Overall the restaurant was nice and the food was excellent. But it was also very pricey
Very mediocre hotel restaurant. Service seemed attentive but food took a very long time coming from the kitchen. And the food itself was nothing special, merely serviceable.
It was a nice little spot before our conference. Service was a little slow but the server was very friendly.
Not sure what happened with tonight's service. It appeared there was 1 waiter for the entire venue. Bourbon bacon had no flavor and was over cooked, biscuits over cooked. The cocktails were good.
My steak was way overcooked. I ordered med rare and received well done. Sent it back once and it came out about the same the second time. I'd expect a lot better for a 40.00 meal. Everyone else's meal was quite nice.
Had the buffet breakfast, not particularly worth the $28 I ended up paying including tip. Best bit was the omelette station, everything else was pretty poor unfortunately
It’s unfortunate that I had a fabulous Easter brunch. Same price point , very different experiences. Highlights included Omelette Bar, and the Prime Rib. The dessert bar was a big disappointment, especially the Bananas Foster French Toast. This could have been a highlight but the French Toast was not in a warmer and cold. Service was on point, but there was not a lot that could be done to salvage the disappointment. Unless they lower the price 20% go elsewhere.
A prior reviewer mentioned how good the food was. We wanted to try a new restaurant and selected 1913 without a preconceived idea of what to expect. The food was excellent and beautifully presented.

We could not get into any other restaurant due to a large convention until 8:45 PM. The service and food were very good and the noise was minimal which was appreciated for our business dinner.
1913 Restaurant is located just inside the Omni hotel and was very easy to find. Very pleasant staff. Our waiter was hard to find sometimes and didn't check on us very often. The restaurant wasn't very busy. Good shrimp cocktail, not too "hot." Ceasar salad was wilted and not fresh. I had the maple-glazed pork chops and they were outstanding! My wife had the pan-roasted chicken which was very dry. Paying $18 for a 9 oz glass of wine always drives me crazy, when the whole bottle costs $10 at Kroger. Overall, we like other restaurants much better & don't plan to return to 1913.
I’m sorry others had a bad experience. Not us, Everything was very good to excellent. My shrimp cocktail was well chilled and a nice size; my wife’s arugula-pear salad was enjoyable. Our entrees were superb...she had the pan fried chicken which was moist and the accompanying gravy was over the top. I thoroughly enjoyed the walleye which was served atop a bed of wild rice pilaf with a proper amount of a creamy scallion sauce flowing over both. The asparagus we opted for was perfectly prepared and was plentiful. The rolls were very nice as well. Aya, the young lady who kept our glasses filled, was especially sweet and attentive.
We had planned to share a piece os sugar cream pie but were simply too full.
We will return.
Had the walnut crusted walleye on whole grain rice and it was delicious! Had to splurge on dessert and we shared the delightful sugar cream pie with raspberry-yum!
Tried Devour Indy menu. Everyone in our group said their dinner was just ok. My salmon rub was very salty and the corn was like spooned from a can, carrots were raw. Not impressed
Service was great and the food was very tasty. Just a little pricey but not too bad.

Oysters Rockefeller were under cooked and too much bread crumbs. Menu too limited on Christmas Day. Complimentary drink a nice touch. Flatbread was just ok. Christmas music would have made a better atmosphere.
Stopped for breakfast before a football game and the staff was not prepared for the amount of business. Service was slow and order was wrong. Food was average for what would be expected to be a good restaurant.
We came because of the food being from surrounding farms.
It just wasn’t as good as we expected. Walleye wasn’t very flavorful. Salmon was ok.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet. This was our first time here for Thanksgiving. We will definitely come back.

Excellent food, but like all the other restaurants near the convention center, given the very good quality, the prices are still way overpriced. Seems that location, location, location = taxes and realestate costs = over the top unrealistic pricing.
Convention Center location (realestate and probably taxes) must be part of why this and all area restaurants are way overpriced. Foot quality is quite good, but still $200 including tip for 4 people is
way over the top, even with drinks.
We dined at 1913 before the Duke/Ky basketball game and they had a prix fix menu. We had a reservation but only 6 other people were in the large dining room when we were there at 5:30. Hamburger was excellent, salmon added to Caesar was a generous portion but musty tasting. Service was very good. No atmosphere but good for a casual spot to dine.
The food was very good! I had the Bourbon glazed pork chop. It was juicy and tasted wonderful! The sweet potatoe & kail hash was very good as well.
We ate dinner on a Saturday night at 5:00pm before we went to a concert. We were the only ones in the restaurant. I liike that the rstaurant is right off the lobby, but I especially liked that we were seated back in a corner that allowed us to see outside and away from the noise of the lobbey. FYI ... we were the only ones in the restaurant during our entire meal. Not sure if it gets busier furing the week nights.
Very nice atmosphere. Food was delicious !!! Kept our drinks full and didn’t make us feel rushed at any time.
The deviled egg appetizer was spectacular. Sadly, my NY Strip steak was over cooked, then it was sent back to me raw. Finally on the third attempt it was as close as it was going to get. No attempt at apologizing, and no effort was made to make me happy. My date was completely done with her dinner by the time my 3rd steak arrived. Very dissatisfied and disappointing. Steak that did arrive was average at best. The quality was lacking and it was a very thin piece of meat. I felt as if the cut of meat could have been of the Kroger Quality. Not worth 32 dollars.

We had a bit of trouble locating the restaurant, as we didn't recall reading it was inside the hotel. :) Very friendly and helpful person answered the phone when I called regarding the reservation. Equally wonderful host greeted us upon entry and exit. The salmon was good and the filet was incredibly delicious! The ambiance was perfect. Thanks to all! It was definitely worth finding!!!

There was no signage outside to help find the place. The food was mediocre. The service was slow. We seemed to be an imposition to the waiter even though he didn't seem to have other tables.
Showed up on prom night when the city was full of teens enjoying the evening. We were one of two tables and the atmosphere was very nice. The waiter was very attentive and the service and food were extraordinary. I will certainly be back for another visit soon.
We had a lovely meal with attentive service. The rolls are simply delicious, fresh ingredients with great prepration. The meatlball appetizer is very nice, the sweet potato kale hash is a must.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Easter Brunch Buffet at 1931. Located in the Omni Severin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis, the restaurant put out a beautiful and delicious spread. While not as elaborate or extensive as other holiday buffets, it was also considerably less expensive. They had all the essentials for a good brunch, and threw in a few tasty surprises. One of my pet peeves is Eggs Benedict, which most places destroy. Their were perfect, fresh and not dried out; nicely toasted English Muffin, a thick slice of smoked ham (okay, it wasn't Canadian Bacon, but it was good,) well-cooked poached egg with a runny yolk, and lots of delicious Hollandaise Sauce. In addition to the breakfast items, they had a great assortment of cold salads, cheeses, smoked salmon and trout, and other tasty morsels. They also had perfectly roasted carved Prime Rib and Leg of Lamb, and an assortment of hot accompaniments. The dessert selection, while small, included French macarons and assorted mini-cheesecakes and chocolate-peanut butter pies.
All in all, a great holiday brunch well worth the cost. Oh, and it included free valet parking, a real plus.
We picked this hotel due to character and location of the city. The atmosphere was perfect, with that being said there was only one waiter on staff on a Saturday evening. We had to wait for a while for our food and even ask before it was brought to us warm. However, the overall experience was still very nice and staff was friendly.
We went to this restaurant on a Friday night. It was not super crowded so we were waited on promptly. The food was just ok. My associate ordered a medium steak and it was served rare so it was sent back. Several of us ordered the crusted walleye and it tasted over cooked. Bottom line is the food was just ok and I would not recommend it return.
