Nice selection of wine. Food selections were creative, flavor was good, temperature was just warm. It would be helpful to have wait staff that are familiar enough with the menu to be able to answer ingredient questions for customers dealing with food intolerance, food allergy, or who are vegetarian or vegan. Another option would be to identify menu items on the menu itself that contain common allergens or identify any vegetarian or vegan choices.
First visit to 20 Brix; wife & I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, food/beverage & service. Jeffrey guided us through the extensive wine list along with providing starter, entree & dessert recommendations. My flat iron pork dish was prepared perfectly; my wife stated her salmon dinner was the best ever experienced. 20 Brix is now on our short list of “must return to” restaurants!
Second visit here and it wont be the last. The staff is amazing (Tony was great at helping us with wine selections). Menu changes with local offerings and we look forward to it every time. Meat and Cheese board was delicious as was the Scallops and Shrimp dish. Cant wait to try again soon.
Another great dinner at 20 Brix with Chef Paul. My husband and I split the fried quail and the seafood special (crab-stuffed sole); my son had a beautiful strip steak cooked to perfection. My only (long-standing) complaint is that the beer menu is lacking. All of Cincinnati is gung-ho about the craft beer movement, and yet there are still less than a half dozen craft beer offerings. Perhaps they can start carrying something from their new neighbor, Little Miami Brewing??
20 Brix is absolutely the best restaurant we’ve ever eaten in. They have a great menu and the food is always fantastic. We love the ‘farm to table’ approach and the food is always beautifully presented. 20 Brix has also become our Christmas Eve family tradition!
Our server Robin was great as well!
Chef Paul does the best menus. He changes it up seasonally, uses fresh and local ingredients when he can and has an impeccable palate. We love all of his menus and have yet to be disappointed. It's great for date night, for groups and get togethers. Great staff and service.
Very nice place. Relaxing and out of the busy big city circus. Definitely suggest trying it out for the “first-date” meetings and the special occasions. We will be going back, been there a few times and have never been disappointed. The menu is always changing so there is never a “same-ol, same-ol” dining. Staff is excellent and for the wine-lover, huge selection.
We arrived early on a Saturday so noise level was very low. Our food was good, servers were very attentive and friendly. The menu items and dinner specials were explained so we didn't have any questions. Pricing for beer and wine were a little pricey for the venue. Overall, it very good, but it would not be an every week destination point for me.
We recently enjoyed an exceptional dining experience at 20 Brix. We started with the lamb meatballs as an appetizer and the daily bread special - both were delicious. My husband had pork, my friend had crab cakes and I had the shrimp and scallops -- all three entrees were fabulous! Incredible wine list -- wines available by the glass or bottle.
Excellent food, fantastic wine list with countless options by the glass. Had a perfect steak, appetizers (bread with tomato cream sauce, mushroom with fried egg bruschetta), salad--all delicious. Wonderful desserts (carrot lava cake, lemon berry marscapone cake). Perfectly paced service. Haven't been here for a few years, need to come back sooner!
A special holiday lunch that wasn't special due to the mediocre yet expensive food at 20 Brix. An underwhelming salad of small size for $8, an OK pizza, cold and tasteless crabcake sliders... the best part of the meal was the delicious ciabatta bread we asked for to begin.
noise level was energetic in a good way. everyone ordered and received exactly what they wanted and it was a great choice for a birthday celebration and to introduce out of town guests to the restaurant! fantastic wine selection and great recommendations. the pace of the night was perfect.
This is the worst Friday evening dining experience we’ve have ever had! The restaurant was cold, the flowers on the table were wilted and the food was horrible. We ordered cocktails and bread service for $4.00, which was one slice of bread cut in half covered in melted cheese. We looked at each other in astonishment!
My husband ordered a burger and I felt like something lighter so I ordered their sweet potato entree. Don’t order it — unless you want to pay $15 for a smashed sweet potato with thinly sliced apples and a few greens — which could have easily blown off the plate while she served the dish! Our bill was $75, which is outrageous for a Milford village establishment! Save your money ...
Way too much going on with the menu. To many ingredients combined for each item to where the quality of the meal was negatively impacted. Sometimes less is more. Everything was heavy and/or saucy. Even the "lighter things" such as the arugula salad were drenched in cheese and dressing. Have been there several times and love the place but the food needs some definite improvement if we are going to continue to go there.
