211 Clover Lane Restaurant
Great place for a grown up night out. Elegant but simple. No TVs or little kids. Other patrons were considerate. Food was wonderful. This is a go to for us knowing the trender places are more hectic
Went to dinner for Valentines Day with my husband. We enjoyed a filet & fish dinner. The decor is nice & service was excellent.
Valentines Day: Menu was well done with several options. Food arrived timely and was wonderful. The waiter was helpful and the ambience was calm and enjoyable.
Too noisy. Trout entrée was excellent but slight on potatoes. Salmon excellent also. Salads fresh and tasty. Chocolate cake very good. Almond cake unacceptable, way past its day, and I should have sent it back.
We enjoyed our lunch and we shall visit them again.
Food and service excellent. Clover Lane never ceases to deliver a great dining experience.
The staff was attentive, prompt, and thoughtful. The way they space the tables keeps the dining area peaceful and quite...so it was easy to carry on a conversation
We had the pork chop with Sauce Robert. I had not had Sauce Robert since the days of fondue in the 70’s. It was sssooooo good.
I will go back so that I can work my way through the menu Plus the wait staff was exceptional!
What an amazing place. I took my daughter their for Father Daughter dance. They made us feel so special, food and service was amazing. Thanks 211 for making it a memorable night!
Great lunch and outstanding service. Really enjoyed everything with our work team.
Wonderful service and as always delicious lunch. We were seated in a private circular room which was absolutely perfect for meeting with cousins and aunts. We were able to converse comfortably and enjoy ourselves.
Lovely evening to celebrate a special occasion. Entire experience was exceptional!
A perfect winter evening. Excellent all the way around.
211 Clover is one of my favorite restaurants.
The entrees are diverse, the presentation is lovely and the food is delicious.
They have fresh flowers and tablecloths on their table in a county french atmosphere.
They have an experienced staff who aims to please the customer.
It’s quiet and you can linger without ever feeling rushed in or rushed out.
211 Clover has a separate bar area as well as a space for a larger group.
My mom and I have been dining there for years and we love to dine at 211 Clover as it’s a true dining pleasure.
Christmas lunch with my two sisters and daughter. Everything was wonderful. We all had good food and fun time. Never rushed at all.
211 was very hospitable and the ambience was top notch
Every morsel was delicious and the service was perfect!
Went for my daughters birthday. Staff is stellar, very attentive. Food was terrific.
We wanted to enjoy a visit with friends. The food was all delicious and the service was excellent. We had a long leisurely dinner and were not rushed. Our server was attentive, but not intrusive. It was a perfect evening.
Excellent as always!
Everything was perfect, from the service to the food. Soups are a must & the trout was the best we’ve had.
Food was good and the restaurant was beautiful. The menu was very small. We went on a Thursday night; I guess we were hoping for a more lively night with a few more choices. Nevertheless we had a great time but likely would not return unless things significantly changed.
The cheese plate and the salads were amazing. Get the goat cheese. The filet was very well done and the red snapper was just ok. I am used to the meat speaking for itself. This filet was covered in a soy sauce-based sauce. I did not like it. My wife only ate the interior half of it. The snapper was also covered in a white sauce. It was very good but again, I am used to the fish being good by itself not relying on a sauce. The grits with the snapper were ok and not very tasty.
This would be excellent for an intimate dinner. They need to up the game on the entrees. The service was impeccable and the staff were very accommodating.
Great food and excellent service
I went to 211 Clover Lane to celebrate my 15th Anniversary with my wife. We left after being in the restaurant for nearly an hour without ordering our meal. We were sat without a wine or cocktail menu, and when we asked for them we were told the wine menu was no problem but there was no cocktail menu because the bartender was new. However, the table next to us asked for a cocktail menu and received one. The waitress servicing the tables around us seemed very attentive to their needs. We did receive drinks, a cocktail and a glass of wine, but we were finished with them and at the table for more than 45 minutes before our server came to ask if we wanted to order dinner. I told him I wanted the check for our drinks. When he came back he noticed we were unhappy and did offer to comp the drinks. I informed him that I ordered them, drank them, and intended to pay for them. We paid and left the table. I went to the host stand to ask to speak top a manager and was told there by our server that the manager had taken the night off, 'to go to the game.' He stated that it was just himself, one other server, the host, and the bartender working the front of the house that evening. Really...on a Friday night in Louisville this is all the staff you have? I then asked him his name since he never introduced himself at the table...and recommended he do that going forward in this type of restaurant. He was polite, but soft spoken and inexperienced. He then offered me a gift card, to which my reply was that I would not be coming back. He did give me the business card of the owner and another friend tagged the owner in a post where I briefly voiced my displeasure on Facebook. I expected to hear from the owner via Facebook or through the reservation information the restaurant had from my OpenTable reservation, but I heard nothing. Very disappointing that a restaurant of this supposed caliber cares this little about the clientele.
Delicious with generous portions. Not a place to be in a rush but one where you kinda slow down and take it easy and everything takes its time...in a good way though.
My friend was from Fort Wayne and I wanted to treat her to a really special lunch. I immediately thought of 211 Clover. It is good food and cozy atmosphere. Thank you for a great lunch. Cheryl
Love this place! Always perfect for lunch or dinner. Elegant but not stuffy. Food and service are always excellent.
Wonderful food. Nice quiet atmosphere . Good service
Always appreciate 211 Clover Lane for a nice lunch in a quiet environment. Great service. Very nice selection of interesting food.
Very nice. We will be back for dinner
Every time we eat here, we are amazed at how unbelievably good the food is, and the best ambiance in town. The friendly staff is also very professional. It's our favorite restaurant in Louisville!
Such a good dinner!
Visited for lunch. Lovely setting. Clean and crisp decor. Service was good. My Cobb salad was well, a Cobb salad. Personally, I did not care for the champagne dressing, but I enjoyed the overall experience.
Once again, 211 Clover Lane provided excellent food with superb service. Each of us was delighted with our food. The special Watermelon Gazpacho soup was world class.
The best food in town - - consistently. It has a warm, comfortable atmosphere that is appropriate for family, dates, special events or business.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was delicious. Prices are a little high, but they serve you a decent amount of food for the entree, not a small “artistic” sized serving. We were celebrating an anniversary and they did not do anything extra or special for us as some other restaurants have done in the past. It wasn’t expected, but that is always a nice extra gesture when it happens. We would definitely return to eat here again.
The server was sweet ,the food was good, but it was boiling hot in the place ,I couldn't enjoy my meal because of it.
The noise level was not a product of loud music - unfortunately now standard in most restaurants. It was a group of excessively loud women who drowned out the conversations of others. Otherwise it is a perfectly wonderful place to eat. Great food with a nice, usually quiet, ambiance.
This may have been our most delightful meal ever. The food was PERFECT! Even the leftovers were remarkable. Jesse is one in a million for service and care. A special night with special people.
Typically I visit for lunch but we decided to have a small Birthday Dinner there. The resturant seemed like they were short on staff that night or maybe they just staff less at night. Nevertheless, service was slow and the food was drowning in sauces. The salads were completely dripping in dressing. I forgot to order it on the side but ordering the Heirloom Tomato Salad who would have thought that would have happened. The trout, abet very tasty, was covered in butter and possibly oil. It was to be lightly sautéed and was swimming. It is difficult to eat healthy these days. I would think they would offer some lighter fare. My husband had the pasta the was dripping in oil. My son had the Pork Chop which he was pleased with. The Charcuterie board was also a wonderful surprise. I asked for the names of the cheeses but the waitress never returned with them.
