211 Clover Lane Restaurant
This is one of my favorite places and, as usual, the food was wonderful. I had the trout which was beautifully prepared with just the right amount of crispness. The service was impeccable without being intrusive. Our table was in front of french doors overlooking the garden, adding to the ambience. Wines are reasonally priced in comparison with other restaurants. Thumbs up to the staff for another great evening.
Quality food and service. Great staff. Half-priced wine night is our go-to.
Great place for quiet conversation in an elegant setting with excellent food.
211 Clover Lane is one of our favorite Louisville restaurants. The food and service is consistently good. It’s also a great place to go if you want a quiet atmosphere.
This restaurant never disappoints. The food is always good and the service is very good.
Very pleasant, enjoyed conversation and visit w/ son....we both enjoyed the beautifully prepared trout dish...delicious.
Excellent food and friendly service. The small dining rooms create an intimate dining experience. Kevin our mixologist was awesome!
Still one of the best places in town for a quiet lunch or dinner, always feels upscale and private. Food is consistently delicious, bar area exceptional. The setting in multiple rooms allows for privacy and intimacy, whether for romantic experience or good conversation with good friends.
Always a pleasure to dine here. The food was excellent and the service was friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. The atmosphere is elegant and not too noisy. One of my favorites!
The entire staff was lovely for Mother's Day brunch from Management to Servers and Assistants. Even though they served 3 times the number of guests compared to a typical Sunday, everyone was calm, cool and collected. It was the right choice for a relaxing meal; no regrets. We enjoyed the variety of options for entrees and desserts on the fixed menu. Delicious! We typically don't eat desserts; however, we splurged! Their offerings were too enticing to pass up for our table. We will definitely return and have already recommended to friends.
Food was excellent. Service was not as good as usual. Probabably because it was high really busy!
It had been several years since I had eaten at 211 which had been one of my favorite brunch restaurants in Louisville. I love the ambiance of the older home with individual rooms for grouping diners. It makes for a more intimate experience. I was disappointed in the food on this visit. We were supposed to be served scones to start our brunch, but they did not arrive. I asked about them when our main entrees were served and suggested that they be prepared for us a a "to go" item. The french toast was very dry and tough to cut, even with a knife, which made it very difficult to eat. I think that the bread had not been soaked long enough for the egg mixture to penetrate the bread. My Dad ate the filet mignon brunch entree and liked it very much. I would like to compliment the bartender. We arrived and our table was not ready. The bartender noticed that we were waiting for our table and approached us with complimentary glasses of champagne. This was a very nice and generous offer, and more importantly, demonstrated that someone was paying attention to the customers' needs.
Lovely food and atmosphere - one of the few dining places where a pleasant conversation is possible because no loudspeakers boom high decibel noisy music
Every single aspect of our meal was perfect, even an off the menu wine suggestion that was superb. Jesse, our server, is way above average. She has almost become family. I had oysters for both my appetizer and dinner, and they were very fresh and perfectly prepared. Another joyful evening.
The derby prix fixe was meh, but the service was much worse. Rushed and awkward.
Very nice. great food. staff was very good too. A little challenging to find. need a sign at the front of the parking lot
Excellent oysters & a delightful Rosé - we nearly always see someone we know.
Wonderful quaint setting with excellent bar, food and service.
Reliably good food and great place to have a quiet dinner. Nice to have Verlasso salmon on the menu (but it changes), and usually one other fish - a nice variety, for a small restaurant. Also a very nice small private dining room.
The food is always wonderful and creatively prepared. Great ambiance and elegant venue. The service, especially Katie, is always top notch.
Very limited menu options
Noisy atmosphere due to poor noise cancellation property
The food was great as well as the atmosphere. Not an everyday dining location for my budget but it has made the short list for when i want to splurge a little.
Me and my date both got a to go box...next day...we found out it was someone else's!!
Food!!! ...shame on you...the place wasn't that busy
First time dining here...lets just say it won't be my last!!! 211 Clover Road restaurant is a gem. Made reservation for a group of 8 to celebrate a dear friend's 40th Birthday and the service, food, drinks and staff was AMAZING!!!
Just love it there .
I ate here almost twenty years ago and I wasn’t impressed. Guess what: Nothing has changed. My parents and I have lunch every Wednesday and Mom decided on this restaurant for her “turn”. The restaurant itself is lovely. The food, however, bland and forgettable. My stepdad chose the pasta dish and he said he would rather have Chef Boy Ardee. Mom’s BLT was nothing extraordinary and my salad was average. In fact they only had two dressings: I’ll call them sour one and more sour. Why not go with something tried and true like a balsamic vinaigrette? I understand shying away from typical dressings. But please have more than two options. I wish I had gone with oil and vinegar. The worst part of the meal was the service. I don’t think he told us his name but he seemed agitated he had to wait on us. He was harried the entire time we were seated and I can honestly say he is the worst server I’ve had in quite some time. Needless to say we won’t return to 211 Clover Lane.
Terrific birthday celebration
Perfect from start to finish!
First time at 2:11 Clover. Walking into the restaurant, I really was immediately impressed with the charming nature of what seem to be a house turned into a restaurant type environment, even though this is an a shopping type of complex.
We were there for lunch, and seated and greeted promptly. Everything on the menu looked superb. I had a ham sandwich, which doesn’t sound too exciting, but it was very good. My companions had the trout in the salmon, and all enjoyed it very much.
Had a great meal but especially wonderful service. Our waitress (shoulder length brown hair) was so nice and accommodating. And then there was a bartender named James who was THE BEST. Definitely go and sit at the bar for a drink or two with him. Wednesday it’s half price bottles of wine!
Lunch date with daughter. delightful as always. a civilized, quiet venue with excellent food. on my favorite list in louisville.
This is the place to visit to get the feeling of the best of LOUISVILLE
Quiet setting. We were there for lunch and no one was in same room we were. Food was very reasonably priced.
Always delicious and different! Every part of the meal, from salad to entree to dessert and drinks, was excellent.
Perhaps we suffered from high expectations, but 211 Clover missed the mark somewhat. It was busy and our server was rushed. We liked the bread, although it was doled out meagrely one slice at a time. The tomato consumme was nice, luscious even, but my trout had soggy skin, no seasoning, overcooked spinach and limp potatoes. My friend liked the goat cheese in her otherwise pedestrian salad, but my other friend thought the penne was blah. She barely touched it and our server spoke not a word about it. We asked who made the bread and he couldn't answer and didn't bother to find out, only responded with "one of our vendors." For such high prices, I wanted much more. Won't be back soon.
It's a delightful place for lunch! Portions are perfect and the conversations lively. Need a reservation.
Had lunch. Reduced menu compared to the evening. All the food was of top quality with the only complaint being the overly eggy, non-creamy, creme brulé. Wine was excellent (Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon). Service was good. I will return for an evening meal soon.
The best service of any restaurant in Louisville!
My food was excellent. I had chicken...crispy on the outside and wonderfully juicy on the inside.
Incredible dinner experience for our group of five. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and shown to a beautiful table with white linens and flowers in a lovely room of the restaurant. From cocktails to appetizers, main course and desserts, everything was superb. Flavors were fantastic and food was cooked to perfection. The evening couldn’t have been better!
Great place for a grown up night out. Elegant but simple. No TVs or little kids. Other patrons were considerate. Food was wonderful. This is a go to for us knowing the trender places are more hectic
