21 Main at North Beach Ratings and Reviews
Excellent seafood, steaks well prepared , season/sauce topping choices and excellent service . Cocktails and wine list also excellent . Recently moved to Myrtle Beach from Phila. area and this will definitely be our go to spot. Lobster bisque soup is 1st rate best , seafood special was well put together. Would rate this right up with the top steak places. Price what you would expect at top steak/seafood place Morton`s, The Palm . Food is better than Ruth Chris
My favorite local steak house is New York Prime so that is what I was comparing this restaurant to since their price points are very similar. The evening that we dined here they were not very busy. We were seated as soon as we arrived. Our server was friendly and provided good service. We shared a wedge salad and both ordered their 8 ounce filet. The wedge salad was one of the best that I've had. Their filet was good, but in my personal opinion not as good as the one that I get at New York Prime. My only complaint was with the drink that I ordered. I like to have a glass of scotch with my dinner. My preferred scotch is Dalwhinnie, which they did not have so I ordered Glenfiddich instead. It arrived in a small glass with one large ice cube. The amount that was in the glass was very little, when I commented about it after we got our check I was told that the bartender said it was their standard 3 ounce pour. I don't know how much there was, all I know is that when I order my Dalwhinnie at New York Prime it comes in a larger glass and there is twice as much scotch in the glass, for the same price that I paid. I will stick with New York Prime as my choice for a very nice steak dinner out.
FANTASTIC experience! This was out first time dining at 21 Main and from the minute we walked in until the minute we left we have exceptional service. Our server was super attentive and made recommendations from appetizers to dessert that didbn't dissapoint. I can't wait to go back to try something else off of their menu!
Food and service were excellent. Layout is very open, doesn't seem that the space was originally designed to be a restaurant. Table of 14 next to us was extremely loud and raucous, inappropriate for a upscale, fine dining restaurant. Other patrons in shorts and tee shirts.
The entire experience was excellent. All of the staff and especially the manager were extremely friendly and helpful. 21 Main catered our wedding so we go every year on our anniversary to celebrate. Each experience is better than the previous. Wonderful three year anniversary!
Only a very few restaurants on the grand strand can offer food of this quality. The steaks are delicious. Don't even hesitate to order the chicken. The staff are attentive and courteous. It is a beautiful restaurant and I love the music. Just a perfect meal, one you will remember and will look forward to going back.
Found this gem through OpenTable. To say the least, the food was amazing. Ordered the brie appetizer, topped with candied cashews, caramel, and dried cranberries, it was out of this world. Ordered the petite filet, Oscar style for my meal, probably one of the best filets I've had in a long time. The meat is dressed onsite, no fat or gristle. The crab meat was so tender and juicy. Split the baked potato as the side, it came out with sides of sour cream, bacon, cheese and chives. Even the bacon was excellent! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and will be returning the next time we're in the area! 5 stars! Out waiter James was also a gem, and knew what he was talking about as far as what the restaurant has to offer!
Fantastic all around meal at 21 Main. Service and food were perfect. Our waiter Jeff was awesome. Great food and after dinner recommendations. Classic southern steakhouse with a modern feel. Ribeye was unreal. Manager even gave us a complimentary bottle of very good red wine. Will definitely be back next visit to MB!
This our 3rd time at 21 Main and it has been superb every time. The quality of the food is well above average and the service is 2nd to none. The place is very clean and the prices are below what I would expect. Don't forget a cocktail as they are some of the best we have had. The wine selection was also very good.
The food was amazing as always, we always make this our last dinner of vacation. This year was the worst of all of our visits but it was the service that made it bad. Our steaks and one of our sides arrived but the waitress advised us our other side would be right out. Well, we were almost completely done eating when the last side arrived. Then we sat there for about 10 minutes after we were finished before our server came back to check on us. We were going to order dessert but as you can imagine by this time we were ready to go.
Had dinner here last night. Fabulous, from the service to the food to dessert! Started with sushi, which my husband and sons said were the best they have ever had! I had shrimp cocktail which were large and cooked to perfection! We all had different dinners and shared. Lobster mac and cheese was amazing! Scallops were huge, husband had salmon and said it was outstanding! I had the filet tips which were cooked perfectly! Portions were a nice size, I didn't even make a dent in mine, it my family enjoyed finishing it off!! Boys had cheesecake and the blood orang sorbet, needless to say nothing was left over. Definitely would recommend this place! Pricey, but well worth the money. We were looking for a place that was not your typical MB chain restaurant and we surely found it! Will recommend to everyone! Oh, and the Pinot Noir was awesome, very nice wine choices! Will be back on our next MB visit!
Everything was amazing! My husband and I went to 21 Main for our anniversary dinner and the service and food was incredible! Dont forget to ask about their sushi menu too if you go. The Buddha Roll is especially delicious as well as everything else. The Lobster Bisque soup is the best we have ever had too! You cant go wrong with anything you order at this restaurant.
Lobster bisque and tomahawk steak were extraordinary. We paired with a Stagsleap petite Syrah, one of our favs, very reasonably priced. Our kid enjoyed pasta with marinara sauce. Our waitress, MJ, was fantastic! Definitely a great pick during our vacation in Myrtle Beach!
Superior ambiance and relaxing atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive. The sushi was some of the best I've ever had. The steak was unfortunately only acceptable (slightly over cooked and sparsely seasoned) which is notable only because we chose 21 Main specifically to have a good steak dinner. One member of our party asked about his New York strip ($48) being over cooked and was brought a replacement. The manager brought it out and was quite brief about it. He did not apologize for the delay (the rest of us had finished our main course by then) and surprisingly, did not wait to see his guest cut into the replacement to check the temperature. The desserts were delicious (key lime and Red velvet).
My wife and I ate here on the last night of our Myrtle Beach vacation. We couldn't wait to taste the award-winning lobster bisque and ordered some...but we were extremely disappointed to find out they had run out. Everthing else was amazing and our sever was nice too. I had the ribeye w/ scallops and my wife had the ribeye w/ shrimp. We also had Caesar salad, lobster mac-n-cheese and greens.
