1847 Bar and Grill
Blend of Dungeness and red crab, sauted golden and served with artichoke remoulade and apple slaw
Red wine marinated beef skewers, Rogue blue cheese dressing, tomato, crispy onions
Tillamook habanero jack cheese, Sambal mayo, jalapeno, crispy onions
Nice setting and service was very good. I was a little disappointed with my steak. My wife's meal was very good.
The ribeye steak was good, as were the baby back ribs. The dessert was a delicious chocolate cake with ice cream. We will order them all again.
Food and service was great. We love going to this place
Our favorite place for date night💗. I was disappointed they didn’t have prime rib or much of a wine list. I’m assuming that was because of COVID. But, very happy they were open!
We love our Waiter Carl. He is absolutely he best. The food is delicious and we go back as often as we can. Love this place
We were really disappointed with their service and food was cold. Was a birthday dinner for my husband, they had nothing special for him in the way of a desert or anything. Very disappointed in the waiters lack of service for us, its all about the service and pampering.
We enjoyed our 1st night here. We celebrated out 38th wedding anniversary. The waiter Nic, was excellent. He knew just how to take care of us. The food was outstanding and was looking forward to sharing the next evening with our daughter and her husband... for her fathers B-Day, what a disappointment..
Had reservation for 6:30pm and seated promptly when we arrived. Our waiter (believe Juan) was very good. We had one appetizer, I had rib eye special, others had Chicken Marsala, Fettucine Alfredo, and Cheeseburger/salad. The appetizer arrived in timely manner but dinner didn't arrive until 7:45pm and we had informed our waiter that we were going to drive in movie when we ordered. He was quite apologetic, but the delay in getting our entree's seemed excessive. They were all quite good (once steak knives arrived to make it easier to cut the meats). Got dessert to go (Chocolate Cake) and ate it at movie, it was very good. We would go back .
Had a very pleasant meal with attentive but not overbearing service. Waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful atmosphere. Presentation on food is wonderful, taste is a above average, but not phenomenal, price point is very fair.
We went recently (7/2020) and sat outside on the patio which was very nice. A little breezy but it was very nice. Only complaint is that the steak knifes were not sharp AT ALL! Which made cutting our steaks a little difficult but other than that, it's a very nice restaurant.
Always amazing food and fantastic service and the atmosphere is great! Love going here!
Everything was perfect. Drinks were great, food was delicious.
I would eat there again. Love the crab cakes and the steaks. The staff is great.
We came to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary with friends who also celebrated their 55th anniversary! The food was delicious, server was very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our time in such a lovely restaurant after being quarantined for3 months!
We usually really enjoy the food and service here. I ordered the wings, which were described as jumbo wings. These were definitely not jumbo - they were small to average size and were overcooked making them quite dry and flavorless. Definitely not worth $12. I mentioned this to the server who did not offer to do anything about it.
I have lots of grace for a place just opening back up, but an inaccurate description and overcooked food seem avoidable and
So glad to have 1847 back open again! Just like before, the food and service were phenomenal! We felt safe and well tended and had a wonderful time!
Our server, Chris, helped make our evening very special.
The service was quick and prompt, first time to this restaurant. Menu was diverse yet not too cumbersome. Full dinner choices to simple burger and app choices. The drink options were extensive and a well stocked bar. Restaurant itself was very nice, spacious without being in a barn, well lit and appropriate. Would definitely consider a meal here again.
My wife had prime rid. I'd rate a 4 out of 5. I had the Mac&cheese I'd rate it 2 1/2. Its not a real Mac&cheese. Not baked not yummy. Don't think they have a trained Chef. Drinks to sweet for my wife. Mine fine but I only has vodka & lime you can't really scerw that up. This is just an over priced Denny's.
Great place, food was great, wish there was more vegetarian dishes to choose from as well as appetizers. We will be back.
1847 Bar and Grill is one of our regular dinner destinations. It is one of the few better places around the area open for a Monday night dinner. I consider the prime rib one of their better deals. It is almost always very good but occasionally can have a tough streak. Our birthday grandson had a very generous portion. We also had jerk pork and a pork schnitzel at our table. All very good. The desserts are worth saving room for. The wine and beer selection offer good variety and the well stocked bar makes great cocktails.
I planned dinner at this restaurant a couple of weeks ahead and our party of three were not disappointed with the experience. Food was very good, service was great. Definitely would return if I were to visit the area again. A beautiful spot in a very nice small town!
Food was amazing. Crab cakes were delicious but I wished they came with more than 2. And I got the catch of the day salmon, which is the best I’ve ever had. The wait was a little long but overall very satisfied!
Carl, the server was very good. Prime rib was excellent, cooked correctly, tasty vegetables.
My husband and I have made 1847 our date night place for 3 years now, including staying at the hotel on Anniversary nights. We have loved the food and service- however- in March, we had several poor experiences (over night stay) with waitstaff and food - all were apologized for and fixed. We were finally able to have another date and chose our favorite restaurant- only to find that several things have changed- Fries Appetizer has now been changed to steak fries (didn't like) and apparently you can't substitute for the original fries - even though those are served with the burgers still..... the Mushroom Brie Burger was always large, juicy and fresh meat.... it's now a very small frozen type patty leaving much more bun than before, the Chicken (for a chicken burger) used to be one large chicken breast - now it's a very small thin grilled chicken slice - again leaving more bun than wanted.... on a side note - they have now added a "brunch" menu. Quite disappointed in this trip - and honestly unsure if we will return to our date place again. we may have to find a new place.
The service was great and the food was good. The last time we went the service was not great and our food took almost an hour. I thought I would give one more try. This time all was good and we will be back.
This is not our first time at 1847 and once again it did not disappoint. The food is tremendously good and the service is on point. The items for our little one are perfect and they accommodate accordingly!
Our experience was fantastic. All of the staff were attentive and friendly, and our server went above and beyond in answering our questions and generally being patient with us as "first timers". The drinks were fabulous, as was the food, and the timing on everything could not have been better. It's the first fine dining experience I've had in quite a while where I didn't feel "rushed" and everything was well-paced. All in all, a wonderful time, and we'll be back with friends!
Excellent service and insight from our server! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to offer great insight when selecting between two very tempting choices.
Service and appetizers wonderful. Entrees...halibut with coconut nut jasmine rice, mambo salsa, and asparagus was disappointing in that the halibut was on the small size, too much rice, mango salsa great, asaparagas was so thin, I couldn’t get it on my fork, but taste was good. My husband had the NY Steak dinner with blue cheese topping, mashed potatoes and French fried onion, I forget his vegetable. You and I both know that is a poor cut of steak, it had the consistency of packed wet mashed newspapers. I’ve been through chef school, I can recognize you are cutting corners, steak was tough to cut, chewy. Your bread just is terrible, even with the garlic. It is your sourdough starter that tastes like a corn bread consistency, off putting flavor.
My wife and I went for our anniversary, looking for something exceptional. Our previous experiences had been good. She likes a good steak whereas I am vegetarian. She enjoyed her steak, remarking it was excellent. Vegetarian choices were extremely limited, so I ended up with a smoked salmon salad. Just average. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. Ambiance was subdued, upscale.
This is the second time lately that I have come for lunch and the service was fairly poor. It was not very busy. It took about 50 minutes to get our food and in that time the server never came by once to refill our coffee, water, or to explain the wait. For this reason, I probably won’t be back.
This was our second time here. On each of the trips one of our dinner choices came out fairly poor quality, this will probably be the last time we eat here. My partner ordered the NY steak and it came out grey, rubbery and a large portion of fat on it, and because it was not grilled the fat was like gelatin. My dinner was pretty good, but overall for cost this place isn’t really worth it. We love the ambiance and the garden, setting is beautiful, but sadly the food doesn’t live up to the atmosphere.
Celebrating an early Memorial Day with my father, a WWII Veteran.
Service was prompt and friendly. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Excellent food and service! And the place is a gem!
The garden and pond were designed by the same person who did the Japanese garden in Portland.
Appetizers were excellent. We had shrimp and artichoke hearts. Sauce had just the right amount of spice. Ladies had Caesar salad and crab cakes. Men had prime rib and fettucine. All were pleased. We shared a slice of chocolate cake for dessert. Waitress, Sarah was terrific. She was quite the beauty and efficient. Made great food suggestions, kept our decision making moving along and made us feel welcome.
Best Place for a Hamburger and have a meeting, very well hidden in the BW Hotel, well done Lebanon.
The wait staff are amazing. The appetizers (crab cakes and crispy artichokes) were pretty blah., salads (house and Caesar) were average. The main courses (tenderloins and chicken marsala) outstanding!
My main gripe would be the guest next to us watching youtube videos at his table at full volume during our meal.
I still like going here. Clean, neat, pretty quiet and good food options and cocktails. I did make a reservation but arrived 10 minutes early and ended up waiting for 20 minutes to be seated this time. The restaurant wasn't full so I'm not sure the problem.
Food was delicious. Patio looks like a beautiful place to eat when the Willamette Valley Weather permits. Look forward to coming back in the future.
