18 Seaboard Ratings and Reviews
The food was good. This was my second time eating at this restaurant. I had catfish this time with spinach and there was some grit cakes on the plate also. The spinach was the best part. The grit cakes were pretty nasty but the catfish was good. I do recommend this place.
18 Seaboard remains at great dining choice, with great food, great wine list, and a complete beverage service. The wait staff is always knowledgeable and quick to provide guidance navigating the menu choices. This is first visit in a while, but I'll be visiting again soon.
Horrible experience on New Years. Sat for an hour before we even got a salad. Salmon was good but sides were cold. Was trying to get out in time to see the ball drop and it took forever so pretty much ruined our New Years night. We had ordered dessert (creme brulee) which was burnt. I'll never go back.
We had dinner on New Year's Eve and had great food and service, however the ambience was underwhelming to say the least. Our party of 8 was seated in and adjunct room connected to the real restaurant. If I had known that we would be sitting in that room for dinner I would not have booked us there. I should have been told where the table would be. The ambience of this "overflow rm" is nothing like the restaurant. It actually felt like a run of the mill conference room. Atmosphere is a part of the dinning experience and we were all very disappointed with our table location. Better communication on the management's part would have been appreciated.
So disappointed!! I had heard great things about 18 Seaboard, but can’t say that I’ll be repeating them. The food was bland and pretty tasteless, from the appetizers to the special shareable New Years specials to the dessert. The wait staff was great and the atmosphere was fine, but not so much the food. Darn it!
Between the two of us we shared two appetizers, two entrees, and I dessert. The chef also gave us a sample appetizer and dessert. Everything was delicious and unique. The wine list had exactly what I like. The atmosphere was good. Crowded, but still felt romantic. Service was excellent.
Great waitress! Table was ready when we arrived. Staff was dressed very festive for the Christmas Eve diners! Knowledgeable waitress answered all our menu questions without hesitation. Food came out plated beautifully & without much wait time. I had the filet which was pretty good. Two had the salmon which they said was very good. My husband had the pork shank & he commented that one half was better than the other half. But overall the foidc was good.
Loved the exposed brick walls & artwork from local artists that is available to purchase. Overall a great first time dining experience!!
I’d been to 18 Seaboard years ago when it first opened and remembered that it was a nice restaurant but that was about it. I haven’t been back since bc I don’t live in the area anymore. But wow, I was thoroughly impressed with the food and service. Majority of the food is made in house and it was all well executed and beautifully presented. Service was excellent. I expect good service but they went above and beyond. For the price and total experience, this place is EXCEPTIONAL and I’ve eaten at lots of great restaurants. I can’t wait to go back and tell all my local friends about our wonderful experience.
Had the opportunity to visit 18 twice for holiday outings. The first experience and food was excellent.
Second visit, disappointing. I had recommended this to friends for our Christmas get together and it wasn’t up to par. Not sure my friends will go back. 😕
