The waiter absolutely made the entire experience that much better. It may be a bit pricey but it was definitely enjoyable. Check it out for yourself!
Party of 3, Sat night, great river view, not too busy, waiter was nice, they forgot our meat pie entrees, served us a crab cake as a present, brought out meat pies with meal. We’re patient people, like long meals, and it was a bit long of a wait for entrees. My hubby was served the smaller filet , although ordering the large one. Great tasting meal though. My rare filet and lobster Mac and cheese were on point. Comp’d meat pies and a round of drinks. Nice touch. However , discovered after we left, that when me and my brother split the bill, the suggested 15%20% 30% tip on the bill , was on the total bill price, not on individual totals. So he got a 45% tip. After three rounds of drinks, I wasn’t thinking straight. Oh well, they got us on that. We had a good laugh.
18 Steak was disappointing. The service was lackluster, the steaks were served barely warm. Nice menu, nice atmosphere, but food and service fell short.
It was great
Note: No Open Table points given here for this meal.
One of the best places to eat for a birthday or any special occasion for that matter. Ambience is classic steak house looking out on the mighty Mississippi.
We had a certificate that I bought at a silent auction for charity for dinner and a night in hotel and thanks to Chynna with Lauberge we finally got to use it....she extended the use date for us about six times and for that I am so grateful.
The valet guys are so friendly too and our server at dinner was a Will Smith smooth server.
We had three specialty cocktails and then a nice bottle of Meomi Pinot with a ribeye, redfish and smoked prime rib.
The meal was paced well and the food very good. It isn't inexpensive so know going in it is a special occasion and celebration place. Unless maybe you are Drew Brees.
We had a nice comp chocolate flourless cake brought out for my birthday too. Too full and tired to gamble but the comfy bed took care of that a short walk away.
Thanks again and happy birthday to me!
The food was good but the service was some of the worst I’ve ever experienced, especially considering the price of the meal. We didn’t get cocktails until after our appetizers were out and two of the four drinks were mixed wrong. One of those drinks was never drunk, never removed from the table after we said we didn’t want it and never removed from our bill. We could not get the waiter to come back to our table for a second round of drinks but then as soon as we paid the bill, he asked if he could take it while we were still at the table. This is not adequate service for the price range that this restaurant falls in. It was very disappointing.
I celebrated my birthday and our server Jake was an all in one and by that I mean excellent waiter and very entertaining as well. Our booth was overlooking the river, perfect view.
Son was home from the military for a visit.
Pure heaven !! Excellent Service,Polite Staff,5star
Food was delicious. Tony was very attentive and gave us the service you would expect in a restaurant like this. We will be back!
Great food, great service wonderful birthday dinner !!!
I was pleasantly surprised with our meal at 18 Steak recently. We went before a show and service was a little slow. We just made it to the concert. Otherwise our meal was very good. I had a salad and the lollipop lamb chops, which were delicious! The lamb was an appetizer but was definitely enough for a entree for me. Overall it was a pleasant dinner.
We had an excellent experience at 18 Steak. The only negative (and it wasn't bad enough to even mention) was the steak was a little under-cooked for our liking. We asked for Medium, but it came out a more like medium rare, more red than pink. But it was delicious anyway and we opted not to send it back. The service was outstanding. This was our first time eating here and we will definitely come back again!
We had a lovely Sunday Brunch for Mother's Day at 18 Steak. The staff was extremely attentive and there were a great number of food options. Our only complaint is that most of the items were not served warm enough. They had a lot of interesting options, which was fantastic, but the Eggs Benedict, Waffles, were all very cold when served. Overall my mom enjoyed her day.
Very limited Mother’s Day brunch food options.
My wife and I have been here several times in the past. We’ve always left satisfied with the dining experience. This time we were a bit disappointed. Our steaks were luke warm at best. Put it this way we had the garlic butter added to our steaks and the butter didn’t melt. My baked potato was the same way. Also, they need to provide sharper knives or provide a better cut of meat! Just a bit on the tough side. Not at all what I expected for a $50.00 ribeye!!!
Service was great...and the food was very good!!! Had a nice time and the view was beautiful!
Jake is an absolutely amazing waiter. He makes the difference
Fillet was good and perfectly cooked. Smoked Prime rib wasn't enjoyable. Smoke flavor ruined what would have been a pretty good cut of meat. Horseradish sauce was very thin and lacking in flavor. Pomme Frites were over cooked and greasy and everything needed salt.
Server was very friendly and attentive as we're other employees but food was unimpressive especially at the price point and probably won't go back.
The food was totally awesome with impeccable service.
The food was exceptional and the service was excellent!
Great place for dinner - we met friends at the restaurant, enjoyed the Fabulous food, steaks were very good, as well as the sides. We enjoyed wine and dessert, will go back again. The service was very good, no complaints at all.
steaks were a little dry. Compared to other steak restaurants they are behind
Great restaurant, food and service. Highly recommend
Fantastic food and service. Highly recommen 18 Steak for a fabulous night out in Baton Rouge. The filet was outstanding!
Expensive, but the steak was the best I've had in probably 25 years. I was disappointed that our anniversary was not acknowledged.
The steak was great and our waiter Jake was fantastic. As good as this meal was, we left feeling that it wasn’t as good as the price. Great meal and great experience but wasn’t as good as a $200 meal should have been.
My wife and I ate here in October 2017 and the food and service was excellent and we could not wait to come back. This time we brought friends and everything was just average. No where near the excellence we experienced in October 2017. As a result, we likely will not return as it is a bit pricey, and no longer worth the value.
Best Steak in Baton Rouge, hands down. Must eat. Great service, great atmosphere.
Really had a good time with family the only complaint is my steak was well done and I had ordered medium. I could of complained but I was so hungry at the time I didn’t want to wait for an other steak. The waiter was great always checked on us refilled our drinks. And asked if we needed anything. Yes I would go back .
Great food and conversation
Well worth the trip from NOLA to Baton Rouge. It was our first time there but certainly won't be the last as both the food and the service were excellent!
The waiters where in too big of a hurry. Felt like they where trying to get us out of there.
Excellent food and service. Nice ambiance. Several menu options that were unique.
We were there to celebrate a friends birthday and we enjoyed every moment. It is amazing how the staff who does this everyday could make us feel that it was all done just for us that might.
Luwand our server was exceptional.
Very consistent steakhouse with very attentive service. Always a good choice.
The food was delicious, server was very considerate; all in all, we had a wonderful dining experience for my husband's birthday
I guess ya'll built a fancy looking restaurant for wealthy people to feel wealthy because for the everyday common folk such as myself it's wayyyy overprice for mediocre food. The waiters tend to the rich and tolerate the others who are looking to splurge on a night out with their loved one with a experience they'll remember, but what we experienced was far from that. I looked around the fancy looking restaurant and could look at the faces of others like myself and saw the same expressions on their faces that we had. I understand the premise of overpricing everything on the menu for what you could get at half the price somewhere else, but you should at least get a better product for what you pay. I was curious as to why this place was less than half full on a Friday night, but now i understand.
