Beautiful restaurant and food was terrific especially the fresh Tribe Country Farms lettuce. Prime rib was cooked perfectly. Would definitely go back.

We decided to have Christmas dinner here. Not the cleanest, and the host sat us at a table without table settings. By the way, all the other empty tables surrounding us were set. When I asked if we could have the table set, she said she didn't see anything wrong with the table. The food was cold on the buffet. I will not be returning with many other options to eat in the area.

Christmas buffet was excellent!
Staff was so friendly, kind, and efficient.
The pianist and violinist were excellent.
Special thanks to John, who carved the meats, and was so kind and considerate in making sure customers were happy. He was outstanding! Thank you to everyone who was involved with the preparation, service, and maintenance involving Christmas dinner.

Wife’s Ceaser salad had a shard of hard plastic in it, told server, she said spoke to manager who NEVER came to table to see or discuss.. thankfully wife did not swallow it OR end up in hospital.

Was not advertised as a buffet and ended up being one.
Made an 8p reservation that was the only one left and arrived to a nearly empty dining room suggesting we could have been seated at an earlier time.
The food that was on the buffet was picked over by the time we ate: no sushi even with request, had to ask for other dishes that were empty.
My wife was washing her hands in the woman’s bathroom when she was met by a man coming out of the stall behind her…
The manager was informed about all of this and took was gracious with our complaints and took care of us after the experience was over by comping our meal. But the situation showed the lack of talent and prep they have at the Abby Resort where the venue is.

Was not aware of the "buffet" until we arrived. The quality of food was not good for the price. Although there was only two of us and we only ordered two peligrinos from our waitress we were charged a 25.00 gratuity. Our total was $150.00 which would have not been a problem if the food was actually good. There were 3 crab legs left in the "buffet" as well as many other things. I would have rather ordered from the menu which I thought was available but it wasn't than pay for that. It was beyond terrible. We couldn't leave considering it was Christmas Eve and everywhere else was full or closed except for fast food. I also made the reservations 1 month in advance and wish I didn't. I do not recommend to anyone.

Dated restaurant. pack a bag to hike to the buffet tables. Great to see the quality of food on the buffet and the interaction with one of the chefs reminds me of what we experienced on Saturday buffet night 20-25 years ago. the quality of the young seving staff is outstanding. Ice sculptures were beautiful and enhanced the Christmas dinner. nice touch.

Went to celebrate my significant other’s birthday and had a very warm welcome. Our server, Piper, was very attentive, funny, and helpful. We each had one of the steaks and a delicious drink. Finished with a birthday apple cheesecake. Will absolutely be back on our next visit to the area!

We had a fantastic time at 240 West. Our waiter, Jack, was an absolute riot, telling us jokes the entire night and providing the utmost customer service. We had the pre fixe menu, which included soup/salad, a seafood plate, and a prime rib dinner, all of which was absolutely to die for. We sat next to the fireplace with the Christmas tree in the background, making for a romantic and lovely night, all without having to leave the resort. We cannot say enough good things about our 240 West experience!

It was our anniversary and requested a table near the fireplace when we made the reservation. We were put off to the side with no view of the fireplace. There was only one table near the fireplace to seat couples and that was occupied the other tables were for big groups. It would be nice on weekends to have more tables near the fireplace for couples who are celebrating an anniversary or birthday. You also need to get a different piano player. All he did during dinner was play music and took long breaks. We have been to dinner with piano players where they sing softly while they play. Our table was scratched and chipped in places looking very old and well used. You should consider using tablecloths if you're not going to maintain them. On the upside our server Ed was very good. The food was excellent just very disappointed the atmosphere was poor. The Abbey is supposed to be more upscale than other restaurants in the area.

We stay at the Abbey every fall/early winter for a get away before the holidays and to start Christmas shopping in Lake Geneva. Everything has always been wonderful and not to say that this time wasn’t wonderful, but definitely not the same. The manager / maître d’ did a wonderful job and was very busy walking around making sure the few tables were happy and (they must mot have a busser) tables were clean. The server may have needed some extra training although the food was good, fish was over cooked but the sides were fantastic.

We had a great dinner celebration here. Everything was delicious! Two of us had the salmon and two of us had the gnocchi. Both were delicious. We enjoyed the pianist very much. He was fantastic! Our server was really good and very sweet. Two of us were celebrating our 50th birthdays and she brought out two delicious desserts with lit birthday candles. Looking forward to dining here again!

Stood at podium about 3 mins before someone came to greet us. Then we were asked if we had reservations which we did however I didn’t understand how that would matter considering only about 4 parties where in the restaurant at the time. The 1st table we were seated at by the window looking out into the harbor was extremely wobbly and needed to be thrown out. We asked if we could be switched and were obliged. We moved to another table a few spaces down from where we were and it was fine. Very cold though, seemed like you have to sit near fireplace to be warm. The service was fine. Food was overpriced and underwhelming.

I booked this reservation for my dads birthday and the accommodations were well received. The only complaint I had was that the menu we received was stripped down to bare bones. I really wanted to take my dad here because of the wagu steak and it was gone from the menu. I had the Prime Manhattan Filet and it was very tough even though it was cooked to medium rare like I requested. Makes me think that it was frozen for a long time prior to being served. My sister in law’s filet mignon was amazing though! Melted in your mouth like butter. The bacon appetizer was great and my brother’s short ribs had a great review from him. So overall it was a decent experience but for the price of my steak I was expecting a better experience and a larger selection.

I requested a window table for six which was important. On arrival I was told there was a limit of four for a window seat. I should have been told that when I made the reservation. And the service was poor.

Was staying at the Abbey Resort for a weekend away with my kids and we decided to do "fancy" dining one night. My group having four kids wasn't met with annoyance as it often is so that was refreshing. I ordered the ribeye steak and it was excellent. One of the kids ordered the short ribs and she really enjoyed it. The other kids got kid meals and with the exception of one not liking the truffle fries, they ate up everything. Wine and dessert was also good. A little bit into dinner, the piano player started and that was really nice entertainment. The only negative parts were that our server was quite slow. The restaurant wasn't that busy, but perhaps they were short staffed and she had more tables than normal but with having the kids, it's harder to have very long waits. Also, she did not tell us about any specials or make any suggestions for appetizers, dessert, etc. Overall, we had a very nice dinner and will come back.

Calamari was greasy. Our waitress bought over our order of Asparagus and spilled it on our table stating the plate was very hot. She picked it up with her bare hands and placed it back onto the plate. She replaced it with a new order! As she was walking over to our table with the plate a minute later she had a napkin holding the plate as if it were HOT! The Asparagus was cold and so was the plate. Which made us to believe she took the same order she spilled and put it on a new plate! Not cool. Our N.Y. Strip was undercooked to a medium rare when we had ordered it Med. Well. Wife was afraid to send it back so ate around it and not the center. The Manager did remove this order so that made it better.. We won't be eating here again any time soon. To expensive and quality of the food was Okay...

The restaurant was not especially busy when we arrived. There were only 3 servers working very hard to accommodate the diners. Serving was very slow. I can’t blame the servers, I blame management for short staffing not only the servers, but the cooking staff. Dinner was very slow to be served. Potato only was edible at ends, main body hard as a rock. lobster was undercooked and tasteless and the steak was knot very tender, but seasoned well. Overall the meal was pricey. One glowing point was the salad.

Ambiance was the same as eating in a cafeteria. Not very relaxing.
