Came here for my boyfriends 30th birthday and we had such an amazing night thanks to our server and the amazing cooks
Always a pleasure! Everything perfect. Pacing / knowledge/ appropriate amount of attention. Excellent food and wine!
Amazing food and very good value for money! The rib eye was exceptional and the kids meals are very high quality. This has been by far our best dining experience in Whistler!
Great location and the food was very good. We did have to send back one pasta dish because it was not hot but they took care of it promptly. Service was great and the beer was cold! I would recommend reservations as the place was packed with a waiting line.
I've been vacationing in Whistler for decades. Typically I stay in my timeshare so I have access to a kitchen which is fortunate because most of the restaurants in the Village are quite expensive with so so food. 21 Steps in an exception and it has become our "go to" restaurant when we prefer not to cook. The ambiance is quite nice and if you are seated near a window you have an excellent view of the Whistler stroll. The service always is good as is the food. While not inexpensive (after all you are in a very upscale ski resort), the food is worth the price. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Almost every dish had the same broccoli which was soggy. The rest of the main course was ok but not as good as some of the other restaurants at similar price points in town. The tiger shrimp were miniscule and the waitress kept refilling our waters every few minutes but never asked or refilled our other drinks. Overall the experience was quite underwhelming.
The only annoying thing was that we were a table of 5 but already added 18% gratuity but on the menu it stated it that its automatically added for 6 or more people so were shocked to see they added it to our bill.
Ate here 2 nights in a row it was so good. We had the same waitress both nights and she was efficient friendly and patient.
Have always enjoyed eating here when in Whistler and happy to know our family feel the same. Can not recommend enough
An extensive menu and all meals were excellent
Great service with nothing to fault.
Precisely what was required for a family meal.
great dinner as always! enjoyed our server (owner) food was great and easy to make a reservation!
Great service, tasty food... we’ll definitely be back!
Very good food, A little pricey, but good portions and very tasty. A little noisy and cramped, but will definitely go again.
Ordinary food and ordinary service.
The steak was over cooked and very chewy.
Nice place - good service - great food
Unfortunately very disappointing meals. The trout was a little over cooked and a confusion of flavours. The seafood linguine was bland and very short on seafood. So sad as I had booked this restaurant 6 weeks in advance and we had a late booking. I assumed there was going to be amazing food:(
Whistler ski celebration
We hade salmon, Tiger prawn and scallop and meat, all very tasty, best dinner so far in Whistler. The pasta was fine but not more than that.
It was great
Our first time in Canada and the people who works there are very kind
Extremely busy night and our service was excellent.
Great service, good value food, delicious desserts (the cookie is to die for)
Excellent meal! We loved the garlic chili prawns and salmon cakes to start! As it was Christmas, they had a special turkey dinner entree that he loved, while I got the salmon. And the warm cookie with ice cream for dessert was a great way to end the night!
Love the view from the window tables to the village stroll below!
Came here on Christmas Eve for a nice family dinner and got what we wanted! The waitress messed up our order but was very quick to compensate for the mistake, and stayed cordial + helpful throughout the night. The menu is very versatile and could suit many different dietary restrictions/quirks. I recommend the smoked chicken pasta and winter salad -- they were exceptional. The portion size is also commendable and our food came at a reasonable rate. No complaints there.
The only critiques I would offer is that some dishes are very heavy -- we went home that night feeling a little sick because of how greasy everything was. That said, it tasted satisfactory and the restaurant does what it promises -- modern comfort food. The other thing was that the restaurant was a bit too dark. I understand some appreciate dimmed lighting for the ambience but at times it was difficult to have conversation. Overall though, very cute little place and would definitely go again.
Been here many times. Lovely evening. Food and service were both phenomenal
Great food and service!
Our waitress was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the offerings. Everything was delicious.
I ordered steak which was cooked perfectly. The best steak I’ve eaten for a long time. My daughter ordered the vegetable tower- also very good. The service was excellent . Definitely would recommend 21 steps..
Wow!! Loved this restaurant. We've been coming to Whistler for 4 years now and this was our first time here, what a shame! I wish I would have come sooner.
Food was delicious, service was super friendly. We had a table by the window that made our meal even more special.
My new favorite in Whistler!!
It’s always great ! We always have ‘small bites”- then more, then MORE !!
We love the small plates...our version of apres!
Very good food, friendly staff! And very good Pilsener Beer! Liked it!
Food was great. Actually ate there three times during my 10 day visit. Specials were amazing, great value and super food. The 21 Salad is a must try. I could have dinner there every nite. Fabulous!
We enjoyed 3 small plates and a salad, more than enough for two people. The small plate menu had a great variety and they were all delicious.
We enjoyed the 3 course meal. Every thing we ordered was excellent!
I wrote a long review and open table timed out and it’s all gone
In short great service, and food. We recommend the red curry mussels as an appetizer, but all we’ve tried have been great
We increased our reservation without any challenges, the food was amazing and everyone that was new to the restaurant loved it.
My partner and I drove up to Whistler just for the afternoon, explored and had our dinner date at 21. We both had pasta, the food was delicious and the service was exceptional! We will definitely be going back, and would highly recommend to anyone!
It was our first time dining here and we were very impressed. We had requested a booth and they accommodated us right away. (So many restaurants do not read the special requests so that was impressive). Our server was very pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was outstanding - well prepared and interesting combinations of flavors. We especially enjoyed the fried goat cheese with caramelized onions. This is our new favorite in Whistler for sure.
Nice menu selection - good quality ingredients.. limited wine list - although good for size of place
Great atmosphere, excellent views, and a very busy, energetic feel. The ambiance is bustling with activity as it is located on the in the central hub of Whistler Village.
Our experience (my partner and I) was that we came to Whistler for her birthday. She has never been, so I googled a number of places. I wanted a fancy place without it FEELING fancy. 21 steps was great in this regard - we dressed up and did not feel out of place or that we were overdressed.
Though, as it was MANY years since I have been to Whistler, and it was quite dark, I could not find it easily. Once we did find it, we were 20 minutes late for our reservation. The host, a friendly Aussie chap, said that the seats were still reserved and explained that Whistler is hard to find your way around if you are new.
We were sat at the window facing the village, and ordered cocktails. We sat for another 5-7 minutes, and they came. That was the service for the rest of the night, quick and orderly. Our server was friendly and prompt. We started with the white wine mussels and baked caprese with heirloom tomato. Both were divine, and just the right amount of food. The mussels also came with sliced white bread to soak up the juices. Needless to say, they did not last long. My partner had the tiger prawns and sea scallops, and I had the lamb chops. Much to my happiness, the scallops were perfectly cooked and the lamb was Frenched. The jus was lovely, and the portions were more or less what was expected.
For dessert, we had the pot de creme and the creme brulee. Both, as decadent as the rest of the meal. The pot de creme came in an expresso class and was a thick chocolate mousse, and albeit small, was not in flavor and richness. The creme brulee was perfectly accented with nutmeg and cinnamon.
The only thing that wasn't great was the noise, but the place was packed. We went at 7:30 pm, but was more like 8 and even then it was hard to speak to each other at a small table without raising our voices.
Overall everything is great
