Nice relaxed atmosphere with a good pianist. With the cost of dinner neither soup nor salad was included. Dessert was good, but overall menu was limited.
We stay at the Abbey every fall/early winter for a get away before the holidays and to start Christmas shopping in Lake Geneva. Everything has always been wonderful and not to say that this time wasn’t wonderful, but definitely not the same. The manager / maître d’ did a wonderful job and was very busy walking around making sure the few tables were happy and (they must mot have a busser) tables were clean. The server may have needed some extra training although the food was good, fish was over cooked but the sides were fantastic.
Pretty good food, for cost was a little small on portions.
The place has a rustic feel with views of the lake! Service was entertaining from Jack and the food superb! Loved the experience of the Abbey Resort!

We had a great dinner celebration here. Everything was delicious! Two of us had the salmon and two of us had the gnocchi. Both were delicious. We enjoyed the pianist very much. He was fantastic! Our server was really good and very sweet. Two of us were celebrating our 50th birthdays and she brought out two delicious desserts with lit birthday candles. Looking forward to dining here again!
Stood at podium about 3 mins before someone came to greet us. Then we were asked if we had reservations which we did however I didn’t understand how that would matter considering only about 4 parties where in the restaurant at the time. The 1st table we were seated at by the window looking out into the harbor was extremely wobbly and needed to be thrown out. We asked if we could be switched and were obliged. We moved to another table a few spaces down from where we were and it was fine. Very cold though, seemed like you have to sit near fireplace to be warm. The service was fine. Food was overpriced and underwhelming.
The service and the food was excellent. Drinks were also good.
I booked this reservation for my dads birthday and the accommodations were well received. The only complaint I had was that the menu we received was stripped down to bare bones. I really wanted to take my dad here because of the wagu steak and it was gone from the menu. I had the Prime Manhattan Filet and it was very tough even though it was cooked to medium rare like I requested. Makes me think that it was frozen for a long time prior to being served. My sister in law’s filet mignon was amazing though! Melted in your mouth like butter. The bacon appetizer was great and my brother’s short ribs had a great review from him. So overall it was a decent experience but for the price of my steak I was expecting a better experience and a larger selection.
I requested a window table for six which was important. On arrival I was told there was a limit of four for a window seat. I should have been told that when I made the reservation. And the service was poor.

Service, atmosphere, and location was amazing. However, the food tasted rather plain to me (i ordered the egg white omelete with fruit and toast). It tasted very watery for some reason, with little to no flavor...

Was staying at the Abbey Resort for a weekend away with my kids and we decided to do "fancy" dining one night. My group having four kids wasn't met with annoyance as it often is so that was refreshing. I ordered the ribeye steak and it was excellent. One of the kids ordered the short ribs and she really enjoyed it. The other kids got kid meals and with the exception of one not liking the truffle fries, they ate up everything. Wine and dessert was also good. A little bit into dinner, the piano player started and that was really nice entertainment. The only negative parts were that our server was quite slow. The restaurant wasn't that busy, but perhaps they were short staffed and she had more tables than normal but with having the kids, it's harder to have very long waits. Also, she did not tell us about any specials or make any suggestions for appetizers, dessert, etc. Overall, we had a very nice dinner and will come back.
Calamari was greasy. Our waitress bought over our order of Asparagus and spilled it on our table stating the plate was very hot. She picked it up with her bare hands and placed it back onto the plate. She replaced it with a new order! As she was walking over to our table with the plate a minute later she had a napkin holding the plate as if it were HOT! The Asparagus was cold and so was the plate. Which made us to believe she took the same order she spilled and put it on a new plate! Not cool. Our N.Y. Strip was undercooked to a medium rare when we had ordered it Med. Well. Wife was afraid to send it back so ate around it and not the center. The Manager did remove this order so that made it better.. We won't be eating here again any time soon. To expensive and quality of the food was Okay...
The restaurant was not especially busy when we arrived. There were only 3 servers working very hard to accommodate the diners. Serving was very slow. I can’t blame the servers, I blame management for short staffing not only the servers, but the cooking staff. Dinner was very slow to be served. Potato only was edible at ends, main body hard as a rock. lobster was undercooked and tasteless and the steak was knot very tender, but seasoned well. Overall the meal was pricey. One glowing point was the salad.
Ambiance was the same as eating in a cafeteria. Not very relaxing.

The food we had for dinner was terrible; none of us finished our dinner. I had chicken breast with grilled shrimp and gnocchi. The cheese gnocchi covered the entire plate. The chicken breast was burned on one side. The shrimp was fine. One of our guests had halibut which was underdone and not good. He did not finish it, which is very unusual for a halibut dish. Overall, this was about the worst food we've had a an expensive restaurant.
We were there for an anniversary celebration. My wife had the halibut and I the filet. Both were good, not great. The service was very good and attentive. We would eat there again.

We had a very disappointing visit to 240 Degrees West, unfortunately. We were seated promptly upon arrival. Then, we waited a bit, but honestly not too long, until we were offered beverages. The drinks were brought out and our order was taken. This is the last time we saw our waitress for at least 45 minutes. Someone else brought out our food and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for the wine list. She brought it and rushed off, without even asking if I wanted anything from the list to drink. And our waitress was still nowhere to be found. I mean, we saw her at her other two tables, but she certainly never checked back in on us. Our water glasses were empty and we quite literally had nothing to drink for the first 10-15 minutes of eating our meal. It was awful.
As for the food, most of it was fine, but I would NOT recommend the calamari. Ours was oily and greasy, not nearly cooked enough.
Overall, I was very disappointed by this restaurant, especially after having read some positive reviews. Maybe they were having an off night, but we won’t be returning.
My wife's order was messed up. they brought her the surf and turf special instead of the filet she ordered. There was way too much ice in my Old Fashioned (3/4 of an inch above the booze) so it was watered down. I ordered the halibut. It was very good except I didn't like the beet root risotto on which it came. It was way too rich for a light fish like halibut and I couldn't finish it. I had calamari as a starter. It was probably 2/3 tentacles' and one third rings. The tentacles were in a large clump on the plate and I had to cut them apart with a knife. Service was as slow as every other place we've been to lately. Had a nice view of the harbor. Overall it wasn't bad, but it was nothing special. 2 apps, 2 entrees, 2 cocktails and a glass of wine were $147.
The staff is excellent. Atmosphere is very very comfortable and pleasing to the eye.

Waited 20 minutes at the host stand to be seated for our 7pm reservation before we saw any sort of employee wandering around. When we flagged down the server and told them we had a reservation and had been waiting to be seated he said Ummm yah you are gonna have to wait because we only have two people working. What a waste of time. We drove in for THIS?? We ended up leaving.

It was very warm ( around 82 degrees) in the restaurant and it was only 70 degrees outside at the time. Making the meal unpleasant. Main course was good, but overpriced. Fillet came with only mashed potatoes, no soup or salad.

We are in the area celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary. Our evening dinner at 240 West was a very enjoyably experience, food was excellent and came quickly.
Our waiter, Ed was very relaxed and helpful, surprised us with a couple of flutes of champagne.
Andre was friendly, explained menu items, checked on us in a timely manner. Overall very nice experience
