BBQ Mashed Potatoes

Disappointing to previous visits. Food was cold and for KC BBQ not very distinctive. Good service though nothing special. Likely stick to Pecan Lodge in future.
If never had KC style, still worth a visit and may just have been a bad day as the place was empty and likely understaffed.
Good drink and draft menu and nice happy hour deals you can try.
Outstanding barbecue with an incredibly rich sauce. Sides were big enough share. Service was great and mixed drinks were excellent.
Our server was awesome. The barbecue was good but not anything special.
Great service and happy hour deals!
Called twice during the week to see what were
July 4 hours . Told twice open till 6 :00
Our 4 o’clock reservation was met @3:50 with a front door sign saying closing At 4:00. The manager said “we were waiting for you”. The manager seemed to be preoccupied with things , took our drink orders and and went on his way. When our dining friends showed up late and wanted to order , our server was friendly and explained the menu. She was great , the manager was more interested in having us eat and go as someone was coming by to see if our plates were clear so they could remove and look forward to closing . The bbq and sides were tasty and a good value. July 4th was not a good day for this restaurant.
Best BBQ I've ever had - cute place - loved the R&B music
last min. reservation was accepted. the restaurant was so kind, they accommodated a seating change into the bar area. Nice mixed tunes from pop to old classics with a bit of motown thrown in. Drinks arrived ice cold and hit the Friday after a long week spot. Food hot and yummy. Everything was delicious. Thanks for feeding us!
A large party from my company decided to go to the restaurant and were very satisfied
Food was decent, but not to the level it used to be. Biggest issue was walking in, and the server that greeted us told us it would be a hour wait, because we didn’t have a reservation. I opened open table, and booked one for 10 mins later. This was 7:34 and booked for 7:45. Walked back in. A new employee greeted us, went to the server that told us it was a hour wait, and then took the iPad to the back, before the original server that greeted us, sat us at a table that had been available the entire time. I know. That was a lot. The only reason we hadn’t made a reservation prior, was because there were reservations available throughout the entire night, so didn’t seem needed.
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Our waiter Jacoby was awesome - he made several great recommendations and everyone enjoyed their food. The brisket is a must!
Service was slow. Food w
I had a reservation but they were closed for a private party. Makes no sense to accept reservations yet closed. The person who came to the door to explain to me and my guest as well as other customers was very rude and didn't seem to care people showed up to eat and had reservations and just unprofessionally said oh well. Would NEVER go back
Grandson was in town. Before moving, it was one of his favorites.
I know there are wide and varying opinions when it comes to barbecue but I have to give this place an “F”. The Texas Barbecue Association, if there is such a thing, should pull their license. First off, the burnt ends appetizer is a joke. It’s 7 or 8 pieces of what appear to be just brisket soaked in not so good sauce. Not a burnt end. Second, the pit beans reminded me of the can of pork and beans my mother used to server when I was growing up in LA - discussing. And the sausage - really, what is this. It’s nothing like sausage I’ve ever tasted. The texture isn’t even reminiscent of sausage. I would rate the brisket maybe a B+. And for the value, I would say this place rates a “D”. Serving size and cost don’t seem to be on the same playing field. I would recommend almost any other barbecue place in Dallas, and there are a tone of them, before I would visit 18&Vine.
Upscale BBQ at its best! The turkey salad was so unique and the portion was huge. The brisket was extremely juicy!
The food and drinks were quite good and the prices were excellent. The dining room is pretty ordinary, though and the A/C was set too low.
We celebrated my daughter’s high school graduation here. Morgan, our host, was wonderful! She was able to accommodate our party of 15. The food was delicious. The music was right. Overall great experience!
Quite disappointing, actually. We have been to 18th & Vine many times and had considered it a family favorite. So much so, that we brought family visiting from out of town to our “favorite BBQ spot.” Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to our expectations. Even though we were only 1 of 3 parties dining in the restaurant, the service was painfully slow. It took more than 10 minutes for them to bring us an empty water glass to drink water that was placed in the table. When ordering drinks it was discovered that they were out of stock on 5 of the 8 beers listed on their menu. When ordering food, they were out of stock on multiple appetizer, side dish and dessert options—at least they had BBQ. All in all it was a disappointing experience.
Great location and atmosphere!!! The fried okra is amazing!!!
Great service. Good place to grab local beers on tap a great barbecue. Always leave satisfied.
The food was good, service started off great until the restaurant got busy. Overall it was great, I'd go back
Good food very nice server. The outside tables are nice.
Morgan was great. Great service and great food.
We had reservations on a Wednesday at 6:30 and were seated promptly but waited almost 20 minutes for anyone to take our drink order and then waited an additional 30 minutes before we received our drinks. Our waitress was very nice but this was not a good experience. I"ll give it another try in hopes this was just an off night.
I had high expectations for our visit to 18th & Vine BBQ, and was disappointed multiple ways. Maybe I should have been concerned when I was able to make a Saturday night reservation at 7:30 p.m. with no problem, and walked in to see half of the tables empty. We ended up being seated upstairs on a small table for 2, in what is normally a bar area (now vacated because of Covid precautions).
We started with an appetizer order of the well-known Kansas City burnt ends, except these burnt ends bore no resemblance to what i've enjoyed in KC on multiple visits there. Sauce was good. That's all I can say. The dish was loaded with fat, hardly crisp (as I would expect burnt ends), and wholly unsatisfactory. I should have sent it back.
My entrée was two meats with one side dish --- slow cooked brisket and sausage. The brisket also contained much too much fat, and the brisket didn't seem to have any consistency. The sausage was, in my opinion, inedible. Not at all like Texas sausage I've had in many other locations. Yich!!
My partner's chopped salad was just okay. Too much weird lettuce items. We both enjoyed a decent tasting order of fried okra.
Service by Jacoby was excellent, which rescued one star. There's no sense giving this restaurant a second chance. This was a really bad experience but for the service and the BBQ sauce itself.
Met my cousin visiting from Ohio. We had a pleasant experience, the food was just ok, the service was good, not crowded had reservations sat right down with no wait.
Great food. Fantastic service. Perfect atmosphere.
Only answered lower on service this time because it took longer than usual to get our food. They had a couple of larger parties in at same time which backed up the kitchen a bit.
Great food, service and all. What a great way to wrap up a busy week.
Last night’s bartender was great! We loved her
Great BBQ awesome atmosphere and our waiter/bartender (Blake)was outstanding.
Bbq wasn’t very hot/fresh, some of it better than others but service was good.
The food was just OK. Since we were sitting outside, the street noise from cars was a bit loud but otherwise the porch is nice for an early dinner on Saturday afternoon.
Brisket was ok but not Kansas City BBQ. Also, ribs were almost meatless and the meat was tough and chewy. The side of Jalepeno grits was really good so not a total loss of dining experience.
Drive from Frisco for our favorite bbq
We arrived to the Restaruant, and wait for 20 minutes to be seated.
They didn’t check on the app for the reservation.
Then seated we wait another 15 minutes to be attended for the first time by the waiter and it didn’t arrived to the table, so we preferred to leave the restaurant.
Unfortunately the were short in personnel of waiters.
Really nice staff - lunch is also a great value - gorgeous inside
1st time to visit. Brisket was tough, too salty and not very good. Sausage was soft and chewy inside...not very good either.
