21 Main at North Beach
Our server Tyler was great, he gave good recommendations that we loved. Definitely made the experience better than just the food.
Wonderful meal and wine pairings. thanks for participating in Restaurant week
Not worth the money. The venue was cold and noisy. The appetizers were over-fried. The entrees so-so. Wine was expensive, for a short pour.
It was restaurant week and pretty crowded. They did an excellent job with taking orders and getting food out. We fid not feel rushed at all during our dinner.
Prices are a little on the high side but food quality and atmosphere make up for it, especially on special occasions.
The food was not so great and the service was not good
Possibly the best filet I have ever eaten. Prepared perfectly and nice sides. The appetizer and dessert were excellent as well. Lovely atmosphere and our server was attentive just enough. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience.
My wife and I look forward to coming every year for Restaurant Week. Again this year we were impressed. The 3 course meals and wine pairings were special! We really love this spot!
Have dined there many times and always find it excellent. Was especially impressed with their selections for Restaurant Week.
Lobster fondue was perfect with generous chunks of lobster and a rich creamy bisque. Filet mignon is perfectly cooked with nice charbroil crust. Our waitress, MJ was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and everything about the restaurant's history. We have already made another reservation including inviting another couple to enjoy this wonderful dining experience.
From the appetizers through the desert, everything was excellent: fresh, beautiful, delicious.
This was our first time to this restaurant even though we are locals (never had much opportunity since we live on the opposite end of the beach). We were very impressed with the atmosphere and of course the food. The food is fine dining but very much emphasizes southern comfort food. The bacon is amazing, the lobster Mac and cheese is RICH but so good. I had the NY strip and it was cooked perfectly with a very nice and even char on the outside. We really enjoyed our dining experience. Will definitely make an effort to come back!
The food was incredibly good. NY Prime steak melts in your mouth. Great wine selection. Dessert was sinful.
This was my first visit to 21 Main and I was very impressed. Our server was very friendly and informative. The food was great. I will definitely be back.
Service and Food - Very good. Will definitely dine here again. Ambiance is very nice. A little noisy due to the open ceilings. Restaurant Week 2020.
The food was the best! The staff were wonderful!! Such a great dinner!
Everything was first class. The food, the service, our table were all perfect
Great place to celebrate New Years Eve!!!
EXtremely pricey. Guests were in shorts, flip-flops, jeans and ball caps. Not what we expected. Very loud. Did not see price of drinks on menu. If you want an entree under $35, do not make a reservation. I will say our waitress was very attentive and nice.
Waiter was excellent and most informative. Meal was very good
Amazing dining experience. Steak was amazing and appetizers were delicious.
Simply the best on The Strand every time. Fine dining and 5 star.
An excellent meal. Great experience with great friends !!!!
Service table selection was perfect food is always prepared exceptionally
Excellent Food Steaks were cooked perfectly. Nicely decorated for Christmas
Would definitely return for a special occasion.
After several holiday trips to 21 Main, I think the excitement and fascination is diminishing. While it was a good option, without any particular "events", it's just not the same level of special as in past years.
To start with, it is indeed what I'd call a finer dining establishment. Table cloths, napkins, tables set, candles, servers in ties, well decorated, the prices and "smart casual" dress recommendation run contrary to the plethora of jeans, tee shirts, shorts and flip-flops which reduced the ambiance and atmosphere for great food, great service and great environment. While there is a time and place for relaxed, casual dining, 21 Main does not seem to be the place and this, not the time, Christmas night. Oh well, life goes on.
Forgoing an appetizer with the intent of enjoying dessert, we started with some good house cocktails, both of which were tasty and rather unique. Bravo!
Entrees included the two specials for the night; Colorado Rack of Lamb and Chilean Sea Bass. Both dishes were ample, hot and well presented. the four ribs came with al dente asparagus and rosemary roasted red potatoes. The lamb was nearly fork tender, came the requested medium well and was very flavorful. Nothing special about the accompaniments.
Sea Bass came with some great crab stuffed polenta and tasty Brussels sprouts with bacon and a honey and mustard glaze. The fish was thoroughly cooked, very flaky and had a bit of a crunch to the surfaces. All was very good and greatly enjoyed. Dessert brought us the Chocolate Spring Roll with chocolate, caramel and whipped cream dips and the Carrot Cake, not quite as expected. They were both fresh and flavorful and of good proportions.
About all was as expected but, due to situation not involving food or service, the price exceeded the value a fair amount. Depending on your wants for the evening, be informed of this possibility.
We had a fantastic Christmas dinner at 21 Main. The food was outstanding. Out steaks were cooked to perfection, desserts were delicious and the service from Charlene was professional, friendly and efficient. It was our first time eating there and we will definitely be back.
service was poor, steak was tough, overpriced, would not go back
Best filet and ribeye we had in a long time, prepared perfectly melted in your mouth. The atmosphere for the season was right on and the staff for being Christmas eve were great. The ala carte Oscar style Crabmeat over asparagus with Hollandaise sauce was outstanding. For desert a unique chocolate spring roll with three dipping sauces whip cream, warm caramel and cherry jubilee great.
Visiting your venue was wonderful celebrating Christmas!! Our food overall was outstanding as we all chose steak. The spinach side dish was the BEST I have ever been served!! We did order a baked potato which was cold, however our server offered a dessert for its replacement. The chosen dessert, bananas foster, was outstanding.
Great food but cold sterile environment not very festive for holiday season
Wonderful meal and experience for our vacation and anniversary dinner! Will definitely return!
Brie appetizer comes with a homemade caramel sauce which is awesome (that sauce should be available on dessert menu), excellent steak. Good wine selection, service was excellent, and wonderful salad. The only thing we were not happy with were the sides.
GREAT dinner! We appreciated the wonderful service and thoughtfulness of our server.
He was aware that my Mom was GF and made sure that she received her entree and vegetables as such.
The atmosphere was excellent.
This is one of the best on the Grand Strand. Food has been excellent along with the service.
Very good food. We were able to take advantage of the winter special...otherwise it would have been pricey.
Best place on the beach
Superb atmosphere, Outstanding food, top notch service. High End dining experience.
Simply the best from beginning to end with a great wine recommendation from Steve.
We enjoyed the three course meal deal very much. It was flexible and included excellent options. We loved the food and the attentive service and will definitely be back.
Food was overly salted. Ruined the sea bass dish. For $45 price it wasn't worth it.
