My husband and I love this place! It is at the top of our list for a special night out. Amazing food and great service!
Favorite place on canton St. Always outstanding
Sitting on the outside patio on a glorious spring day with great drinks and good food. The service was great. The restaurant was really busy but the service and food were both excellent!
In all due respect. This was during St Patricks day evening. The place was packed. I would imagine the next time we will go will not be on a holiday. The drinks were great. The Food was great. It was just load and crowded. I will definitely go back and give it another try. The food was creative and tasty.
Went there for dinner on St Pats day...amazed by the number of people in Roswell that day! Food was great, fast service on a very busy day.
I love the tuna tacos. My husband enjoyed the shrimp/lobster pasta special. Seafood was cooked just right and the sauce was light and tasty.
Seated next to the kitchen so noise level was excessive and wait personnel were congregating next to the table all evening waiting for their orders.
The décor and vibe was calm yet energetic. Our waitress was very attentive and went out of her way to accommodate my medical need for gluten free food. The menu was extensive and the food was absolutely delicious and promptly served!! I will return soon!
Been here 5 times and never disappoints. Try the tuna or Seabass, excellent.
Had a reservation for 7:45, but didn’t get seated until 8:20. My burger was good, but my wife’s fish wasn’t the freshest
Great food! Fun atmosphere, but very loud.
Food was great. The server and manager were very nice, and the food came out quickly. Only down-side was it was very noisy, especially from a group yelling at the bar the entire night. We will definitely go again but will request a table in the back or outside to avoid the noise at the bar.
Excellent experience from the moment we walked in the door. The hostess was very welcoming and seated us immediately. Our server was gracious and attentive but not intrusive. She made recommendations based on stated tastes. The manager stopped by the table to make sure everything was too our liking. The food!! The mussels in the herb sauce were the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot of mussels..) The tuna was outstanding, perfectly prepared :)
It had been awhile since I'd been to 1920 but won't be before I return.
We had the best time in a little booth near the kitchen windows. Our waiter was the nicest guy ever and so much fun. The food was excellent and our handcrafted cocktails were so fresh and tasty. 1920 has quickly become one of my favorite places to take people in Roswell. Every time I have been here, the staff has been amazing. We will be back soon for sure!
Enjoyed a nice business lunch. Server was very good. Let us sit and chat without bothering us for a while (was observant and refilled beverages). When we were ready to order, she explained a few items and our food came out as ordered. She also kept our beverages refilled even though we stayed and continued to chat after eating. Food was good (I had a roast beef sandwich with a side of fried brussel sprouts instead of fries). Restaurant has a nice trendy look but it was relatively quiet as it was not very busy and easy to carry on a conversation over lunch. My second time recently choosing this place for a business lunch and not disappointed either time.
Our server (Sam) was outstanding. Great service, very knowledgeable and rich conversations.
Svc was good, food was better than avg. We had a variety of menu items. All were good. Svc was fast and friendly. Seating was cramp.
Tight seating with a quick, rushed turnover. One of the hostesses would walk very slowly, multiple times, through the aisle of tables, make eye contact with a person from each table for about 2 seconds, pivot, and continue onto the next table implying the tables were needed for the next guests. We could not even fully get out of our cramped two person table before a bus boy was standing in way waiting to clear our table. Spinach and artichoke dip was not good, but our entrees and desserts were very good.
Always so good. Love the menu choices, the Mediterranean Salmon is a great mix of flavors and the salmon is always very fresh and cooked exactly to my specification. Service is always good but this time we received exceptional service from Ari. His smile was a mile wide, he had such a positive attitude, and he was so friendly and accommodating. Really added an extra plus to a great meal. Thank you Ari :)
The staff are wonderful hear and the food was great!
it was very pleasant experience, staffs were very charming and generous. Food was very good !
Food was very good, dessert delicious. Not the atmosphere for a quiet, romantic evening, but good service. A great place for dinner out with friends!
I liked this spot though I gotta say I felt a little misled by their website. The website photos and description might lead one to think this is a nice spot for a date or for wine tasting but the atmosphere is definitely more of a tavern / bar. I brought my wife here thinking it'd be a nice romantic meal but it was a little more casual than what I'd intended.
Still, great food and the service was good. If you're looking for a casual spot to have lunch or dinner with good food and a good drink menu this is a great place.
The 1920 Tavern has an excellent menu that includes seafood, beef and chicken dishes. The restaurant also has a good selection of appetizers and salads. There is a diverse selection of beers and wines to choose from. The food we ordered was delicious and the portions were generous. Our service was excellent and dinner was delivered after we finished our appetizer. The dress code is casual but you will see people dressed up a bit as well. We enjoyed dinner and plan to come back again soon.
We have had good food but Saturday night was not the case. I order a wedge salad for $8 that came with one egg cut in half, two small tomatoes cut in half, and a tsp of grocery store bag bacon pieces. It was so skimpy. I ordered the sea bass and my veggies and fish were sitting in a puddle of butter in the bottom of my plate. I had to use my napkin to wipe up some of the butter but it didn’t help. Definitely not upscale for the price and location.
My son-in-law is a foodie, and recommended 1920 Tavern for the quality of the food. It did not disappoint! I was very pleasantly surprised by everything - the food, the service, the ambiance. Everything. The pork ribeye with cranberry chutney was simply delicious. Wife had the southern fried chicken, which was equally outstanding. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Love Jenna and Howard, they always make us feel special.
This was such an amazing and personal meal. The waiter walked us through every aspect of the menu, provided recommendations and then presented a delicious meal. I would go again and again if I lived in the area.
Excellent service. Our server, believe his name was Jason, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and had just an all around good attitude. The food was excellent and something a little different than our usual.
Love that our fave server from Swallow (Liz) is there now.
We celebrated my husband's retirement at 1920. The back section of the restaurant is a little less noisy...which is where we sat. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience: great food and excellent service.
Upon making the reservation I specifically requested a table in the front. We were going for a business dinner, and having been to this restaurant I knew how loud it was in the back of the house. The hostess called to confirm the reservation the day of, and assured me we would be in the front. We arrived about 15 min early and waited in the bar for our clients.
Lo and behold when the hostell came to seat us, we were shown to the back.
She apologized and said that was all there was available. Being with clients, I didn't want to make a big deal but as I suspected, conversation was impossible.
This restaurant serves good food, but is not well managed.
Great food and fun place. The owners take great care to come around and check on their patrons
Great improvement since our last visit! Extremely attentive management and servers! Food was much better as well! Our two prior experience were mediocre at best but this visit was outstanding!
Kudos to the management for much needed improvements!
Our waiter, Patrick, was great. My friends and I were too busy talking to order and Patrick was so patient with us and he really knew the menu and the drink options. Great guy and great restaurant. We'll be back.
1920 is our happy place!! Thank you Rich for always remembering us and making every single visit special! We ❤️ you guys!
My friends and I had a great time at 1920 Tavern. I'm a vegetarian & I had plenty of options. Not every restaurant is vegetarian friendly. We were very happy!
We had a fabulous waiter, and the management was very nice. For our lunch, we started with a delicious warm pimento cheese dip that had bacon jam on top. It was served with wedges of pita that were excellent. We really didn’t get enough pita, so we asked for more.
Some friends ordered the daily special, which was nice. Another got the brisket barbecue and Cole slaw sandwich. It looked delicious, and we were told it was. The Brussels sprouts were good as well. We will definitely be returning
First off, the server, Lizzie was an A+. We went to 1920 Tavern because it was Roswell Restaurant Week with specials. As it turned out, ordering the exact same items from the regular menu were less expensive so the specials were not specials at all. I ordered the Jenny’s sandwich which was fine but a small and not-outstanding sandwich for $11.00. My friend ordered the Bartlett pear salad which came without any pears at all. And, the candied walnuts were not candied at all. Lizzie brought her pears on the side and they were not edible. Overall, her $12 salad was lettuce with a few plain walnuts thrown in and one tiny ball of goat cheese. Not a great experience, sadly. We were hoping for an amazing lunch. I was quite disappointed, also, that I had to pay $5.00 in order to park in the lot near the restaurant. When I noticed the $5 fee, I called the restaurant to ask if I had other parking choices because I don’t know the area. They told me NO, I had to pay $5.00 and park there. My friend parked on the street for free, but I wasn’t told there was free parking nearby. Overall, this was a bust. We were disappointed.
