Great! Always goo a favorite fabulous service and accomodating
Nice place unique. Special occasion great service and food
Service was spotty. Had to ask twice to get butter, and twice for extra bread, and then later, more bread didn’t arrive.
My braised lamb shank was inedible - is was dry and tasteless, needed a sauce of some sort over the top of it.
They did take off the lamb shank and also took off my dessert.
Not nearly as good as it used to be.
It was great!!
The food was wonderful. I hadn't eaten lunch there since my bridal shower 22 years ago and it is just as good as I remember. I will definitely be back!
Delicious beautifully presented food, excellent service.
Love the new lunch menu!
Excellent!
the pasta dish was not good. I have never had a bad meal here, so this was the first
It was a good meal with a variety of offerings on the menu that kept all in our party content. We were never rushed and had plenty of time to visit throughout the meal. The food was good—not great—but good enough for a first time visitor that I will go back and try it again later this year.
One of our favorite restaurants. Charming and always divine food
Our first visit to 211 Clover Lane was fantastic. Our service at the bar was phenomenal. Great ambiance. Our drinks, appetizer, and entrees arrived timely. We ordered the charcuterie plate, grilled mahi mahi, and the NY strip all of which were greatly enjoyed. We were headed to a play after dinner and our bartender ensured we left in time. We returned for dessert and drinks after the play. The berry crostata and chocolate chess pie sealed the deal for our return.
Unfortunately, we received essentially no service from our server, Abel. Really, the most inattentive server we’ve had in a long time.
Wonderful time for us and all occasions.
Atmosphere lovely, service delightful, food outstanding and menu wonderful. The very best in Louisville.
Excellent!!
Service was ok
No bread offered
No dessert offered
Our favorite restaurant in Louisville--always satisfies. We love the soups--they are wonderful and so are the salads and interesting appetizers. They sometimes have different flans (not dessert, but things like mushroom, cheese, and tomato)--my favorites! The menu is just the right size to expect excellence and consistency. We have enjoyed wonderful gatherings for birthdays, etc. in the private dining room. The atmosphere is casually quiet and relaxed-just right from our point of view. The wait staff is friendly, kind and knowledgeable.
Celebrated my friend’s birthday! No special treat or recognition! Was busy, but still, no excuse! I do like Terry very much! One of my favorite places to dine!
Loved our night at 211 Clover Lane. An extra bonus is the bar area ... so nicely done. Will go back again for drinks with friends.
The food and service is always outstanding. We were also offered a great wine selection for our meal.
This is our favorite restaurant and never disappoints
It was excellent as usual.
My birthday lunch was wonderful! Love 211!
The meal was perfect from beginning to end. The Lyonnaise salad was delicious with just the right amount of dressing.
My guests found the house salad with baked goat cheese to be perfect. Oysters on the half shell were fresh and tasted amazing.
I had the ribeye. It was perfectly prepared. My guests had the filet and the scallops. She said the filet was the best she’d ever had. He said the scallops rivaled those he’d had in Cape Cod.
We shared a Chocolate pot de creme for dessert. Superb!
Sloane was our server. She’s lovely and gracious, made my guests feel welcome and special. 211 is my favorite restaurant in Louisville. The food is the best, but so are the wonderful staff. The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else. Beautiful, understated, yet so comfortable. I feel like family here. Thank you!
Food is always very good. I frequently recommend 211 Clover to my friends. The gentleman server is friendly and patient with ladies who talk before they make menu choice! Couple of suggestions would be to make the bar area more upscale and inviting and intimate lighting would be great. In private dining rooms same on the lighting so they are less austere. Another small suggestion would be to have the windows cleaned. The sun was coming in where we sat and the windows were dirty.
Love coming to Clover and had our family dine in the back dining room during Christmas. We are returning this coming holiday.
Clover Lane never disappoints! Always wonderful service- delicious food and quiet ! You can actually hear the conversation at your table, unlike so many restaurants these days! Always a pleasure to dine at Clover Lane!
one of my favorite restaurants. you can actually have a conversation in a normal voice. it is very quiet and i love that. terry is so wonderful - he is the best.
I hadn't been to brunch at 211 Clover in quite some time. I was so happy I returned. The fixed-price menu, at $15, was well thought out and the portions were generous. The food was delicious! I had the trout and will go back just for that.
Our server was quite good and very knowledgeable. Love this place!
Amazing sun filled dining rooms as if you are in a private home in the French countryside. Welcoming family-like reception. Our head waiter Abel was genuine and professional. He made our experience special. The star as it should be is the delicious cuisine. Balanced flavors with a subtle French touch, such as perfectly dressed greens and gently seasoned grains to showcase perfectly prepared fish. Trout, Salmon and the house and Bibb salads were must haves. Great for any occasion.
Excellent neighborhood gem! Never disappoints! Impeccable and professional service and good unique menu.
Although not hip or trendy, 211 Clover is charming. Feels like a renovated farmhouse inside with some quaint private rooms for larger parties. The hostesses were friendly and warm upon both our entrance and exit. Our waitress was personable, very attentive and professional. Food was solid. 3 of us enjoyed the filet and another the pork chop. All of us agreed, it’s a lovely option. Not too contrived; quality ingredients; consistent.
We waited well beyond our reservation for an unknown reason. The pork chop tasted "charred."
I’m always so impressed with this place. I can’t wait to go back again. The drinks this time far exceeded our expectations and the meal was delicious too.
Just a wonderful restaurant with tables in many rooms. Like a house. Super service and great small bar. Just a place to chill enjoy a nice dinner
The food and service are always excellent. This is one of the few restaurants in town that are quiet enough to have a real conversation. My friend and I had a long talk and delayed leaving by ordering the warm apple tart for dessert - delicious.
Fantastic dinner and ambience. The service is amazing as well.
Overpriced and underseasoned. The servers were attentive and pleasant but I am one of those people who REALLY does not appreciate a server making an unsolicited offering about their preferences....really should not do that unless a diner very specifically requests it!
The cocktails were truly excellent.
The radish salad was dreadful, rubbery flavorless radishes with such an acidic dressing that I could not eat it. Good quality smoky bleu cheese was all that I could consume.
The duck entree was completely underseasoned....decent quality and properly cooked but just not worth having. The elderberry gastrique was invisible.
Bouillabaisse special was small for the price and both pieces of fish overcooked.
The ambience was quite pleasant. Very quiet in the restaurant the evening that we dined.
Service was excellent as was the fillet mignon. Roasted red peppers were out of this world!! Green beans were tasteless. Blah! Red snapper and roasted cauliflower were very good. Funny/unusual things: 1) There was a speaker system set up throughout the restaurant but no music. 2) very old building needed some basic maintenance. Floors were very old hardwood that needed updating. Although the food was very good, for that price I could have gone to a more upscale place.
The service was quite slow. However the food was delicious.
Our go-to restaurant in Louisville. The best. We love the staff and the food is consistently excellent -- locally sourced, seasonal, and delicious. The ambience is low key, but has a sophistication to it that seems to appeal to everyone.
