Continues to be a great restaurant! Worth the drive down from Wake Forest.
Third time we've been there. And it just gets better every time. The service is great and the food is Rich and tasty, we want to try everything on the menu.
This is our go-to "special occasion" restaurant. Even though we don't make it down there very often, we always feel at home with the regulars and this time brought our tween/teen daughters who were made to feel very special. Jason and his team always have great menu items as well as special surprises. The expanded outdoor dining was great for a warm spring evening.
Our server was a wonderful young woman Shana. The food was excellent all four of us had a wonderful dining experience and we look forward to coming again soon.
The staff made a genuine effort to make sure we enjoyed our experience. The food was wonderful. The decor is inviting. The amuse-bouche was a nice touch.
Food was spot on! Very busy with pre prom and concerts.
We sat outside overlooking downtown Raleigh. The atmosphere and the food were amazing! New Spring menu was delicious.
Always up to expectations. Professional team in place.
the crispy oysters were some of the best I have ever had and the wait staff was friendly and engaging.
Great food great service
Jason and his staff always deliver great food, great service and a great experience.
The wood-fired salmon is to die for....best seafood I've ever had.
My wife and I always come here for special occasions (and I always
order the salmon..)
In addition to a decent menu, the service is superb. After being greeted at the entrance, they all help each other out and are polite and charming. We look forward to our next visit.
We will be back, when other family members are in town, or just st for a night out.
Food was excellent and priced well. Service was excellent -- very helpful, friendly and the food arrived hot and within a reasonable amount of time. No complaints at all -- would highly recommend. We had the shrimp beignets, she-crab soup, brisket, swordfish and sides. They even brought us out a complimentary dessert for our anniversary.
We always enjoy 18 Seaboard. And this last visit was not disappointing. We had a delicous dinner with excellent service.
First visit in many years and was under whelmed. Was disappointed. Perhaps it was just the brunch menu but My memories of 18 Seaboard were much better. I cannot imagine giving it another try.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Very accommodating for reservation changes.
Friendly staff. Curved booths are perfect for quiet, personal conversations or a romantic date.
Always such a wonderful experience here! The service is exceptional and the chef very accommodating with dietary preferences. Food is always extremely fresh, flavourful, and satisfying!
Hands down my favorite date experience in Raleigh!
Love this restaurant!
Always excellent! Upscale dining with southern flair. Responsibly sourced from NC suppliers.
Great consistent quality.
My mother and I just enjoyed a fabulous dinner at 18 Seaboard. Chef Jason Smith's take on Southern cuisine impresses everyone and we were no exception. The restaurant is cool and elegant and the expert staff work hard to create a relaxed but vibrant experience for the diners. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. I really enjoyed the Salmon served on a vinaigrette salad with chevre, farro and pickled onions which they prepared exactly to my request of very lightly cooked with no extra salt. Mother tried the fried oysters and the arugula salad.
We shared the rich and fabulous chocolate cake in a mug dessert. What strikes me the most about chef Jason's creations is the balance of ingredients. Overall this restaurant is a restorative and inspiring experience for anyone who values skillful execution and a good performance.
Love this place! We had an 8:00 reservation, we ended up waiting an extra 15-20 min, which was fine as we sat at the bar and had a drink. When we were seated we were given two free appetizers for the inconvienence. The server was excellent, he was very friendly and fast. Food was amazing (as it always has been every time I've been). Definitely one of our favorite places to take out of town guests!
This place never seems to fail. They are so accommodating and kind. The food is always amazing as well. The She Crab soup is one of my favorite things in the world too!
Consistently great food and wine. Not over priced.
Great evening. We will be going back soon for another date.
The food and ambience are great! We stopped in for a date and got fish and meat entrees. Both were very good and creatively designed. Definitely try the cracklin port and grits!
We had people visiting from out of town and they wanted to try local cuisine especially NC seafood. 18 Seaboard has all farm to table or “sea to table” and its incredible. Your great food made my recommendation shine with our landlocked visitors. Thank you!
We met our son, who is in grad school at NC State, and his date for dinner. We were early and had a drink at the bar, then were seated on time. Everyone had a great meal, excellent wine and mixed drinks. The service was wonderful. We'll be back!
Had an amazing experience here on a Saturday night everything was amazing and we will be for sure return!
This restaurant used to be great, but we are moving on as it is fading. Food was mediocre - my cod was really dry, potatoes a bit undercooked. Everyone in our group felt their dish was ok, but nothing more. Service was just plain weird - trailing dishes for each course, coffee delivered promptly but the espresso took forever. Nice setting but not worth it this time.
We frequent 18 Seaboard fairly often and it is a favorite. Recently we have experienced service lacking. Our last dining experience had terrible service. We had to repeatedly ask for our check to end the bad experience which took an additional twenty minutes. Our waiter barely took notice of us the entire meal and was incredibly slow.
Service was excellent.
Two of our party of four got the pork shank. Both were slightly overdone. Good flavor but too dry. The blackened shrimp and the scallop special were both excellent. My Old Fashioned was disappointing. For dessert the mug of chocolate cake was very tasty.
We we're pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at the restaurant. Creativity was thru the roof with so many options! Highly recommend this restaurant and we will return for sure when in Raleigh!
She crab soup was the highlight of the meal. Best we have had anywhere. Entrees were ok. Did not live up to the description lacked seasoning but over all an ok meal. We would go back just for the soup and small plates.
Great chefs, great service, great restaurant
Our reservation was at 5pm on a Saturday. Food and service were very impressive, and the atmosphere evolved a lot as the restaurant filled up by 6:00. I highly recommend the flounder. Can't wait to go back!
We had relatives from out of town for the evening and chose to go to 18 Seaboard. We were heavily involved with conversation for much of the evening and our wait staff "tolerated" us so well, trying to keep us on track. It was most enjoyable with staff allowing us to remain at our table way past the anticipated time. I did keep an eye on the floor to be sure that there were available tables for arriving guests. We all ordered different entrees and all were well prepared and creative. All plates were cleaned!
