18th & Vine BBQ – an upscale Kansas City barbeque, full-service restaurant and bar. A portion of the menu offers traditional Kansas City barbeque plates while the other is a selection of seasonal, composed chef-created dishes. Pit master Matt Dallman with award-winning chef Scott Gottlich have developed a unique menu in a comfortable yet casually chic environment. Traditional Kansas City BBQ is available for those interested in a pure barbeque experience. However, the collaboration between Dallman and Gottlich combines talents and knowledge of a classically trained chef with a self-taught pit master to push the boundaries of what can be accomplished with smoke and other barbeque techniques.
18th & Vine BBQ is open daily for lunch and dinner. A quaint upstairs bar/live music venue (The Roost) offers a separate bar experience/menu and open every night. The entire space is 3400 square feet with 100 seats downstairs in the main dining area and 30 seats upstairs at The Roost.

Delicious food. Our waitress was new so she wasn't all to familiar with some of the dishes but she did have the manager come over to answer our questions. The cauliflower steak was delicious. Nice atmosphere & friendly staff

Service and food were excellent. It wasn’t a packed night and they wouldn’t let us order happy hour off the menu. Totally lame. If we had known the drinks would’ve been 50% off just five steps away would have done that before dinner. Something to think about....

From a Kansas City BBQ aficionado, this was an oasis of beautifully smoked meat in the otherwise drab scene of Texas BBQ

Overall very good - excellent service and the food was good. I was disappointed at the overall price of the meal and for our party of 8 - an automatic 18% tip was included. Our waitress was stellar and I gave her more!

Great neighborhood place for dinner outside the uptown glam. The Okra is unbelievably awesome. Good bbq as well.

Food was spectacular but the portions were pretty small. We ordered the large combo platter (I forget the name) but it says feeds 4-6 but the portions were very small. If everyone wanted to try something you would only get an ounce or 2 of each. Some appetizers only had 3 pieces like the potato skins. Since there was 7 of us we ordered extra brisket and chicken. Still wasn’t really enough but overall the food was amazing.

Great find in Dallas, the service, food and atmosphere all top notch. Not to be missed is the burnt ends appetizer, yummy. It was so good I had it as my main course.

Do what we did and have the burnt ends as an appetizer. It's like having dessert first, but still getting your protein fix! The pulled pork and barbecued chicken (on my Two 'Cue Plate) was wonderful as always, and I had enough to take home for my omelet the next morning. Service was prompt and courteous without being annoying. One of my favorite lunch spots!

Great food! Large portions and amazing brisket. Sat night at 7 PM was not very busy but service was slow. Cocktails are 70% ice and very small actual drinks. May not return.

Friendly staff and warm environment provided a good start. Seated at a table and chairs the seating was not completely comfortable so request a booth if you are able. Burnt ends were a delightful beginning. Brisket and ribs entree was very well prepared and enjoyed throughout. Bbq sauce had just the right KC tangy edge.

I really wanted to love this restaurant, the ambience is cool, service very friendly & quick, but the BBQ was really just average. I’ve had much better at lots of other places in Dallas

We met our son for dinner - returning to the location of his wedding rehearsal dinner 3 months ago! Consistent with our prior experience, the BBQ is outstanding (the fried okra is to die for!), the service was friendly and efficient, the ambiance is “urban neighborhood” - so it’s a warm but stylish setting, and it’s a busy place - but not so much so that the patrons feel neglected. If you have the opportunity, step in The Roost - their upstairs bar and private dining room (if you reserve it, as we did for the wedding) - take a look. It was IDEAL for our group of 40! Same ambiance as downstairs but completely private. With REALLY nice bar and a private bathroom. HIGHLY recommend!

The restaurant did not have a record of our reservation! We were initially turned away! Only when we asked to see the manager did the hostess double check tables and find one for us!

Brisket was delicious and the BBQ sauce was a great mix of sweet and tangy!! Would definitely recommend the Brussels sprouts as well but the jalapeño cheese grits were a miss. Great service and the food came out very fast!

The staff was very pleasant 100% of the time.

The food was great (especially the Brussels sprouts), and I really liked the atmosphere. The restaurant is well maintained and clean.

Our server that night knew very little about what was on the menu, and ended up giving us misinformation on multiple occasions.

Not only would I go back, but I hope this place continues to see success. It’s the kind of interesting place that Dallas needs more of.

The burnt ends were outstanding as was all of the barbecue. Staff was very welcoming. The coleslaw was ok but I'm used to a different type. Overall, highly recommend this restaurant.

Everything about this experience was great which is why I was a repeat customer. Parking was easily accessible; immediate seating (both times-lunch and dinner); nice menu selection, quick friendly service, hot food that tasted good and reasonable prices with generous servings. What more can you ask for?
