Great outdoor dining with a new menu
Likely not going back after dining here many times. Always liked the wine offering, but we were inundated with ants on the outdoor dining, we asked to be moved, but the next table wasn’t much better. We our hurried out. Would have been nice if a manager came over to check in but never did. Waiter was not very experienced, again previous visits impressed us with foodies as waiters. A shame, with all the dining options available, sorry to take 20 Brix off the rotation.
We had a really delicious dinner. Everything was prepared well and had a great presentation. They also have a very nice wine list! The locally sourced menu had lots to offer and we were happy with all of our selections!
This was our first visit, as we were in the area. The food was very good, but it is expensive. We had shrimp/scallops/sausage entrée that was $26...that was fair enough, although the portion was not large. The hamburger - with bacon and an egg was $20. This is a lot to charge for a hamburger, even though it was good and there was no substitutions allowed from the French fries. I understand that locally sourced ingredients cost more, but this was quite expensive. They DO have an extensive wine list - pages and pages, although, the prices seemed high as well. There were no happy hour "deals" at all, even before 6:00 on a Wednesday.
We had lunch at 20 Brix. Comments:
1. The bowl of tomato bisque was served barely one step above cold. The health department would not approve.
2. The chicken on my grilled chicken sandwich was grilled to blackened, and grilled to a hard toughness. WAY TO PRICEY FOR THE QUALITY OF THE SANDWICH.
3. The Moscato was excellent.
4. Probably needed one additional server for the Monday lunch bunch that finally showed up.
5. Even on Monday at 12N the outside seating became very noisy - automobile/truck noise and chatter noise from next table too close to us.
Food – lousy. You can certainly do better.
Wine – good.
Service – adequate – just barely.
Reservation via Open Table.
We love 20 Brix for the great wine selection, local sourced always changing menu and excellent attentive service.
We travel over an hour to eat at 20 Brix, and it's well worth it. We look forward to the next time!
The service and food were fantastic. Had the market pasta, on that day it was lobster and it was a very good meal.
We have eaten at 20Brix on multiple occasions. As locals, we very much want this restaurant to succeed. This must have been an off night. Usually we are very pleased with our meals. This started well with bacon wrapped dates which were quite good. But both entrees, the monkfish and the specialty pasta were below expectations. We will give them another try, but at that price we hope to have a better experience in the future.
Boyfriend and I happened upon this place by chance on the way.back to Columbus. Such a charming spot. Service was great (thank you, Allyson!). Food was amazing. We sat on the patio, which is super cute and cozy. They even had a blanket for me when it cooled off. Awesome experience. Definitely recommend.
Always great food. Menu changes regularly. We love this restaurant.
Used to be our go to restaurant but no more; the last few times we've there, we've both been disappointed with the food and service.
While visiting Cincinnati, and being unfamiliar with the area, we turned to OpenTable and through it found this place. We had grilled Brussels sprouts as an appetizer, then Cabbage soup (a delightfully creamy concoction) and the flatbread pizza of the day along with two glasses of excellent wine-by-the-glass. All dishes were superb – who would have thought to put roasted grapes on flatbread? The pace was leisurely but attentive. We’ll be in the area a few days more and just might go back again.
Steak was fine, but vegetables unpalatable. Small menu. Service lovely.
Met a colleague for lunch on the veranda which was, for the most part very lovely on a beautiful spring day. When a refrigeration unit truck pulled up and parked still noisily running on the street right beside us, shattering our tranquil ambiance, we mentioned it to our server and the manager had it moved away within just a minute. When a sudden cloudburst let loose in the middle of our meal, our server whisked us over to a more sheltered table and we enjoyed the soothing din of the rain on the canvas overhead which "mostly" kept the rain off our heads save for a few drops here and there. The Sharable: "Brussels Sprouts with Sesame Honey Mustard, Lime, Pickled Onion" was out of this world! The "Baby Arugula Salad with Shaved Radish, Parmesan, Grilled Lemon Vinaigrette" was perfectly topped with a large grilled salmon filet.
Great place to eat. Nice staff, great wine list. We like it.
We had a birthday/engagement celebration for a friend and had a great time! Food was really good, server was just the right amount of attentive. Love the wine list and you all are so gracious if one doesn't care for the small pour tasting.
Had a really nice evening thanks to the staff and chef. My date for the evening eats pretty lightly and asked to put together a smaller dish from the appetizers. The staff and management could not have been more gracious. The food that was served was delicious. They have an impressive wine list but also a surprisingly good Bourbon menu as well. I will be back, thanks!
Great food, great service. Highly recommend this place.
Always good food and friendly service; wine list never disappoints. Chef Paul changes the menu frequently to take advantage of offerings from local farms.
We love LOVE 20 Brix, we have been regulars for years. The Chef is amazing, unique menu items (not weird, awesome) & the specials are ALWAYS special, you can’t go wrong. The servers are true Foodies and Wine savvy, you can count on their recommendations based on your likes. 20 Brix is a true local Bistro. Already thinking of when we will be back.
My wife and I sat outside, it was a beautiful night. The waiter had a great wine recommendation and the food was delicious . We are definitely looking forward to going back.
Our dinner was amazing as always! Best service in town! Definitely our favorite patio in town!
We introduced 20 Brix to another couple who loved it. We like the new menu and service was excellent.
Our favorite place! Terrific service and outstanding food by caring, competent staff and management. A real gem!
Great food and wine for our 4 year anniversary!
after receiving an email claiming I failed to keep my reservation, I will probably not go back.
We really had a fantastic dinner. The server was also very courteous and helped to give us a table outside. I had the pasta of the day, fusilli with slow cooked lamb meat and peas: outstanding. We also had the vegetarian dish and still today we were talking how good it was. We finished with macaroons that are made with very creative flavors (eg pop corn, outstanding).
This restaurant has been there for more than 10 years now. I have to say that I believe they have constantly continued to step up their game and this dinner was the confirmation of this. Well done to the team and we will continue to come back!
Food was very good. Love the outdoor seating. Menu was varied.
Service and food was wonderful. Great place
Loved our server; sorry can’t remember his name. Asparagus and monkfish were outstanding. Loved cheesecake and ice wine. Made our anniversary wonderful!
Great as always
Have been here several times. Our go to place when in Cinci area..
The folks at 20 Brix are A+. Great service, amazing food, and fun atmosphere.
This is now a regular for mine and my husband's date nights. The menu is always changing and it's such a great spot to go and relax. Love this place and I'm only sad I didn't start going there sooner.
We went for the wine. Thinking we could do a wine tasting, not the case. They will sell you two ounce pours but that gets expensive if you want to try several wines. Even with tasting, wife and I could not find one we liked. Switched to drinks for dinner. Food was very good so would go back for the food.
Upscale casual environment. Friendly and professional staff. Service was excellent. The Lamb special was fantastic.
Another wonderful meal. Had the Vegetarian Sweet Potato entree and it was delicious. Can’t wait till next time
All good 🍷😀
