We arrived for our reservation and had to wait 10 minutes to be seated after that things were good
Thank you for your review and feedback. Eliza Chef/Owner
I highly recommend this charming tiny home filled with art, but be aware the food was wonderful, and expensive!
Thank you for your lovely review. Eliza Chef/Owner
One of our favorites in Telluride.
Thank you for your nice review. I love your user name. Eliza Chef/Owner
One of stops every time we're in Telluride. The food is always excellent.
Thank you for your continued patronage. Eliza Chef/Owner
Innovative and creative food and creative combinations. Interesting, but sometimes too much. Love the Marshall Noice paintings and pastels.
Thank you for your feedback. It is much appreciated. Eliza Chef/Owner
Fabulous! The blueberry muffins to start out are the best. Loved the eggs Benedict and chillequilles
Thank you for enjoying our brunch. Eliza Chef/Owner
I wish 221 would do Sunday Brunch year round . The Food was excellent and service was excellent as always
Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food!
Thank you for your visit. Eliza Chef/Owner
One of the best meals we've enjoyed in a long time! The food was creative and tasty, and the service was excellent . The Chef deserves accolades for the choice, presentation and delivery of an superb meal. A surprising aspect of our experience was the cost, it was far less than we had anticipated! The only regret we have is that we didn't go back there for our second night in town, since the other restaurant didn't measure up to our expectations. Next time we wouldn't hesitate to dine there more than once while visiting Telluride!
Thank you for your lovely review. Eliza Chef/Owner
Beautiful selection. Overpriced but good.
Thank you for you feedback. It is truly appreciated. Eliza Chef/Owner
Service seemed a bit sporadic. Having multiple servers was not smooth.
We were very disappointed to hear the table next to us being offered dessert specials that were not mentioned to us prior to ordering dessert.
Thank you for your feedback. We strive to improve and constructive criticism helps immensely. Eliza Chef/Owner
Incredible menu and great service. Will continue to return as often as possible! Creative appetizers and delicious entrees. Best salmon we've ever had. And amazing cocktails!
Thanks for the great review! Eliza Chef/Owner
What a great restaurant! From start to finish - everything was just super. Rachel, our server, was knowledgeable and very attentive. The burrata salad special was truly special. I didn’t want to stop eating it. Dinner... another home run - I had halibut, hubs had trout, our friends had osso buco and the chicken. Everything was delicious- we’ll be back for sure.
Thank you for your review. Although we appreciate constructive criticism, praise is welcome as well. Thank you, Eliza Chef/owner
Love eating here- the chef is so creative and everything is fabulous!
Thank you for your support! Eliza
Took friends here and everyone had a wonderful meal! Impressive small restaurant in Telluride!
Thank you for coming. Eliza
PERFECTION! Visited 221 South Oak a few nights ago after we got engaged that morning. The staff was beyond happy for us and even walked up the street to take a photo for us and provided a complimentary champagne toast. Truly felt we were dining among close family and friends with how wonderful the staff treated us. Then, my goodness, the food was phenomenal! Certainly can't go wrong here... will DEFINITELY be back!
It was such an honor having you for such a momentous occasion.
Trang did a great job managing my allergies and the chef created a terrific meal for Drew and me.
Thank you for the review!
We always eat at this wonderful restaurant at least 6 times a year. We have never been disappointed. Food, wine and service is wonderful. A must when in Telluride.
We love having you!!!
Everything was stellar, as always. Thoroughly enjoyed the Plavic Mali.
Manager was very accommodating.
Thank you for your kind words. Hope to see you again soon. Eliza Chef/Owner
Lovely staff and delicious food

Wonderful dinner. Friendly wait staff, and amazing food. You certainly pay the price for their meals, but flavors and presentation were fantastic!
Thank you for your lovely review. Eliza Chef/Owner
This is a cute little house turned restaurant 1/2 block away from the gondola. Perfect if you're staying in town or in Mountain Village. The dinners were delicious and the service was excellent.
Thank you for your visit and kind words. Eliza
Wonderful evening. Our server, Trang, was exceptional. One of our favorites in Telluride.
Thank you for your thoughtful review! Eliza
Aps are interesting and excellent. Scallops recommended.
Thank you for your lovely review.
Wonderful, diverse menu and everything was delicious. I opted for the vegetarian menu and the mushroom ravioli literally melted in my mouth. My guests split the elk which was perfectly cooked and were so happy they skipped dessert (unusual for 12 year olds..)
Thank you for your visit and review.
Good but complicated menu.
Thank you for your feedback.
221 Oak provided an amazing dining experience. The food is absolutely amazing. The ambiance is wonderful, providing a quite and intimate dining experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I will be returning during my next visit to Telluride.
Thank you!! Eliza
Always wonderful meal
Thank you for your positive review.
We've been several times for dinner, but never for brunch. Excellent food and service as always.
We'll be back soon!!
Thank you. Eliza
Food was delicious and dining experience was great. I would have preferred an earlier time than 8:45 which was all we could get. we were surprised to find many empty tables when we arrived.
I have been coming to 221 since this restaurant opened 20-25 years ago and knew the two women who started it. You could always count on great food and service. You can still count on great food, but the service and service culture of the restaurant has greatly changed for the worse.
Service was good until our dinner was delivered, then a large party came in and our waiter was attending them and completely ignored us the rest of the evening. We waited a very long time to order dessert when we finally figured out that our waiter was MIA, we had to flag down a waitress twice to order dessert, we told her our waiter was MIA.
She did bring the dessert and put it on the bill. One would have thought that she would have apologized and not put it on the bill. Our waiter, when told we were upset with being abandoned, did come and apologize after we were finished with dinner, bill paid and we were ready to leave. He offered to buy us drinks, but it was way too late.
I spoke to the manager when we left, he did acknowledge that he knew about the situation, spoke to the server, agreed dessert should have been comped and apologized to me. Unfortunately, he also had a dismissive attitude and tone. He did say he would comp us drinks next time we come in. But what if he is not there? Better would have been to give us a gift certificate and not make us tell this whole horrid story again. Also, he could have come over to our table as soon as he was aware and apologize to us, but he did not. Unfortunately the servers and manager do not have a mindset to pay attention to the customer to the level that the food and prices demand and go beyond customer expectations when they screw up and dampen the experience of going out for a nice dinner.
Was expecting good. Ended up being exceptional. The som/manager helped us through the wine list and pointed us to a tremendous Contratto. Good start. Had the burrata and soup appetizers (two soups in one bowl). Both were excellent. My wife had the coppino and I had the soft shell crab entree, they were delicious. Great service. Construction on house next door is no big deal. And we saw Neil Young and Darryl Hannah walking out as we were walking in. That didn’t suck.
Thank you for your visit and positive review. Please come back soon. Eliza
superb food. charming relaxed atmosphere. attentive staff.
A great dining experience
Thank you for your nice review. Eliza
Great service from the moment we stepped in the door, warm greetings with a friendly vibe. Food, wine and cocktails were outstanding. Though I do eat meat, their vegetarian menu was awesome, highly recommend 221 S. Oak.
Thank you for coming!
We got forced into a 6:30 reservation (we tried to request 7 or 7:30). Not sure why since the place was empty until 8pm...maybe 4 tables were filled the whole time we were there. It’s possible that they run a skeleton crew in the summer? Service was pretty spotty. Our waitress would show up and then disappear for 15 minutes. Food was good - very unique recipes and pretty large menu but a little pricey.
One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Creative, incredible flavor, and not precious.
221 never disappoints. We have been here many times and have enjoyed everything from appetizers to main course meals. The Wine list is exceptional and the Wine pairings are spot on!
Thank you for allowing us to enjoy all local flavors. We will be back and back!
Glen and Leigh Anne
Very disappointing meal. I think the menu is too big, and they would do themselves and everyone else a favor by downsizing the menu and concentrating on a few fantastic dishes. My halibut entree "died in the window" as it came out with the sauce dried out and the plate was too hot to touch. Not sure about my friend's osso bucca. Appetizers were average. Our cocktails were amazing, coconut sour and watermelon something....
Fabulous halibut & trout dishes! Cozy charming interior with great service!
Food was good but not outstanding. My husband had an elk that must have been old or frozen. The setting was enjoyable. Overall, we have had much better in Denver, Whistler, Beaver Creek for the same cost.
