17Hundred90 Inn and Restaurant
A living time capsule of America's earliest decades, 17Hundred90 captures the authentic flavor of an eighteenth century river port hotel and restaurant while working diligently to provide wonderful new memories for our guests.
Our server was very rude! We observed the other servers in the restaurant were very friendly to their guest; however, our server was just plain rude. It’s extremely rare for me to leave a note and no monetary tip for our server, but this is how bad our service was. She ruined an evening with my family we were so excited about!
What a wonderful place! We enjoyed it very much. Not only beautiful, but the food was spectacular! Highly highly recommended!
Great food and atmosphere!! Got there early and enjoyed some hippie juice.
Great place! Great ambiance and delicious food. 5 stars!
This is a very good upscale restaurant. The atmosphere is romantic and the food and service are excellent.
Good food at a great price. Nice service and ambiance. would go back again!
Amazing food, service, ambiance, and pricing. The chef creates wonderful daily specialties. Our new Savannah favorite!!!
One of the best restaurant meals I’ve ever had. It was the nightly seafood special- grouper. Awesome.
Wonderful ambience. Service was excellent as was the food. An additional bonus was the folklore surrounding the haunted happenings at the inn. A great experience.
Perfect spot for my mother in laws birthday
My wife and I enjoyed evening at 1790 while on vacation in the area. We would recommend as the food, service and history of the building made it a great spot for dinner.
Enjoyed peach martini, old fashion drinks to start the evening. They serve honey soak biscuits to start the meal. Yum...
We had fried green tomatoes as starter- was what we had hoped for. Blackened shrimp and pan fried grouper were delish... Great regional flavor came through and ga shrimp are the best. Service was spot on and attentive. We will be back.
We came here to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed a quiet dinner. With Piano music in the background the ambiance was lovely and the food was awesome. Highly recommended
It was great except the waiter would try to take our plate when we were not finished yet.
We had an incredible experience! Our waiter was very personable and professional. From the biscuit, to the fried green tomato appetizer to our delicious entrees each course was incredible. Unfortunately we were too full for desert. The ambiance was relaxing and took us back in time, the pianist completed the experience. We will be back again soon!
One of my husbands favorite restaurants in the city, we celebrated his birthday Friday night. Delicious meal and wonderful pianist who played quietly in the background adding to the romantic ambience. Never disappointing.
Our favorite dinner location in Savannah!
The lamb was over cooked. Our server was not very knowledgeable about the food and forgot to tell us the specials until we heard the other server tell the next table what they were.
Amazing food and amazing waiter. Very attentive and pleasant.
Good food at a reasonable price, great ambiance (to include the piano player) and great service from the waiter.
I proposed to my girlfriend here just this past Thursday. I had the waitress help me out with a few details and she was great! The best experience one could have here at this restaurant. Have been here three times prior, and exceptional service every time. Highly recommended.
Charming ambiance and delicious drinks and meals. The pianist was an added bonus!
My husband and I are on vacation and decided to make a reservation at this place. We were definitely not disappointed. Everyone was pleasant. Food was great and cooked to perfection. We both ordered the Filet mignon and it just melted in your mouth.
We went while in town for a girl’s trip. We enjoyed our dinner.
17Hundred90 was the first restaurant we ate at in Savannah. It was one of the best restaurants we experienced. We both had the Shrimp Scampi special with a Crab Stuffed Mushroom appetizer. I also enjoyed an Old Fashioned. Our server Parker was very good. We would highly recommend this restaurant. It is listed as a haunted building but we did not experience or see anything during our dinner.
Nice ambiance, good service, excellent live music but food was disappointing. Underwhelming and just ‘so-so.’
First time in Savannah and asked for recommendations. Your restaurant came up immediately and since it was walking distance from where we were staying, we thought we would give it a try. We went Friday night and was please surprised. We went back again on Saturday night. The food was over the top. But most enjoyable was the piano music. Not too overpowering but soft and pleasant. Still able to hold a conversation. Next time there we will go again.
Awesome Scallops !!! and you need to save room for Pecan Pie and Kahlua Ice-cream. Ask for Parker he is great, knows the menu and has been in Savannah all his life.
The food was absolutely fabulous. The venue itself was perfect.
This place fantastic!! We were celebrating our anniversary. When we got there everyone congratulated us on our anniversary from the hostess to the person that seated us to our waiter!! They even gave us a special treat!! It was great! I tried the exotic special which was ostrich, it was very good and tender. My husband ordered the Hilbo steak. He said it was one of the best steaks we has eaten. I would eat here again!!
Most amazing biscuits ever! Crab stew was excellent. Other food was good, but not outstanding. Pecan pie was much too dry—a disappointment really. (Tip: Skip the dessert menu; just ask for another biscuit.) Ambiance was lovely. Live piano was fabulous.
This restaurant was simply amazing! The service was impecable and the food was even better! My friends and I really enjoyed ourselves!!
Loved the ambience in old Savannah. Food presentation and taste above average. Service slow to get started but once we got a server, all was well.
I booked a reservation for dinner for a group of five celebrating the bride to be. Our reservation was booked more than a week in advance, maybe even two. We were ten minutes early for our reservation. We were told they were not ready for us at the time and that it would be 10-15 minutes. We were fine with that since, like I said, we were early. After multiple times of being told only a few more minutes, we were finally seated almost 45 minutes later. Once we were seated, our waiter finally came about four minutes after to see what drinks we wanted. He tells us to give him 30 seconds to go tell the bar our order (only one of us ordered something besides the water we were already given). Around 5 minutes later he comes back to tell us the specials. We place our order and were brought honey biscuits a few minutes later. They were pretty good. It didn't take terribly long to get our food and once we got our entrees we could see why. It was food that was prepared beforehand and portioned onto our plates. Three of the five of us ordered the Boursin chicken, which came with potatoes and mixed veggies. All of it was barely warm, and the veggies looked like the frozen vegetable medley you're served in a school cafeteria. The other two entrees ordered were salmon and shrimp. The individuals were pleased with the taste. The food wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't worth the money we paid for it. The staff weren't terribly rude, but they weren't the friendliest people either. The restaurant has way too many tables for such a small area, and only one table should seat 5 or more. We were crammed and it was super loud in the restaurant. We were so close to the other tables that we could hear the conversations taking place all around us. I was overall disappointed in our experience here. We were expecting way better service and food for such a special evening.
Great food nice environment with attentive and courteous staff. Enjoyed dinner and drinks at the bar. Loved the bar we went back the following evening.
We have lived in Savannah for two years and love to try a place we haven’t been before.... we both agreed that this was hands down the best meal we’ve had in Savannah.... the swordfish was melt in your mouth and I cleaned my plate which I rarely do.... superb
Food was very good and service was excellent, we loved the ambiance and will recommend to anyone we know visiting Savannah.
Great food and ambiance. Will definitely be back whenever we come back to Savannah.
Used to really like this restaurant but was disappointed on this visit. The service was perfunctory, not especially friendly. They passed by and did not refill water, when asked for more bread it never came. Food was good if not inspired, pricing is right. I would suggest they clean off the 1/2” of dust from the piano.
Great service! I really enjoyed my server. Very attentive.
We arrived early for our reservation and went to the bar for a drink. Everyone was so friendly. The lady behind the bar was the only one working, and she was serving many people. Yet she was efficient and friendly. When we went to our table, everything was wonderful. There was great ambiance, lovely piano music, wonderful selections and delicious food. We WILL return.
