    Generally, the overall experience was fine. Unfortunately, only the breakfast buffet was available and it was quite poor quality food. Everything was dry (and usually I complain that Wisconsin restaurants make everything too greasy). Most the food tasted like mass-produced frozen foods, like would be served on a college campus. Our server was very attentive and personable.

    We had dinner Saturday evening. I have been there many times and always enjoyed the dining room at the Abbey. I was so surprised at the changes in the menu. I was much smaller and much more pricey than I remembered, I felt it was VERY limited and quite frankly overpriced. The food was good, but portions small. We had Gustavo as our server, he was very attentive and we felt well taken care of. He made good suggestions. He was rushed at the end of our meal as his shift was ending. My C Card was charged inappropriately , I was charged for the full meal instead of just my part or the bill! It kind of ruined my evening as I was concerned about the cost. When I woke up the next morning, I saw a credit on my account and the correct amount charged. which was a relief. Honestly, the nest time I stay at the Abbey, I will look for another restaurant nearby for dinner. Hopefully there will be some changes as I noticed the restaurant was fairly empty which is unusual for a Saturday night.

    Delicious dinner was really impressed with the Friday steak and lobster special. We were stuffed and out sweet waitress let us bring desert back to our room. My boyfriend got the burger with Brie which he loved. Bread basket was also delicious. Can’t wait to be back!

    The food was all either over or under seasoned. For the price, it was just surprising the food was pretty mediocre. Also, this is the first time ever that we've put that we're celebrating in a reservation and nothing happened. Just kind of a bummer.

    Servers were friendly and helpful. Shrimp and Calamari were over cooked, the salad was missing items and when asked was told they’re out and the entrees were just okay. Beautiful views and restaurant, our expectations were high and they were not met.

    We’ve eaten here each time we come to the Abbey Resort. Our steaks were excellent as usual, done exactly as ordered. The bread is delicious. The reason for my “good” rating is that the mashed potatoes were not served hot and were a bit runny and the mushrooms had no flavor.

    I didn't need reservations. There was only one other table with customers besides my table. I put in my reservations that there was a special occasion that night.... it was celebrating my birthday. The waitress was very friendly. My dinner was bad. The garlic mash potatoes had no flavor, the chicken milanecse was dry, & the Ceasars salad was not made correctly. I did complain to the Manger and he did take the cost of the meal off my bill. I was very disappointed. I would NOT be returning to this restaurant. They charge a lot for the meals and think customers will eat anything that they put on the plate....😡

    We went there with our daughter and her husband. Three of us got the Pappardelle, and it was extremely salty, and not much short rib meat (you had to really hunt for the meat), with a disgusting sauce. We were told this was a popular meal, but it was almost uneatable, and my wife eventually sent it back. My son-in-law ordered a $50.00 steak medium rare and it came out well done, though he enjoyed his meal. We came here a year ago, and it was amazing, what happened? We also had to wait an extremely long time for our main course. A Lot of money for a mediocre meal!

    Excellent service, delicious food, beautiful interior, beautiful view(*if you're near a window, and live music that was outstanding. The piano player performed a variety of tunes with amazing skill. Certain songs he played trumpet with one hand, and piano with the other! Our food and dessert were plated beautifully. It was a great experience! I would highly recommend!

    I had a gut feeling that eating here out of season would be iffy. Ate here this summer and it was great. Good food, great service. This time the food was not even of average quality. The service was still great.

    You have NO usual foods like Grilled or Baked chicken Hot Beefs A Spaghetti dish and the like. Nothing to draw anyone in for a second experience at this restaurant. Would not come back. Went into town.

    My friend and I stayed at the resort and had dinner here Sunday and Monday night. Both nights the food and service were wonderful. Between the two nights we enjoyed great wine selection, soup and salads, warm bread and entrees of beef filet and salmon. The tiramisu was also amazing, and so beautifully presented with berries and cream. And the view - the best ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you.

    The service was so slow even though the restaurant is only half full. It took two hours for dinner. The meal was quite expensive and just average food. The air conditioning must have been broken because they had fans running. I’m glad we weren’t there when it was hot outside! I would not go back. There is a reason you can always get last minute reservations at 240 west. It’s overpriced and a below average experience.

    My wife and I stayed at the The Abbey Resort and were very much looking forward to our dinner at 240° which was her 60th birthday celebration. I had the prime rib special which included a Caesar salad, shrimp cocktail, and the main course of prime rib ($55). My wife had the Chilean sea bass ($48). To start, the Caesar salad was served with bread crumbs sprinkled on top rather than croutons. It was also served with tomatoes, normally not found on a Caesar salad. It was an interesting twist, but it was very small and difficult to eat and was not that tasty. The shrimp cocktail was very plentiful with eight good sized shrimp served with fresh lemon. However, the shrimp was overcooked and tough. The cocktail sauce was very good. The prime rib was very good, although I had ordered it medium rare and it came out medium. Even so, it was tasty and tender and was a rather large portion. I also ordered an Old Fashioned cocktail ($14). The cocktail was not good at all. It came with small pieces of ice on the rocks, rather than one large piece of ice which is the traditional way of serving it. Old Fashioneds are also meant to be sipped, so after a while the whisky became watered down. It also came with an orange slice rather than the rind and a basic maraschino cherry rather than a Luxardo maraschino cherry. My wife said her sea bass was very good, but it was a very small portion. Her broccoli had yellow tips indicating that it was old or over ripe. It was probably over ripe as it had a bitter taste as did the zucchini according to my wife. At the prices charged for the dinner and the hype given this restaurant, I really expected the food to be much much better. The waitress was very attentive and nice. Kudos to her. I would not recommend 240°.

    Unfortunately, the air conditioning was out, and loud fans were blowing on the tables to keep everybody comfortable. I am grateful for that, but it was very loud. It seems as if they were short staffed in service took a long time, but our waiter was very friendly and polite, the food was mediocre. The prices were not expected more for my meal. No salad with the entrée nor was I asked if I wanted one as for my bread it never came. I feel like organizationally there was a problem.

    The service (James was our server )and ambiance were exceptional! The food was ok. We had NY steak, Eggplant Napoleon and Chicken Milanese. The last option was sub par. The calamari and charcuterie board were phenomenal.

    With a new emphasis on management and service this could be a good restaurant. The location is great and some of the food was good. But the service and the sense of what it means to deliver good value was totally lacking. For example: Could we get a mocktail? No, but there was a full bar in the next room. It took forever for the main course to come and our server let us know that 2 dishes were cooked and we were just waiting for the third to be cooked - that took about a half hour. The burger that had been cooked a half hour earlier was not just overcooked but the bun had become rock hard in the intervening half hour. If they manage the restaurant better it could be a very nice place.
