21 Steps Kitchen + Bar Ratings and Reviews
Wow! We were all so pleased with our meals. The 3-course menu deal is a steal and hits every palate and dietary need right on point! Pretty sure we were saying “mmm” every 5 seconds. This place is warm, cozy, and quite the neighbourhood gem! The price is right, the food is delicious, the service is great.
I have been to 21 Steps for multiple special occasions and have never been disappointed! The three course meal option is such an incredible value, and the food is always amazing. We will be back, and we will always recommend this location to our friends and family when they're heading to Whistler! I would recommend making a reservation however if your group is larger than 2!
favorite dinner spot in whistler!! The food is always delicious, and the service is always great!! My boyfriend and I only come here for dinner when we are in whistler. The smoked chicken pasta is the best pasta I have ever had, and the deep fried goat cheese is amazing!
Stick to the tapas/small plates. They were the most enjoyable and worth the money. The fries goat cheese was amazing and the broth on the curry mussels was heavenly. We were not impressed with the large plates; The shitznel was bland and burnt and the lamb though cooked right was also bland and sauce was weird and bitter.
Place was beautiful and quiet, and they had a great deal on a Fall 3 course meal. Unfortunately the Ribs my girlfriend ordered for her entree was completely unedible due to being overly salty and mushy. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she admitted they had been having lots of problems with the brining process. She had them take the item off the menu for the evening, and didn't charge us for them, so we really couldn't ask for them to do any more. Wonderful and friendly server, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone, as the rest of the meal was amazing.
My wife and I tried this restaurant pretty much around the time we started dating and we were greatly surprised by its food and everything thing else ( mind it was 5 years ago when we first visited this restaurant) and ever since our first time we have been waiting for that “first” impression we experienced back then.
This week we spent a few days in the village and our choice for the first night was 21 steps...
We were hoping for a better experience than what we had... had to change my appetizer cause was not good...
We decided it may be time to pass on this restaurant next time and for a while...
Great food, great service!!
Fall special 3 course meal -- great price!!
Best for smaller groups - most of the tables along the window with view are for 2 people. Tables in the middle for 4+ people are a bit squished together. Otherwise....everything else is amazing. I would definitely go back here again!
Food was delicious. Great menu and we were able to take part in the three course menu for $39. Was really good value. Service for drinks was really slow and our water wasn't topped up once. Ambience fun and if seated by the window would be able to look down and watch people walking in the village. Despite slow service would still recommend
My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary. I requested a cozy spot with a view for the occasion and that's exactly what we got. Our server was friendly and very helpful, the food was amazing! We would definitely come back next time we are in Whistler!
We had made reservations before we travelled from Australia and it was good that we did as the place was very busy. The restaurant had a special deal of CAD$39 for 3 courses. We chose this option and ordered steak wrapped in bacon and pork belly for entrée, both were excellent. For main course my husband ordered spare ribs and I ordered prawns and scallops in a light coconut sauce, mild thai curry. Both meals were again excellent. For dessert my husband chose caramel apple crumble and I chose pot au crème (a decadent chocolate mousse). Both desserts were fabulous. Our server was excellent and over all we had a amazing dining experience.
Great place for dinner which we had. Food was delicious and well prepared and presented. Portions were large enough for a very hungry adult. Service was efficient and friendly. Did not feel at all rushed. A thoroughly enjoyable dinning experience. Will be back on our next visit to Whistler.
We had a window seat which overlooked the Whistler Stroll so the people watching was great. Food was good and the Creme Brulee was excellent. When I wasn't able to decide between two wines our server brought samples of both to help me decide. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.
