I had a gut feeling that eating here out of season would be iffy. Ate here this summer and it was great. Good food, great service. This time the food was not even of average quality. The service was still great.

You have NO usual foods like Grilled or Baked chicken Hot Beefs A Spaghetti dish and the like. Nothing to draw anyone in for a second experience at this restaurant. Would not come back. Went into town.

My friend and I stayed at the resort and had dinner here Sunday and Monday night. Both nights the food and service were wonderful. Between the two nights we enjoyed great wine selection, soup and salads, warm bread and entrees of beef filet and salmon. The tiramisu was also amazing, and so beautifully presented with berries and cream. And the view - the best ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you.

The service was so slow even though the restaurant is only half full. It took two hours for dinner. The meal was quite expensive and just average food. The air conditioning must have been broken because they had fans running. I’m glad we weren’t there when it was hot outside! I would not go back. There is a reason you can always get last minute reservations at 240 west. It’s overpriced and a below average experience.

My wife and I stayed at the The Abbey Resort and were very much looking forward to our dinner at 240° which was her 60th birthday celebration. I had the prime rib special which included a Caesar salad, shrimp cocktail, and the main course of prime rib ($55). My wife had the Chilean sea bass ($48). To start, the Caesar salad was served with bread crumbs sprinkled on top rather than croutons. It was also served with tomatoes, normally not found on a Caesar salad. It was an interesting twist, but it was very small and difficult to eat and was not that tasty. The shrimp cocktail was very plentiful with eight good sized shrimp served with fresh lemon. However, the shrimp was overcooked and tough. The cocktail sauce was very good. The prime rib was very good, although I had ordered it medium rare and it came out medium. Even so, it was tasty and tender and was a rather large portion. I also ordered an Old Fashioned cocktail ($14). The cocktail was not good at all. It came with small pieces of ice on the rocks, rather than one large piece of ice which is the traditional way of serving it. Old Fashioneds are also meant to be sipped, so after a while the whisky became watered down. It also came with an orange slice rather than the rind and a basic maraschino cherry rather than a Luxardo maraschino cherry. My wife said her sea bass was very good, but it was a very small portion. Her broccoli had yellow tips indicating that it was old or over ripe. It was probably over ripe as it had a bitter taste as did the zucchini according to my wife. At the prices charged for the dinner and the hype given this restaurant, I really expected the food to be much much better. The waitress was very attentive and nice. Kudos to her. I would not recommend 240°.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning was out, and loud fans were blowing on the tables to keep everybody comfortable. I am grateful for that, but it was very loud. It seems as if they were short staffed in service took a long time, but our waiter was very friendly and polite, the food was mediocre. The prices were not expected more for my meal. No salad with the entrée nor was I asked if I wanted one as for my bread it never came. I feel like organizationally there was a problem.

With a new emphasis on management and service this could be a good restaurant. The location is great and some of the food was good. But the service and the sense of what it means to deliver good value was totally lacking. For example: Could we get a mocktail? No, but there was a full bar in the next room. It took forever for the main course to come and our server let us know that 2 dishes were cooked and we were just waiting for the third to be cooked - that took about a half hour. The burger that had been cooked a half hour earlier was not just overcooked but the bun had become rock hard in the intervening half hour. If they manage the restaurant better it could be a very nice place.

Husband and I ordered the steak and lobster. Husband ordered medium and received a steak that was raw. Had to send it back to be cooked longer. Lobster was poor quality and not fully cooked, chewy, parts were inedible. Chocolate tart was delicious but crust was hard as a rock. Described as chocolate and berries, included half of a strawberry.

A very overpriced restaurant. The meals were not good especially the walleye which tasted days old. The papperadelle with beef was listed as their seasonal dish was so oversalted I could barely eat it. The live music was provided by a single musician, who was absolutely fantastic as he played both the piano in the flugelhorn at the same time. I am a former musician, so I must say I was quite impressed with his abilities and performance. That was the only good thing about this meal.

Not there fault but we waited 1.5 hrs and never got our food. We did get some appetizers that were just ok and some dranks.. there was a fire in the kitchen and I guess they were at least trying to fix it and deliver the food. Was kind of expecting a no charge bill and maybe a breakfast valcher. We still got charge for the appitizers and a child’s meal in the amount of $38 no charge for the dranks. So we paid and left a good tip for the server. So we went downstairs to try and get food at around 9:30 pm and after waiting 10 minutes for someone to seat us! The only thing out of her mouth was WELL we close at 10!!!!! So we ordered cheese curds expecting marinara sauce .of course not !!! Sorry we are out 🥸🤪

I have eaten here several times. This time was “meh”. I’ve always enjoyed the baked French onion soup served in a crock. Well… times have changed and you now get half the amount. Menu is also a more limited than it was this winter which was disappointing.

Excellent service, delicious drinks, superb food! We had the lobster ravioli and New York Strip dinners. Both were excellent! Beautiful table with a view of the lake. Tiramisu to go was a great treat. The mixed reviews gave me pause, but we were impressed and will return.

Food was okay. Calamari is a litmus test for us trying a new restaurant. Their Calamari was greasy, as if they just scooped out our of the fryer onto the serving plate. The pappardelle with braised rib was fine.

I had tenderloin. A quarter of it was so fatty i was no able to eat it. I told the waiter he brought the bill, nothing off. I asked them to take off for poor steak. They took off not even $10. Will never go to this restaurant again. The Abby Resort is great and highly recommend. Not the restaurant though. Find another place to eat!

The lamb was ok need more seasoning. But the service was the best we experienced. The server Romeo was excellent he recommended the best drinks. He was friendly sociable and may our whole stay wonderful. The only place we ate at our trip 240 west.
