I have been to 21 Steps for multiple special occasions and have never been disappointed! The three course meal option is such an incredible value, and the food is always amazing. We will be back, and we will always recommend this location to our friends and family when they're heading to Whistler! I would recommend making a reservation however if your group is larger than 2!

favorite dinner spot in whistler!! The food is always delicious, and the service is always great!! My boyfriend and I only come here for dinner when we are in whistler. The smoked chicken pasta is the best pasta I have ever had, and the deep fried goat cheese is amazing!

My family and I had a great dinner at 21 Steps! The service was excellent and we didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive, even though it was a busy night. Delicious food and wine!! Would recommend to anyone =)

Stick to the tapas/small plates. They were the most enjoyable and worth the money. The fries goat cheese was amazing and the broth on the curry mussels was heavenly. We were not impressed with the large plates; The shitznel was bland and burnt and the lamb though cooked right was also bland and sauce was weird and bitter.

Another wonderful experience at 21 steps. Alicia was a fantastic waitress and super attentive. Being in the hospitality industry myself, outstanding customer service is what creates repeat guests.

Enjoyed the great service and the food was prepared per our request. The Gluten free menu had good variety and the staff helped in the various options available. Would visit next time in Whistler.

Place was beautiful and quiet, and they had a great deal on a Fall 3 course meal. Unfortunately the Ribs my girlfriend ordered for her entree was completely unedible due to being overly salty and mushy. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she admitted they had been having lots of problems with the brining process. She had them take the item off the menu for the evening, and didn't charge us for them, so we really couldn't ask for them to do any more. Wonderful and friendly server, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone, as the rest of the meal was amazing.

My wife and I tried this restaurant pretty much around the time we started dating and we were greatly surprised by its food and everything thing else ( mind it was 5 years ago when we first visited this restaurant) and ever since our first time we have been waiting for that “first” impression we experienced back then.

This week we spent a few days in the village and our choice for the first night was 21 steps...

We were hoping for a better experience than what we had... had to change my appetizer cause was not good...

We decided it may be time to pass on this restaurant next time and for a while...

Regards

Excellent food quality and great service. Paid very special attention to a peanut allergy, kept us informed. Knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended. Had mussels and NY striploin. Amazing. Creme brule was perfect. Awesome 3 course menu options.

The restaurant was just so so! The table location was great. The food itself was only ok. The service was alright but the sides for our meals were cold. Would I go back yes, because all in all I enjoyed my time there.

Great food, great service!!

Fall special 3 course meal -- great price!!

Best for smaller groups - most of the tables along the window with view are for 2 people. Tables in the middle for 4+ people are a bit squished together. Otherwise....everything else is amazing. I would definitely go back here again!

Food was delicious. Great menu and we were able to take part in the three course menu for $39. Was really good value. Service for drinks was really slow and our water wasn't topped up once. Ambience fun and if seated by the window would be able to look down and watch people walking in the village. Despite slow service would still recommend

We had made reservations before we travelled from Australia and it was good that we did as the place was very busy. The restaurant had a special deal of CAD$39 for 3 courses. We chose this option and ordered steak wrapped in bacon and pork belly for entrée, both were excellent. For main course my husband ordered spare ribs and I ordered prawns and scallops in a light coconut sauce, mild thai curry. Both meals were again excellent. For dessert my husband chose caramel apple crumble and I chose pot au crème (a decadent chocolate mousse). Both desserts were fabulous. Our server was excellent and over all we had a amazing dining experience.

Great place for dinner which we had. Food was delicious and well prepared and presented. Portions were large enough for a very hungry adult. Service was efficient and friendly. Did not feel at all rushed. A thoroughly enjoyable dinning experience. Will be back on our next visit to Whistler.

We had a window seat which overlooked the Whistler Stroll so the people watching was great. Food was good and the Creme Brulee was excellent. When I wasn't able to decide between two wines our server brought samples of both to help me decide. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.

We had a nice time on our anniversary here. The cocktails were good, but the food and wine were both a bit of a let-down. The food seemed overpriced for the quality, and the wine list was abysmal. One should not have to pay $70/bottle for decent wine. I ordered the only reasonably-priced bottle of red (a shiraz) and could barely get through a glass. The ambiance was jubilant and fun, though, and our server was a delight.

The food is worth the 21 Steps to the top - service from the hostess too, the waitstaff could use an attitude adjustment
Had a reservation booked for 9:15 Saturday but we were ready to eat much earlier. We stopped in and they were able to accommodate our request and got us in with a table in the 'Attic' at 7:15 which was greatly appreciated.

We had the buttermilk fried chicken to start (EAT THIS!) they were delicious, I had the bison steak with a salad instead of the vegetables and my husband had the pineapple ribs. It was all delicious once it came out right.

I had asked for my meat med-rare and my steak came out mooing (do buffalo moo?) - like almost blue rare. Anyways... they 'threw it back on the grill' and it came back out on a fresh plate of mashed potatoes. It was fine enough as it's standard practice in a resto for the steak to just go back on but in this case, there was already the chipotle butter on it searing it into the meat made it a little crisper and spicier than I would typically prefer for a med.rare cook. The spice was affected because they put even more of the chipotle butter on top after searing in the stuff that was already on.

The recooking was okay and it turned out fine, but the general attitude towards the request from the waitstaff was impatient and somewhat rude. I understand as most of the waitstaff in Whistler tends to be young, underpaid and overworked - it's expected. But this kid should have been kept in the back. There was also no concession for getting the order wrong on our bill - typically a restaurant of this caliber would comp an appetizer or dessert but there was no such offer.

The staff could be trained a little better in fine dining etiquette.
