it on the table, no replacement, nothing. Pretty disappointing
Amazing burgers and nachos! Unique decor and great ambiance! Would definitely go back.
Great hamburgers and onion rings. Loved the atmosphere.
Great service and great experience!
Always a great brunch spot. My date was impressed and wants us to return again soon!
Fun atmosphere and great build your own burger options! The burgers are amazing and the salads and fries are great too.
