We had the prime rib buffet. The rib was excellent. The sides were not, not too mamy choices and bland flavors.
Also when I made the reservation I said it was for my husbands 50 birthday and asked to do something special like a candle on the desert but nothing was done. So that was very disappointing.
Food was delicious, great service and great environment. We will definitely be back!
Really good food! Just was expecting more upscale. But with its location and large area to fill. Customers wearing wet swim shorts are welcome. Times are changing.
Awesome Saturday night Prime Rib, Crab Legs, and Seafood buffet. Priced very reasonable, you won’t go hungry. My only complaint was that there was not any warm vegetable dishes.

My wife and I visited Abbey Resort for a special occasion. We dined only at 240 west because of the excellent service and great menu. We will be back and we highly recommend! The manager, Adnand, went out of his way to seat us quickly and in the best possible table available. Overall a great experience.
Slow service and maybe 7 tables of customers. Sat at 530, ordered at 5:45. Didn’t leave until 7:45pm. So slow!
We did the champagne brunch. It was so awful!! Food just bad, almost all of it inedible save for the waffles and omelette was ok. The "champagne" was screw top and hard to drink even mixed with orange juice. Will skip this place all together if we stay at resort again.
Outstanding service. Attentive without being overbearing. Recommend whiskey, rye, and bourbon pairing with assorted chocolates for desert. Very interesting juxtaposition of flavors.
Girls weekend and it was nice. We all the champagne brunch. Lots of options but nothing special.
Server Jamie was awesome despite being very busy on a Sunday morning. She was pleasant and good.
A couple stations need improvement. The waffle maker needs another waffle maker. There’s only one machine so there is a long line
Also, can’t have tongs for poached eggs; they break. Hence why you probably go through many hotel pans of the poached eggs

2 of my adult kids birthdays. Also had Grandkids. Nice variety of quality food choices. Food prep people and our server were so engaging and fun. Musician who plays both trumpet and piano ( at the same time!) was very good and spent time with my musician Grandson. We have a home in Fontana and have had up and down experiences at the Abbey in the past. Over the last 18 mos- 2 years they have really picked up their game in all their offerings. We find ourselves there more often. Brunch was great.
On a girls spa weekend and we all had a lovely time at this restaurant. Our server was outstanding. He knew about all the items on the menu, gave honest suggestions, and answered all of our questions. The food and wine were delicious and I thought fairly priced for the type of restaurant it was. We will be back!
Lovely piano playing in the background while we ate. The ambiance was cozy and romantic we faced the waterfront. We did do the prime rib buffet and loved the oysters, crab legs, and desserts. The prime rib portion I chose was a bit fatty but it looked like most people were enjoying it. Staff was excellent and I would highly recommend reserving a space to ensure there is no wait.
We dined here two evenings while staying at the Abbey Resort. Our steaks were terrific and the raw bar was very good. The Saturday night prime rib buffet was also good. They have a nice wine selection and the service was good and friendly.

We made a reservation for 8:00. They told us the table was not quite ready yet upon our 7:55 arrival. We were told to wait in the bar and they would come get us when our reservation was ready. (There were plenty of open tables at 7:55). In the bar we met a few people that were waiting for their 8:30 reservations. I went back up to the hostess at 8:15 and was told to continue to wait in the bar as they were not quite ready. At 8:30, after the people we met in the bar had been seated, and the people in front of us in line whom just walked up to the counter with no reservation were seated, we were given one of the open tables right next to the hostess stand with no apology or care for the fact we were being seated a whole half hour late.
Our waitress, Carole, was great and the food was excellent! This made the experience a little better, despite my POINTLESS reservation.
Stayed at the Abbey for 1 night and ate at 240 west. We opted for the prime rib buffet, which included crab legs, both of which were delicious! Been coming to the Abbey for years. Its a great spot, lovely room and pianist with fireplaces and pretty views of Lake Geneva! Ate here from breakfast too, both of our servers were outstanding! Very attentive and bought us drinks on the house! We'll be back!
The food was very good, our server was very friendly but it was a very slow meal service. It took two hours and that was without apps or dessert. I’ll be back but will make sure it’s when I have nothing else going on.
We started off with a great experience, but as the restaurant got busy our waiter was not following up and we through last part of dinner and desert without a check in. Missed having coffee with my desert ended up just getting check with was a long process as well to get and then also to wait for paying.
I get it’s busy but it’s Saturday should have been staffed properly if that was the issue.
Food was just okay, nothing outstanding. Service was fine.

Waitress had little knowledge of what was offered. They served Lox and Bagels w/ no cream cheese!! Who does that!
We were here for the breakfast buffet on Christmas Day and considering the reviews, we were a little dissapointed. The food was okay - typical breakfast fare (sausage, bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs) and then prime rib, fruit and vegetable salads, belgian waffles and cakes. The prime rib was great. Also enjoyed the omelette station. The guys serving the prime rib and waffles were a hoot and looked like they were having a jolly old time.
The restaurant was amazing! Such a relaxing atmosphere. Elegant yet comfortable at the same time. Our waiter, Edward, was professional and knowledgeable and very accommodating to special requests. We will definitely be back again to try some more of the menu!
We have been dining at this location for many years, we decided to return for Christmas Eve dinner. The on-line menu listed full menu plus a select 4-course meal. When we arrived we were told there was only the 4-course meal (and children’s menu). The service was slow and painful, the portions were meager at best and the staff informed us, after the menu switch, there was not bread service. What?
It was Christmas Eve, no options to leave, so we endured two hours of poor service and food.

We celebrated our 40 anniversary at the Abbey. Decided to eat at 240 West having never been there. We were so pleased that the food was delicious, reasonably priced and the service made us feel special. Our server was amazing. She even brought us 2 glasses of champagne! I would definitely recommend!
Came for the oysters and seafood on the Saturday night buffet. Loved everything - only thing is the oysters could have been a little fresher. Still, it was most enjoyable, and relaxing. Our waiter was the best waiter I have come across in a very long time! He knew the menu like no other, along with offering specials and upselling, and was most polite, very nice, proper, helpful, and I wish I knew his name to tell you because he should be commended. I know how difficult it is to get good or even great service these days so keep this nice young man - he's one of the best, you're lucky to have him! We sat by the window, a table of four which included a four year old girl and our whole experience was terrific. Thank you!
The Saturday night Prime Rib Buffet was fantastic, and I never even had any Prime Rib. It was all good, but my most favorites were the salt encrusted baked potatoes, crab legs, salad bar with the fresh walnuts and the Best Pecan pie I’ve ever eaten.
We make an annual trip each year to this restaurant for Sunday Brunch to see Santa, listen to the amazing piano player ( who can play the piano and trumpet at the same time), and have a great meal. It's our family tradition before heading out after brunch to cut down our Christmas tree at a nearby place. The brunch has always been delicious with a variety of foods including an omelette station, carving station, sweets table and hot and cold entrees. Santa is there to talk to the kids in a relaxed atmosphere and each child receives a candy cane from him too. I can't speak about brunch at other times of the year. Menu options are also available as well as the brunch. The dining room overlooks their harbor and Lake Geneva which is pretty.
We were celebrating our anniversary & were looking forward to a slow paced dinner. When we arrived at the hostess stand there were 3-4 young staff members engaged in a personal discussion. It took several moments to get their attention. Our waiter was very nice but wanted to rush us through our dinner due to the late hour, 8:00PM, of our reservation, the restaurant closed at 10:00PM. We informed him that we would like a few moments to enjoy our drinks. The drinks were watered down w/ little flavor. My cosmo had so much water in it that the water was actually floating as a layer on top. We ordered the Prime Rib buffet, which included snow crab legs, fish, baked potatoes, pasta, salad, cheese bar, oysters on the 1/2 shell, & dessert bar. The lettuce was wilted, the cheese had been out so long that it was dry, the oyster bar had barely enough ice to keep the oysters cool, the items on the main buffet were barely warm & the desserts were dry & tasted old. The prime rib itself was good & the gentleman at the carving station was very funny.
It was our first visit. We came to celebrate my birthday and were not disappointed. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The server certainly knows the menu and his suggestions were helpful. Everyone enjoyed his or her meal. The Chilean Sea Bass was perhaps the best I've had. It was our first visit, but not our last.
The food was delicious, love the peach and goat cheese starter salad, very unique combination of flavors. Had the divers scallops which were as usual delicious. Nice wine selection, great service.
When we arrived we were told that our server would be with us shortly and to be patient because they were busy(the restaurant was barely half full). It took 15 mins for our waiter to come to our table. When I️ asked the server what beers they had on tap he was fairly snippy when he told me they do not have beer on tap. Then seemed annoyed when I️ asked what beer they had in bottles. After ordering, it took almost 45 minutes for us to get our soup, salad and our apatizer. At this point my son(a toddler) was losing his composure so we asked to take it to go and for the bill. Once again our server seemed very annoyed. Finally when I️ tried to pay with a Visa prepaid card I️ was told they don’t take gift cards. Needless to say, I️ would never consider revisiting this restaurant.
Medallions were burnt not charred. Tasted burnt. It was taken off of the bill, of course, but a manager never came over. Waiter asked us about anything we were celebrating (50th birthday) and he did nothing for it!
